I’ve noticed that humming birds don’t really care if something is bigger than them or not. They chase around all kind of birds, even magpies. I also can get really close to them
It's because they just don't have time their heart beats like 385039373749 times a second lol they're literally dying every second if you really think about it, that's why they give no f's. 😂

We saw Hummingbirds in Arizona. They are really beautiful birds and acrobats of the skies. :-)
What they said in this video explained a lot to me. I definitely picked up recently that hummers do a lot of feeding during the evening times but the mornings never occurred to me due to me being at work. They also seem to love feeding in the rain. There's a certain one that _always_ comes to my feeder during rain. Even when it was storming super hard, he was still at it.

Several years age I visited my grand mother close to Colorado's Royal Gorge. We stopped and ate at a place that had 25 feeders hanging in the eves. They clamed that they took 12 cameras and took pictures all at once. Clamed there was over 100 birds.
Another place to go is Tucson Ariz. Wild life _____ _____ . They have or had a humming bird house, you could go into at nesting time you could pick up cotton thread on your way in and they would take it from your hand, and some times they would land and rest on you. I had a cap on but the wife had to get out a scarf as they were trying to take her hair.

We live Southern California and have many hummingbirds visiting our feeders. I love watching them and hand feeding them.
Hummingbirds are the best things that evolved in nature. Evolution created all these wonders. I have a couple that come and I put a feeder and they occasionally drink from it. Maybe I need to sweeten it more

They are probably caught in very fine mist nets that do not harm the birds. There are researchers who catch and collect their vital statistics and put a tiny band on one leg so if it caught later then researchers get an idea where they go and how old they are, etc.
They DO harm the birds.

Their flying ranges of motion are supernatural, as well as their intelligence ie. they remember all the patches of nectar sources on their migration routes, human are good at this kind of memory too.

It's amazing the amount of energy these birds have. It's like they naturally produce meth or something. Can you imagine having to constantly move your arms that fast? You'd be so drained of energy and out of breath probably after only a few minutes. They do that all day. Even when their wings aren't moving you can tell just by looking at them they're really hyped up.

My mom has narcolepsy. One time I stole some of her ritalin, ground it up and dissolved it in our hummingbird feeder. Most of them died pretty quickly. I imagine their hearts gave out. But there was this one that actually caught on fire. I asked a physicist and he said that its wings beat so fast that it compressed the air around it to the point of combustion.
If any of you are outraged by this please consider that if the last sentence obviously didn't happen, then the rest of it probably didn't either. Probably.

A quick google shows there are 17 hummingbird species in Trinidad, but 300 in the world all in the western hemisphere.
Living in Vietnam is kinda sad. You got all these birds but humming birds are pretty rare to find
