How fascinating to see how both parents feed the babies. It’s a big family, 6 babies to look after. Beautiful birds and babies. ❤. Thank you for sharing. Helene
Love this whole video. I love when the last 2 little babies didnt really want to leave...how they looked at each other and kinda sadly then one decided to go for it. The last little one took his/her sweet time.
So compact and caring and so affectionate towards their family, this Eastern Bluebird is worth an example, thank you for sharing the video which is very useful, great Bosque 👍
Absolutely amazing video, Terry! I love how the male Finch looks into the nest when the first baby hatches…..just like a proud papa! Thank you for sharing!
Best video I have seen, ones the babies are gone they look in the nest sad and then they decide to make more babies, that was the best dad and mom i have ever seen they communicate with each other
That is absolutely amazing how the male feed the female and she feeds the babies. They really are teamwork. Now that’s what I called devoted. That is beautiful. Wow, so amazing Jehovah creation so amazing beautiful.🥰❤️😍
I had house finches last year on the front door, so I only exited and entered through the garage. It took roughly three weeks from when they hatched to fly away and leave the nest. It’s amazing how fast something so helpless can grow to maturity. The father also helped a lot with taking care of the nest, watching over them.
We have these nesting in an Easter decoration on my front porch right now. Babies just hatched! So far 3/5 have hatched and the mom is caring for them. Haven't seen the dad at the nest but I caught him on "patrol" while I was sitting on the porch near the nest. Adorable little birds!
I really enjoyed this thank you. I buy a couple of boston fern hanging baskets every spring to hag on the porch. Last yr I left the ones I had hanging as I figured for winter interest-rather then empty space and wasn't hurting anyone. I had seen a small finch going into the hanging basket 2 times at beginning of spring and I thought maybe he was eating some bud or something as they were all dried out etc. I went to remove the hanging basket and saw the finch watching me on the edge of the roof and I saw the tiniest nest in there, in the dried out dead fern with the tiniest blue eggs-3 of them, size of jellybeans. I was shocked and it all happened so quickly, I immediately hanged it back up. I fet so bad taking it off-I was in shock and quickly put in back and then went in the house so to encourage the mother to go back and everything ok. I figured she was watching me as I looked and scanned around and did not see her but went I went into the house-saw her go in the basket-I hope i put it back in right direction ...don't know what direction but i just hung it back. I'll just keep my new hanging ferns on the steps. How amazing.
@@BirdsWalkingDown Wouldn't everybody do that..I just started a garden right below these hanging baskets and planned to do a lot of digging, weed pulling, planting, mulching etc and now worry that by me doing this will frighten them and abandon the nest..? Do you think I'm ok doing my garden right now...?

@@BirdsWalkingDown Thanks for taking the time to share your birdie love. I'm with you. House finches are just common redheads but they thrill me with their singing. I love them. When I worked selling and repairing antique rugs, there was a patio where I would do the repairs. There were lots of colorful yarn pieces left over. I'd sit there repairing while the boy redheads would compete for partners with their beautiful singing. One morning I went to do repairs. I looked up and saw a something really colorful in the storage sheds top beam. Upon a closer look I saw the most beautiful bird nest the Finch couple made out yarn leftovers. It was stunning, 😍. Who'd have thought 🤔 the yarn would be put to use in the most glorious way. I wish I'd taken a pic of it but it was before the iPhones. They raised their babies and left for the winter. I've never forgotten the beauty of that nest. A gift from two common redheads.
Other birds 🐦 could learn from these birds. The mother &father feed each one every time no fighting no killing over food. They all work together. Great video guys. 🌴😎🤗😇🌴
It is pretty funny how he just drops off the ledge, I also actually chuckled. Di does a hop and opens her wings a bit so he definitely hurls himself off, with style! Big crop on Di, so X seems to be a good mate.
Beautiful! we have a house finch family in our yard where mama and dad are on clutch 4. There’s a few red males who stick around and mama feeds them still 😅😅 even as adults mama and pops feeds their grown babies
Wow, compared to other songbirds they are bad with leaving the poop sticking up there. Never seize to learn. Thank you for this! As a retired wildlife and bird rehabilitator I only know too well how much work it takes to raise these chicks, but I never really got to see how the parents go about it. Good to know I was a bit cleaner lol.
I was watching some Japanese channel with various tit parents...they are extremely super-clean! Best part is that the poster counted the trips the birds took to built the nest and how many trips each parent took to feed the other and the chicks. WOW! A pair of tit parents laid 11 eggs. Within the 79 days from building to the chicks leaving the nest, the female made approx 200 trips with nesting material and 1425 trips to feed chicks. In addition to that, the male made 1970 trips with food. 1821 of these trips were to feed the chicks and the other times to feed the female during incubation. The parents fed the chicks 3246 times in total. That's over a 100 times a day. And that's not counting picking up the poop each time and carrying that outside of the nest. I have yet to watch bluebirds and am hunting down blackbird videos too. Besides that, I am struggling to get over my human perception of how the cuckoo and cowbird goes about it all lol.
