Very interesting build, I would have put Akerman geometry on the steering so the wheels turn correctly relative to each other, the rest I would build as you did. One thing in your use of the crane, never choke your lifting wire, always use a strop, (you could make a box to sit underneath to hold strops and chains), choking the wire damages it and can cause it to fail eventually, stay safe so we can watch your future builds.
VERY NICE BUILD! You could add one or two fold out outriggers with feet you could lower on the side where the crane mounts. This way you can prevent the cart from tipping over if the load is too much for the crane side and if you have to unload on the crane side. Love the locking brake on the front wheel, excellent idea!
It lacks some extendable supports to avoid tipping due to displacement of the center of gravity. The cranes have four extendable arms that increase the safe surface of the load movement. I would have put the crane in the middle just above the front axle. You could have designed the same car without so much height to the ground (it is not necessary to lift the load so much to move it). For the rest, this is very good. Congratulations for being so creative.
So what gives a given vehicle its strength? Is it the gwv or the materials used as the reinforcements to support such a load? Lets say we have a typical car, say panda @ 3,800. 4banger 220hp, 200pf, how much could this said vehicle pull or lift with a prefabed harden steel bracket modified at some point where the unibody frame is structurally sound? I ask because you seem to be knowledgeable about crane tolerances, booms, lifts, ECT. Im trying to understand these tolerances that are sometimes given for safety, but can probably exceed there limits if reinforced by fabricated brackets like a winch plate or something chemically engineered to flex, bushings/ spring loads that withstand major forces & remain intact.
Two suggestions, add counterweight to the opposite side from the crane and add a u shared pieces in front of the main roller to keep the cable from jumping off. Otherwise an awesome build

Great build. I would suggest you change the direction of the cable clamps on your winch cable. "never saddle a dead horse" Edit: That said, the way they were installed will certainly hold the amount of weight your rig can lift. It's just good practice in general.
This was a nice introduction video for making just about everything. The possibilities become endless when you have the acquired skills used in this video. I see it for more than it's worth👍 when I'm just getting into cutting, drilling, grinding, welding and painting.
If you build one it will drive you insane for falling over. You don’t need a rear axel bar, so make it so you back it around the load, like an engine hoist. You lift the weight up within the wheelbase, throw a couple of planks under and lower it back down. I know this because my home made mobile garden crane is an unstable beast. Useful, very useful, well worth the building, so make one like the one in this vid with a mod so that it is stable :o)
SAFETY EDITING NEEDED !!! Cute idea. Thanks for posting. One thing I saw thats very dangerous, and NEEDS very much to change, and it's NOT on your apparatus...its the procedure you're using. Anybody in industry will tell you, NEVER to capture your cable with your hook! Every edge that your cable bends around, puts side pressure on the strands and, over time, they will fray. This does several things. The cable isnt as strong as it was before, plus, now you have another safety problem tgat razor sharp points are sticking up to tear your flesh when you, or someone else inadvertently puts their hand there and ends up having to have stitches. It's a VERY BAD HABIT ! One that must be changed. Get some straps or ropes and learn how to use them and keep them WITH the lift table. Hook your crane TO THAT. Never wrap a crane cable around anything! I'M NOT TROLLING ! I worked for over three decades with cranes and cabling and I saw folks do this bad habit and set up an accident for someone else! Please stop! This video is instructing folks that DON'T know any better, a really BAD habit ! Please edit the part out where you thread the crane cable thru a piece of equipment and capture the cable with your hook, before somebody accepts that practice and hurts folks!!!
