Hello Stacey, I just found your channel and have been binge watching your videos. Thank you for being so clear and comprehensive with your instructions, it makes a world of difference. I’ve just started to delve into patch work, so I’m like a sponge absorbing all the information. I thought I detected a hint of an Australian accent, so ‘hello’ from Australia. I’m looking forward to future videos. Have a lovely weekend. 🧵 🪡 😊
Thanks so much for your super kind comment. I’m glad you find my videos comprehensive, I try very hard to remember to record every step. I appreciate you binge watching my videos 🤗 I am from NZ, but lived in Australia for 9 years before I moved to the USA 🇺🇸 You might like to check out my free five week beginners quilt course: www.stacey-lee.com/2020/12/21/quilt-club-with-stacey-lee/
Hi Stacey..you’re the best teacher for novice sewers. The details really help me to understand how to sew easily and stress free..thanks so much! Catherine from Canada…love your channel ..sew many ideas!
Thanks for the shout out, Stacey. But, as I said in chat, you were the original inspiration. 😍 It's a really sweet project. My friends loved them so much. Such a simple but meaningful gift.
Credit, where credit is due Louise. Like I said over on Facebook "why didn't I think of that?". It was such a clever idea, and although it was my tutorial, you put two and two together to come up with the idea of doing hearts! 😊
I've watched 2 or 3 of your videos in the past to see if I like your style - so finally subbed and joined your weekly email. Thanks for sharing so many videos, which I'll need to catch up on. Watching from England 😍
Love, love, love this❤. I am going to make hubby a camouflage heart and put a pocket on it. Write a love note saying: Happy Anniversary I love you to the moon and back! Yes we got married on Valentine's Day.....48 yrs ago💖 Thank you Stacey
Very cute project! Your tutorials are so descriptive. It makes following the instructions easier. Love the idea of changing up shapes for the holidays or time of year. That you both!
I had a thought - if you used a light interfacing instead of batting you could make a bunch of these in all hearts and different shapes and use them for bunting.
Thank you for the compliment! I'm glad to hear that the instructions were helpful and that the project was suitable for beginners. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, feel free to let me know.
That's a great idea! Using light interfacing instead of batting would make the hearts more stable and less puffy, which could be perfect for bunting. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment, I really appreciate it 😊
Thank you so much for the kind feedback, I try my best to not miss a step and say what I am doing and why (when I remember). I appreciate you watching my video and taking the time to leave a comment 😊
Hi Stacey, Thank you so much for your great tutorials!!! I have a question about this project - what can I do to prevent the fabric from bunching? The batting gets pulled ahead a little faster than the top layer so I end up having a little extra fabric on top by the time I sew all the way around the heart shape. What should I be doing to prevent this from happening? Thank you!
@@staceyleecreativeNo I haven’t, I didn’t know if I could use one on such a small project but it sounds like I can! Thanks so much for your response! 😊
Stacey, what was the other option on the batting. I think you said something on the lines of insulation. Also, I'm in need of new thread. I've used Aurifil forever. You have switched to Glide, how do you like it? Thank You
Hi Ruth, it's Insul Bright batting, what we used in the double oven mitt amzn.to/3JVqXTf Juki Junkies recommend Glide thread, so I have been using it. I love it for general projects, and quilting the quilt, however undecided if it's the best for piecing your quilt. But I will say the price difference is huge, so definitely not going to break the bank to try Glide thread and see what you think. I think Auriful is over priced.
I think you'd find the point of the heart would be much neater if you started the decorative inner stitching about 1/4 inch inside the border, making it completely separate from the trim stitching. Just a thought.

Hi. I couldn’t make out which batting to use to make it more protective? Would you mind sharing that again? Thanks! ❤
Hi, I used regular batting, you could also use Insul-Bright. You can click on the links in mg description to go to my website with all the details 🤗
Pinking shears are great for those curves.
