All the big boss series are “bass” amps they’re just the smart 3k bass with leds. Also you should got the Taramps EQ Bass knobs instead just the regular bass knob it’s only $7 more and it gives you all the settings on your amp on it subsonic/gain/crossovers/bass boost etc so u can adjust on the fly if you wanna make a change and has your clip light and what not. Check them out.
I just realized that they are just smart 3 k amps in black and led, I actually came across a smart 3k and tried it out and sounds exactly the same as the big boss 3k. I’m selling the smart 3k

Barevids just dropped a video on the Big Boss amps. They are upgraded versions of the original amps. The circuit board has been upgraded with better protection features versus the old boards. They placed sleeves under the coils to prevent the coils from shorting out plus other new protection circuits. Go check his new video.
It’s not the rca as I’ve replaced them about 4 times now and my grounds are good. I believe it’s the pioneer head unit , I hear the grounds aren’t the best on most pioneer units. I had a Sony single din before this one and had no interference or noise until I switched over to this pioneer head unit
Have this amp wired at half ohm but rising over 1 ohm at full tilt and it still performs very well. No issues so far. Had a smart 3k a week ago and hooked it up for a day and I couldn’t tell the difference in sound or performance but the led light on the amp are a nice touch and the this black edition is also another plus in purchasing it. You should be fine at half ohm box rise will keep you in the safe zone.
@@RomaVilla i was not impressed with it this thing tapped out around 3k and limited itself with that stupid smart Bs I guess 3k isn't enough would need a smart 8k at least
Like the clipping is the same? It does work the same but I have mine full tilt with hpf between 15 and 20 so I don’t clip. The bass/ clip meter does help alot
Surprisingly the lows sound pretty good, probably the best sounding full bridge amp I’ve ever owned next to the deaf bonce 2900.1 . Haven’t tried the higher frequencies yet

@@Mr.NpK143 no i sold the amps i had a korean 7500.1 similar to dc audio 7.5k and a taramps md 12k both wired to .4 i was louder on the korean board and sounded way better lol it was like a 160.9+db on the 7500.1 , the taramps metered around 159.8 ish db

I had the smart 3k but it kept going into protect.do you know if there’s a difference between the smart 3k and the big boss 3k?
LEDs and design on the outside body but I be heard the big boss series throw out just a tad more power but basically almost the same boards

Any updates on this amp ?just ordered one for my daily drive 2-15s setup might just run it at .5 or 2 ohm
Running mine at a quarter ohm. 2 D1 subs and haven’t had an issue I still rise too almost 1 ohm .8 ish. Clamping around 4k
