      Well Russell replace Mercedes number 1 driver Lewis Hamilton in the Bahrain Grand Prix last season. He was on course to win the race but he got a puncture and Valtteri Bottas took the win

      I just remember being so amazed by his performance. He blazed in first place in a car he had only gotten into that week, and then after the pitstop issue he got even faster and still looked like he would win with the massive disadvantage. I honestly never knew just how much talent that guy had until Sakhir. I'm sure it was disappointing for him, but for the fans it was something special.

      Perez deserved it much more though, don't you remember what happened to him just one week before the second layout of Sakhir, he was in 3rd place 100% getting podium and then BOOM engine failure, so unlucky for them both tbh

      And it's his second time, the first one were when McLaren told him they don't wanted him in the team almost at the end of that season. But at least in McLaren weren't a close relationship as he had in RP (Force India)

      Strike 1: He was going to win the championship.
      Strike 2: It would have been Ferrari’s first champion since Kimi.
      Strike 3: It was at his home track.
      All that hope… and it crumbled after one mistake… ONE MISTAKE… and Vettel has yet to return to championship contention. You have to feel bad for the guy, the first 4-peat champion since Schumacher and is currently struggling. It honestly makes me really sad.

      @@allainangcao28 imo even if seb didn't commit errors in 2018, lewis would've still won the title. people forget that mercedes out developed ferrari at the 2nd half of the season. tho perhaps the title race would've been tighter. still that 2018 hockenheim race was the most painful as a seb fan. hope he gets 1 more chance at a 5th title run in the future.

      @@marco3943 just because Lewis has a better car doesn't mean he's better and can take the championship from Seb, Sebastian is the best driver on the grid, its just that the Ferrrari chassis was heavy which makes it not so stable unlike the Red Bull which has the best chassis so its very stable, and if Seb joined racing point in 2020 he could win the championship because the floor was very stable and made it the 3rd best car unlike this year's car the AMR21 which has a bad chassis and made it the 7th best car, but still he showed that he can battle Hamilton with it if they get close

      @@fakeplayer9088 Yeah apparently, he was told to pit on lap 23 (or to my knowledge) and even worse he was told to box as he was about to enter Poitier! They had plenty of time to tell the crew to get ready. Apparently there was delays in communication due to the team, strategists upstairs and the pit crew downstairs.

      Vettel then went on to get Aston's first podium....but that race was where he kinda went out of strong title contention and admitted that he started thinking about retiring from the sport. Even more annoying that right after his retirement, his replacement, Fernando Alonso, got 6 podiums in the first 8 races of 2023.....

    Seb’s heartbreak is the one that gets me. If there is ever a voice that shows your confidence ebbing away - that would be it. He hasn’t been the same since. I hope Aston Martin brings the old Seb back

    Without a doubt, Vettel Germany 2018 was the biggest heartbreak of this entire clip. Everyone felt it. It was the nail in the coffin. The end of the title fight and the end of Vettel as a number 1 driver in Ferrari. Words cannot describe how heartbroken I was and I wasn't even wanting Vettel to take the championship. But he deserved to have won that race and this was just too much.

      I am honestly tired of the narrative that Stroll keeps it because of the money, which is just false. All i hear is how everyone is sorry for him, but that's F1. many deserving have lost their seats, Perez is no special.
      I don't hate the guy. In fact, i am rooting for him to get the RBR seat. But you people need to grow up that Perez losing the seat is not the end of F1.

      @@berretimmerman3571 No apparently the only reason Verstappen pushed Ocon was because instead of apologising or even blaming Verstappen, Ocon was smirking and saying that he was faster than Verstappen. But of course, that was no excuse for getting physical

    Sad Fact: Every time George Russell had a chance to finish in the points, something bad happens, the mistake at Imola, the pit stop and puncture at Sakhir, and the mechanical failure at Austria.
