October 15, 2024 | The scourge of human trafficking presents worldwide challenges, violating human rights and undermining justice and dignity. Religious leaders and institutions have long histories of advocacy and practical action to bring an end to trafficking. The G20 Interfaith Forum (IF20) has urged over the years that action on trafficking should be a central focus for the G20. With Brazil as the G20 2024 host, the priority of multifaceted partnerships in addressing global challenges has taken on central importance. The IF20 has thus proposed specific actions, including notably a G20 Working Group on Human Trafficking, and IF20 support for its agenda. This webinar will present brief highlights of the human trafficking challenges, religious engagement in its diverse forms, and proposed action in the G20 context.
