the angle grinder looks a lot like an oscillating tool. Would that work? I want to cut off a "banjo" countertop that goes over my toilet so that its just a square countertop with my lavatory. It'll make a difference too, what height of toilet I can put there with that part of the countertop gone.
This looks like granite not corian. Would make sense why you needed a diamond blade. It’s solid stone. Corian is easier to cut than granite. Basically plastic. A new wood blade works just fine.
My research did say I could use a wood finish blade. I just felt a bit more confident using the diamond blade instead. The smell... That was horrible. Filled the entire back side of the house. Burning smell of plastic... Ugh.
It would bave been helpful to see the actual cuts.
thanks!
A sawzall or jigsaw with a fine blade works great, but is slow cutting.....doesn't chipeither.

I wouldn't try it with oscillating tool. Too thin and a lot more room for error.
Use carbide tipped tooling. A jig saw works well too. It's just like cutting oak..
The smell you will not forget garuntee.

Was hoping for tips for clean straight cuts. Disappointed.
