@Subs&Paws- When putting the screws through the mounting flange, of a subwoofer, i just put the slipper clutch on the drill to the lowest setting= #1. This setting is so little force, that it won't even get the screws, all the way down, the 1st time. Then i go to the #2 setting, in a star pattern, then a #3 setting if #2 wasn't enough. It's very easy to strip out those screw holes, so i go a little more each round. Plus those slipper clutch settings are way more consistant on the amount of force applied, vs me. I think im this way, cause i worked in a Car Audio shop, and i would see another worker strip out holes, and snap off screws heads, with a drill set to not stop. He bent the screw hole area, on the mounting flanges, of almost every stamped steel basket subwoofer, they installed. Im like, "HEY try using the slipper clutch"! There excuse was, "It takes too long"🤦😒 Oh, and its a must to buy, and use the drill bit adapter, that can slide down over the screw= a.k.a. the foreskin😁😆to protect against slipping off of the screw, and puncturing the speaker.
I'll have to try that. As you can see time is of no importance without taking precautions. I pay a lot for my equipment and respect it as much. If I was doing a customer I would use the same diligence. Thanks for the suggestions and thank you for your comment 😊
