    This is going to sound moderately insane, but I think this build would be a perfect opportunity to get wild with copper. I can see big copper rads on this, and it's amazing in my mind.

    • @ElembeeOfficial
      @ElembeeOfficial Год назад +9

      I like the idea. Maybe not an "insane" amount of it, but only a tasteful amount would look great.

    • @ramshaka
      @ramshaka Год назад +11

      @@ElembeeOfficial I'm sure Jay would only want to go with radiators, and tube fitting accents.
      But in my mind, and for a long time, I've wanted to do a build soldering four bundled up refrigerator supply lines into 1/2" angled fittings, to where it looks similar to header tubes on a hot rod, both on the intake, and return to resemble that classic V8 style. You could even make a solid copper distro block that drops off both ends of a radiator and splits to 4 smaller lines, on either end.
      Again, this is just in my mind, and not something I've shared or seen. But just to put it out into the aether.
      I might add, that process is shockingly easy to do, if you've ever worked with those tubes. Though, it definitely requires a certain finesse with a hammer to shape the fittings.
      I dunno, just things honkies build in their minds when work is slow, I reckon.

    • @ElembeeOfficial
      @ElembeeOfficial Год назад +5

      @@ramshaka I can see your concept and I'm sure that would look great as well.

      I think gold is more Jay's style but copper would be awesome

    • @ramshaka
      @ramshaka Год назад +5

      @@jazazzaza I just find natural metals kind of sexy. I think the only way to get the gold look without paint would be to use leaf, which is just too fiddly for me.
      If you wanted to do the chemistry homework, I guess you could substitute bronze though. I'm just not sure how that would act in a loop, I know it will oxidize green crud without any additive though.
      But I think you can get a nice 'rose gold' look out of copper, with very minimal extra work. I like to use just an old rag, and coffee, starting from a raw polish, and lock it in with a little clear coat to keep it from going brown.
      Just recently did this with my basement bathroom plumbing. You can play with the antiquing with just a few pennies, and an eraser, till you get the desired color. It's surprising how large of a range you can get.

    At first I was worried that the power board will have upright power connectors (like the 2 extra pairs of EPS at the top) and because the MOBO has a 90 deg. connectors, the awesome cables Singularity provided will be too long (thought it's designed for a normal MOBO), but then I saw the connectors on the power board are 90 deg. as well so it means the cables will make a 180 to the MOBO and it made me so happy! As happy as Jay was when he saw the short cables 😂

    Hey JAY I think that you should put a bracket for the rad to keep the mount from bowing and add an EVGA logo in the middle to give it a special touch. I think that some Noctua NF-F12 fans would look fantastic in the build. you could get Noctua to make an EVGA gold vibration dampener set for the fans to give it an accent. If you can get EK to do custom fittings you could get some EVGA gold fittings to keep the same accent all the way through the build. I would try to see if EVGA could maybe make a water block for the CPU kind of like the EVGA AIO CLC series blocks or get a company to make an EVGA logo CPU block with the inlet at the top of the E and an outlet at the bottom. I think the idea with the black frosted tubing would be perfect for the build. I think this is my favorite build yet. Keep up the great work!
