My needle won’t go through the last part when it comes time to stitch the tab hanger. I also tried to hand stitch it but I can’t get the needle through. Any suggestions?

Glue sticks would glue the bias tape lattice easily.

What is the width of the bias tape you used? The largest size I can find so far is 5/8" at either Amazon or Hobby Lobby. I'm also searching for a tan color so it looks more like an actual crust. In 2010, I purchased the Grandma Dot's Fruit Pie Potholder pattern and made several of these as gifts. I think it may be time to pull that pattern out again and make some more!
