This week on Let's Talk Tuesday, we chop up our custom Corian Countertops!
Yes, you read that correctly. We are taking a saw to our custom countertops that we paid A LOT of money to get installed.
Why in the world did we do that??!! Its simple. We needed more seating in the bus and our bar just wasn't cutting it. It really just became a catch all and we didn't utilize it like we thought we would.
When you hit the road, you learn what works and what just doesn't. When you find out what works, you modify it to suit your new needs.
We measured (and by "we", I mean Jenn, who is notoriously bad at measurements, LOL) the space on either side of the bus where we wanted to put the new couches. Luckily enough, we found a matching sofa and loveseat with the EXACT dimensions we needed. On a wing and a prayer, Jenn ordered the couches from Amazon.
The new couches weren't expected to be in until December 9th, which gave us a ton of time to get the countertops adjusted. Unfortunately, they showed up EIGHT days early! We had nowhere to store the couches, so we watched some RUclips videos and went up to Lowes to get supplies!
Luckily enough, it all went fairly smooth! We are absolutely IN LOVE with our new space and have enjoyed being able to hang out as a family in the living room now!
Have you ever tried to cut your own countertops? If so, how did they turn out? Let us know in the comments!
