RV designers/manufacturers sure could learn from you! In my dads Class C I had to velcro the drawers together to keep them from sliding open while in route. I love your push lock handles! The rv industry is all about pushing out a cheap rv as fast as possible so I bet they hate your video because of your ingenuity and incredible workmanship!

I couldn't have built this. I really love the idea of a Class B for the driving, parking and maneuvering, but the small space was always a non starter for me. 6'4" , 260 lbs. Love the slide outs. Love love the fact you used solid PVC pipes for plumbing...better then the factory uses. I would need an XL version of this, with a full 80" Queen with space for feet to hang off the end, and maybe a higher ceiling. So maybe using a tall sprinter as the base. There's also another van conversion I saw where they use the shower space to have a full closet that slides into the shower when not being used (it occupies the side entrance stairs area when in shower mode so it's a fantastic way to double purpose the shower area. Just talking out loud.

@@tlmelec please come to Alaska and help me renovate my school bus and RV lol I’ve always been a “both feet in” type of person, so when I got hooked on Tiny and/or Nomadic living I bought up the first vehicles I could find in my island town. Problem is now I don’t know where to start lol

Your Omnia Van build is the only Class B I saw myself wanting to drive, as all other vans just seem too small to me.
Hope you patent your _vantastic_ idea to an interested manufacturer and you'll probably never need to work again (unless you want to).
Manufacturers are reluctant to modify vehicles. So they will shy away or build a mini C on a cut-a-way chassis. Thanks for the comment!

The windows are neat, options near the bed. And cool step up into the bed. Seems like a heavy build, weighty. The build out bathroom is roomy.

A brilliant use of space, but I worry about slide-outs breaking or leaking. I love the glossy finish on all the wood.
Thanks! The slides don't use traditional hardware like what fails in travel trailers frequently. Also, should a seal leak, it's not an issue as it drains out the scupper drains that are already in the van walls. Another advantage over travel trailers. 🙂

No I don't. The original Omnia (prototype) was extended differently than current builds. The main reason being availability of materials as the original was a "covid build". I could do a video about the technique when I get some time.

AMAZING!!! I"m kinda afraid to ask, but how much did this total build cost? It would be most helpful to know the financials behind this... like how much the van cost, how much for materials, etc. I think everyone who watches this probably has van envy and wants to know if they can afford one just like it. ;-)
Thanks! A build like this one costs about $90K including labor. Add to that 51K to 85K for a new Promaster depending on features (I got mine new in 2020 for 45K).
