Was caught up in my “self help journey” last year and it’s just a constant viscous cycle. This video is extremely insightful and I hope more people can come to this realisation thanks Mike!

@@w4sh0k94 because if you value your time enough, and your life, you will pay for more knowledge, rather than spiraling down an endless cycle of "chasing a bag." You chase passion first, then chase self development.
I've never watched those guys since they all seemed synthetic (except for Joe, he's cool). But people like Tate, and everyone else who mentions how it is our duty as men to have order and discipline, they're right. Because that is what masculinity is, at it's core. So if you aren't chasing your dreams, and disciplining yourself by setting your goals, and organizing them to the systems you need, in order to attain them, then you aren't doing enough. That said. He didn't really say much. Just don't follow cons.
PS, even if you aren't on self development right now, it may not be your time yet.
As the guy said... find out what you like first. Then you'll be set.
That's why I have remixes on my channel in the first place.

I freaking love this video, i was searching for this because i wanted to find some clear information about this bullshit. I clicked on this video because i was way more interesed in with less views. Most of the people are clicking easily on videos with 100k+ views because that is feeling trusted. I love the part from 6:06, just straight normal subjects. I realized that going for the most normal interests is the cooles becuase that gets you down to earth and to your real path(s). Thankyou very much!! You explained it perfect in a short video. No more information needed. We dont need more then 10 minutes about this.

It’s crazy, today I made the choice to quit smoking weed, been addicted for the last 12 years, in the midst of my blindness I got lost in this “self help journey” I was listening to every single one of these guys. Today, I made that choice myself, no one told me or convinced me to do what I did and I’m feeling great. I made that choice on my own, I ignored these “voices” Also, in the same day, I went and got a new hire paying job, pretty much hired on the spot. If you want to quit something, just do it, don’t get caught in this mental block, it’s always up to us.

But you did “self help” and used facts you heard to unconsciously redirect yourself. You evolved on your own terms

Self help itself is a business, don't ever forget it. A good speaker can seem like an expert to the untrained ear.

Show me any high profile figure who used any form of the self help industry to get to where they are aside from blatantly obvious science backed things such as working out.

Another glaring issue with self-help gurus is that the advice itself is often tailored to the neurotypical brain, which can make us neurodivergents feel even shittier about ourselves when we struggle very hard to even follow the advice to begin with.
I myself have first-hand experience with this as my well-meaning parents took me to a Tony Robbins Seminar as well as their parent company's conferences as I myself want to run an art business. Despite the excitement that comes in the few follwing days, something in my gut felt off... like the people I was surrounded with weren't my real tribe. And after some more self-educating on my ADHD as well as working on getting better at listening to my gut instint, it turned out it was right.

Self-help coaches offer valuable expertise, accountability, and customized support to individuals seeking personal growth. However, there are a lot of coaches that give overpromised results, they lack credentials, promote one-size-fits-all approaches, or endorse pseudoscientific beliefs. While self-help coaching can be very beneficial to everyone, we should all exercise caution and critical thinking when watching these folks. Take everything you hear with a grain of salt.
And we all have to remember why Gurus do this stuff. It's exactly what Joker said, "If you're good at something, never do it for free."
