I love Dr Bronner! I have gotten rid of all my chemicals and I use citrus liquid Castile soap and sal suds for everything! Just bought their toothpaste, magic balm and lip balm, so I will be trying those also. I am obsessed with Dr Bronner products! Oh and Angela, I am a school janitor and cleaner for 22 years now and you have a GREAT channel here!
I love the cinnamon, most but the anise and spearmint are great, I’m just not a big fan of the peppermint as that was the flavor I had to deal with growing up!
I will confirm it kills bugs! I have the lavender Castille soap. I was in the bathroom, saw a black widow. I couldn't get to it. I was out of bug killer. For some reason I thought, "wonder if the Castille soap will do anything. Sprayed it, within a minute the thing just died. I used on crickets too!
I bought bonners for my mom in the ashower when she was going thru radiation and ran out of toilet ckeaner, i used peppermint and in seconds it pulled out black mold from under the rim (and I keep my toilet clean, I thought) lol. Seriously you have to see it to believe it..so powerful. I Hope you get some, the only smell i dont preferr is rose (but Im not flowery type) peppermint great, lavender mgood luck!
I got on bronners about 9 years now, started with the toothpaste (cinnamon rocks)! Then made the switch to the soaps and sal suds! I make hand soap and multi-purpose sprays with the Castile soaps (love the citrus, rose and peppermint), and use sals for laundry and dishes (mixed in a spray bottle, where all of it is so concentrated! The cherry blossom (seasonal), is the best!
I love Sal Suds. I'm not a fan of the soap. I have hard water and the soap leaves a film on everything, no matter how much I rinse. The Sal Suds, however, rinses clean.
Yes..I found out the hard way w using it for shampoo castile soap in hard water. I was beyond furious! Lol, laugh now but in that moment I was mad hell on wheels. I was looking for Sal to see if it was alright w hard water..found it!
@@autumnfeldpausch5539 yes, I've used the Dr bronners w hard water and my hair felt coated with a heavy substance. Thankfully an apple cider vinegar rinse after made my hair silky soft. I did keep using it for awhile but eventually stopped.
I just posted a video on my facebook yesterday of Dr. Bronner's magic soap and HOW ITS MY FAVORITE OVERALL PRODUCT over the years of green cleaning. Cleaning, and personal care.
Here's a tip. Love Sals Suds and make my own all purpose spray. Well, I have a dish washer and use a natural gel but it still will have a funky smell after wash cycle is done. One day I took my spray bottle and after loading natural detergent and dishes arecall loaded I spray the whole inside of machine, close and start cycle. Presto, no more funky smell and of course everything is squeaky clean. NEVER use Sals Suds full strength in dishwasher. You will have mountains of suds. I learned the hard way after adding a teeny tiny bit to my detergent. I was scooping suds into the sink. Haha. But diluted in a spray form works magic. 😉🌝
I recently bought the Sal's Suds after the Biokleen apc was discontinued and I'm obsessed! I think it cleans even better than Biokleen and has more uses. It's the only all purpose product I've tried that really is all purpose, I used it to clean my mirrors expecting some level of streaks but there were none. I started out using it diluted in a spray bottle then found out it could be used as dish soap, THEN found out it could be used as laundry detergent. Basically I've replaced most of my previous cleaning products with this stuff. I'm surprised that a lot of people say it's basically the same thing as their castille soap, I tried the castille soap for cleaning and hated it, it left a weird film all over everything which doesn't seem to be an issue with the Sal's Suds.
It sounds like you've found a real winner with Sal's Suds! It's great to hear how versatile and effective it's been for you across various cleaning tasks.
I recently just switched my shaving cream, toothpaste, body wash and face wash to Dr. Bronner's Lavender Castile Soap Bar. I find for personal care usuage the bars are more moisturizing than the liquid. I would definitely use the liquid for house cleaning though.
I agree, I didn't understand why people raved about it, I am not a fan of casile soap or traditional soap in general. I love Sal Suds though just shows how ingredients and process make a big difference!
Omg I'm so happy I stumbled on your channel! I was looking at castile soaps earlier, (trying to go greener In our 8 strong household!) and I'd heard that you could use it for around the home, so I've bought some lil trial sizes (so glad they do rose scent!) but I'm amazed I have never heard of sal suds! I've been switching to ecloths and a few norwex type things, but I still want something, I'm fighting a losing battle with what feels like some kind of film on vinyl flooring, nothing is touching it. I'm assuming that it would be fine to use with the cloths I have? I also wonder, do you ever have to do any strip washing of your cloths? I use dish soap in the washing machine for my husbands car cleaning cloths, and a bit of white vinegar in the fabric conditioner section, but not sure for all the rest. My first use of the castile soap was to clean our orange tree. Worked amazingly! New sub from me, I'm really interested to hear more from you!
No. It is a soap not designed to remove hard water stains or lime scale. You will need a stronger product. Have you tried BioClean? Here is the paid link amzn.to/3Qdfu0J so you can learn more. It's a really popular product with professional house cleaners and it does a great job.
If you have hard water you might want to avoid the castile soap. I love Sal Suds because it is a surfactant detergent (not soap) and rinses clean with no residue!
I just wished People would’ve made an emphasis About the interact of Castile Soap & Hard Water leaving Residue! Who doesn’t have hard water? Now I’m out $20
I use water from the fridge (filtered) to make the foaming hand soap. I don’t use Castile soap for cleaning with water ( like dishes, but more for a multi-purpose sprays)! Also, just a quick spray of that will wash all vegetables and fruits!
@@AskAngelaBrown it still leaves a funky residue especially on the hair. An apple cider vinegar rinse will remove the residue but it's another step. Ask me how I know...lol.

Almond oil is effective for small wood restoration projects. The solvent helps the oil penetrate the wood grain for a long-lasting protective finish. Amazon sells the Tibet Almond Stick amzn.to/3qTfc2F which is great to cover scratches, dents, dings, and blemishes in wood furniture. And Method has a Daily Wood for Good cleaning product amzn.to/2NzBSql that smells like almond if you just really like the almond smell but the Method doesn't leave a shine like typical furniture polish.
The difference is in the dilution ratios and surfaces you're using them on and the type of soil you are trying to remove. If you are looking for specifics the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) will give you a chemical breakdown. And on the SDS are the manufacturers contact information. Changing the dilution ratios changes the pH balance and that determines what type of surface you can use them on.
I LOVE that you're reading your Safety Data Sheets and taking precautions. That will serve you well for your health and the health of the environment. 🙏
Oddly enough, it's not weird at all. I've heard so many people say they switched to castile soap to prevent hair loss. Lots of shampoos have people skeptical about hair loss. 😍
