I can fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow; my problem is, I don't stay asleep. I generally awaken anywhere from two to three hours of sleep. If I get four hours of sleep at night, that is a really good night. I am under a. lot of stress in my family so I am sure that does not help at all.
8:34 Watch for excessive amounts of B6 in multivitamin tablets. My magnesium tablets had 60mg of B6 in them (unknown to me), with the same brand having 60mg of B6 in their multivitamins. They are toxic doses with the daily recommended amount being 1.5mg. Most people get that amount easily from food. Excess levels of B6 can cause peripheral neuropathy. My last blood tests were 3 times higher in B6 than the level known to cause peripheral neuropathy in some people, so I had to immediately switch to a magnesium without B6. Always check to see if B6 is in any of your supplements.
Same thing happened to me. I was on a methylated b complex for 9 months and it gave me all sorts of odd symptoms and really messed up my sleep. I've sleep much better since getting off it.

I have also watched a video of Dr. Eric Berg DC saying that having enough potassium helps with your sleep.

Take b vitamins closer to bed, except for B12. Take b12 when you first wake up. Take vitamin D during or after breakfast or lunch so long as there’s fat in whatever you’re eating. If you don’t naturally eat foods with calcium and plenty of magnesium, take a supplement with the vitamin d. Most important thing with calcium and vitamin d is to take vitamin K2. If you have a supplement with vitamin d, k2, magnesium, and a little calcium, you’re probably doing pretty well. If you take vitamin d too close to bed it can sometimes keep you up.
Recently, I tried chelated Magnesium glycinate and it's definitely sleep changer. But I'm having more problem with constipation so I switched to Magnesium Citrate which helps with sleeping as well.

Can we get Vitamin D from the sun even in the afternoon?
Yes, sunlight from 10 am to 3 pm has the maximum ultraviolet B rays that produce Vit D3 in the exposed skin.
If you live north of the 35th parallel anyway you can almost never get enough vitamin D3. Need at least 4-5,000 iu usually.
Sunlight in the morning is supposed to help set the circadian rhythm.
