I watched a Robin build a nest outside once. What an amazing work of art....she built it for her..right down to putting her wings out to make sure she could protect her babies in the rain. Seriously amazing!
"Wow," you are so lucky to have seen that @LadyYoop. It amazes Me the things that BIRDS will find on the ground or in dumpsters to build their Nests with. One day, back in (1996) while outside, I was cutting my little niece's HAIR, and I no longer threw some of her hair over to the side "that I had cut," and a BIRD must have been WATCHING us, because the BIRD swooped down and quickly grabbed my niece's HAIR that I had cut off, and my little niece who was around (4 years old at the time) says: "Hey," that Bird just took my Hair. So I told my niece that that Birdy was going to use her HAIR to help build its NEST. Then, back in in (2016 or 2017) while I was outside playing with my young nephew (who was around 5 or 6 years old), I saw a Bird's Nest that had fell out of a Tree, and onto the ground, so Me and my Nephew walked over to check it (to make sure there was no baby birdies in the Nest), and the Bird's Nest was empty. But, I couldn't believe what all we saw in that "Bird's Nest." The Bird had used "Lawn Chair Stripping's," and "Yarn," Cotton Balls, and even "Dental Floss." I painted a pretty Birdhouse to put out onto my Apartment Patio, so hopefully I will get a Birdy to live in it. There's two different trees below my Apartment Balcony that has "Birds" in a Nest. One is a "Morning Dove," and I'm not sure what the other one is directly below my Apartment, but I love hearing it chirp and song all day and night long, and even into the early Morning hours, so I'm wondering if it's a Nightingale or a Robin. 🥰
Absolutely spellbinding. The parents and the babies are all so chatty! The muted subtle colours of the female, and the vivid electric blue of the male are exquisite. Loved this Lesley. Thankyou.
@@BirdsWalkingDown Oops! Apologies. I didn't pay attention to detail. My bad. I thought the video was by Leslet the Bird Nerd. I loved though, whoever put it all together.
This is beautiful to see. We have a bird house in our backyard and some blue birds moved in. It's been pretty special watching them feed and protect their babies. From egg to adolescent. They all moved out today. I'm glad they grew up safely.
We had song birds in our front yard and we were always happy to hear them chirp and watch the mom feed them but unfortunately today we found some of the nest on the ground and we think a predator came and got the babies we are super sad 😢
Such a beautiful bird… no wonder they’re the “blue bird” of happinesses☺️ I wish these loveliest of birds lived in my area of the US… 💙I love this vidieo💙
Wonderful! I've had a blue bird house in my backyard for 8 years now, they have multiple clutches each season, but I've never seen it from this angle! I'm really glad the House Wren that popped in at 1:52 didn't decide to come back after the eggs were laid and poke holes in them.
@@zeebest1004 - House wrens instinctively attack eggs in nesting cavities that are close to their own nests. That response has evolved to protect their own broods. There is only a limited extent to which one can affect such natural behavior. But if one puts up a next box for bluebirds, it’s a good idea to watch for any natural cavities nearby that wrens may be using, and try to place any bluebird box a good distance away from there. Obviously, if one is setting up multiple nest boxes, including wren boxes, one should try to keep the wren boxes distant from each other, and from boxes designed for other species.
