Me and my buddies have always enjoyed the game, even when everything was nerfed, because we play games to have fun, not to look for problems. Yes, I can acknowledge when something needs work, but I don’t put on a nasty attitude just because something isn’t how I like it. I simply celebrate when it’s changed for the better.
@ajent047 Helldivers that survive missions are allowed shore leave. It's ok to play other games in the name of keeping things fresh. I'm certain our valient fleet technicians will continue working on the DSS and other content.
I just stopped watching the news channels. I only watch you and Eravin now. It's so annoying getting another 10 minute video every day talking about the 2 comments that Pilesteadt or Twinbeard typed.
Something i noticed is that the grenade launcher also works very well on bots, making short work of every type of devastator, the drawback being you rely on your team for most of the AT
Shoot between the hulks legs. Splash damage will destroy the heat sink. I main GL in bots. Not to sound cocky but I plink gunships out of the sky pop hulks and tanks and calculate mortar style shots. But personally, eagle 110 rockets are your best friend with the GL. If it doesn't kill what it hits it softens it up enough. Except factory striders.
I recommend Background Gaming too. He is also a banger content creator for helldivers. Rarely comments on the state of the game and when he does it's usually a sentence, maybe 2. He's just there to play the game in new ways and use weapons people consider "bad"
I love feeling like a mandolorian with the jump pack and sickle, this game is super fun when you don't take it to seriously and just be what you want to be.
Got recommended the video about the Constitution, and now this. Between your take on difficulty and words on getting killed by the DSS and teammates, you've earned a sub. This guy gets it.
Love these videos, you're probably one of the only helldivers youtubers left that doesnt just want to spread negativity fleetwide. Thank you for being a hopeful beacon of liberty in a sea of tyranny
I really don't mind when i get friendly fired, helldivers turned it into a god damn feature. However the more reinforcement tickets you lose the less impact your op has on the liberation progress, on difficulty 8, you can have a max of 20 progress, dying too much can lower that all the way down to 12 as far as I'm aware (at least in practice, dying more typically leads to less side objectives completed). On the topic of the shock trooper playstyle. The jump pack has its own stamina regen trigger on the end of the jump, and I've found it makes heavy armor extremely usable even against bugs. A tip would be to let go of sprint key just before the end of the jump to get the full effect of this.
Great content! As a MG enthusiast, jet pack pairs well with the MG 43 and HMG. You can reload them mid jump, which cover for their primary weaknesses. I also bring sentries with JP. You can deploy them more effectively on high ground. Also, I like to create strategic fallback points with HMG emplacements that I can fly to if things get out of hand.
I love that you mentioned the sheer quantity of at gear being used, because I only bring Thermites for at, and other than that I don’t touch anything bigger than a hulk unless I have to.
I appreciate the address at the beginning. I know you'd definitely rather not have to talk about this sort of thing too much, but being the grounded and optimistic leader you are has a huge positive impact on the fleet. I won't pretend I wasn't a little thrown off by getting constantly blown up by the DSS at first, but I can absolutely appreciate it after some time to grow on me. Also, the Eagle Storm has been utterly incredible. Without a doubt. Those Eagles know how to aim where the bombardment gunners don't. I watched one take out a cannon tower without us needing to lift a finger. With that being said, it's kinda nice to see you return to form with a cool new teamplay loadout video, sort of like you did in the past, and with two of my favorite strategems. For what it's worth, even if the video itself is focused on a single loadout, the way you work each one into playing with a team makes all the difference in the message you're trying to spread with people taking them into the field. I think you're doing a fantastic job as of late, Boss, and thanks for all your hard work for the community despite how divisive it can be. Although what is democracy if not freedom to have differing opinions, right? Even if some of them are less equal than others, but that's what the voting algorithm is for
Data mining is double edged, on the one hand it helped us understand the nebulous damage system in this game, likely more than testing ever would’ve. And on the other it’s started the endless Illuminate schizophrenia. The best take is honestly what you said and I’m glad someone else feels this way. The game is fantastic and chaotic now, over time it will continue to be this way if not more.
The Arc Blitzer and Arc Thrower both have a habit of grounding to terrain. I always try to aim just above my target and at an angle away from any obstructions, I only adjust to headshot bigger stuff after it's stunned.
Zippo man build- any of the freedoms flame war bond or superstore armor for 75% damage reduction from fire. (I prefer the salamander heavy armor) Primary- torcher Secondary- senator or grenade pistol Grenade- incendiary Strat 1: flamethrower Strat 2: eagle napalm Strat 3: orbital napalm Strat 4: shield pack generator Booster: vitality or spicy stims This is a great meme build and is good for holding the line against smaller enemies setting up a barrier between you and your squad choking up bottlenecks, and clearing bug holes. Super fun to play maybe not the most practical but Ive personally gotten missions with 200+ kills running this. Give it a try!! Edit: shield can be swapped for jump pack for easy exit as opposed to staying in the fire longer.
Jetpack let's you access sentry and sniper spots that are cracked, especially when you space out the two so that the bots don't know who to target first
I like the fact that Commissar used the jetpack + Quasar Cannon combo in a build. I never mentioned using the 500KG bomb in mine, but after doing some tests, I've discovered that this is also an excellent answer to a large group of enemies gathering behind you who REFUSE to move slowly enough to despawn. Long live Commissar Kai!
You're a terrific personality. You're a great host. I'm telling The Game Awards to nominate you Helldiver RUclipsr/Community Leader of the Year. Seriously. He keeps his head when everyone else is losing theirs and blaming it on someone else. He's a leader, he's wise, he touches grass, he seems like a nice guy... He is SANE and the world would be better off if more people thought and acted like he does. He's funny ass hell. What's not to like, people? Keep doing what you're doing buddy. 🤠
10:43 I find the flak autocannon to be just as if not better than the nade launcher at chaff clearing, as someone who didn't really like the ac before it quickly rose to one of my favorite bug killers after the flak was introduced and it's also pretty great at shreiker killin
You're one of the few Helldivers content creators that isn't an entitled moron. Thank you for providing content that is level headed and reminds us that this game is about having fun and not being a sweatfest.
As a Ghostdiver who loves fighting the bots, I love my Quasar Cannon. Quick cooldown, unlimited ammo, fantastic firepower. This one time, I managed to snipe the last fabricator from half the map away while we were waiting for extraction. Liberty Bless whoever in the Ministry of Defense came up with this baby!
I love the other DSS stuff. But the orbital bombardment just feels not only not fair but incomplete. I just don’t play on any planets with the bombardments.
You are one of my absolute favorite Helldivers RUclipsrs for your positivity surrounding the community and awesome content! I try out your loadouts every time you post haha
Been playing around with this for a few weeks now. Found the EAT17 and HMG Emplacement are a nice companion to a jump pack. Usually bring the eagle airstrike along with too. Tend to favour the Adjudicator as it packs a wallop at close range, and can be effective at medium to long ranges.
I personally am partial to using the HMG with a jump pack. I love the ability to efficiently deal with priority targets like a horde of devastators, striders, gunships, Hulks when needed with a bit of patience on the trigger, and the ability to flex and put down tanks or, in a REAL pinch, factory striders, all combined with the immense mobility of the jump pack that allows me to pull off surprise flanks (especially against heavy devastators due to their shield, or tanks and hulks to expose their heat vent) and force the bots into an L-shaped fight so they either expose themselves to me or face me and expose themselves to my team. It allows me to let the AT on the team focus on heavily armored threats and fill in gaps when needed, while allowing the team as a whole to be more effective no-matter what we're fighting. The big thing holding it back from being a "do everything" machine is the lack of demolition, and the HMG, while being really good at all these things, is not the best at any of them and doesn't have the ammo to do all of it all the time.
I love your videos. They're fantastic, educational, and hilarious. And I've played a bit (over 300 hrs, lol), but you can turn off your hud? I had no idea until this video. Lol
I've been rocking the jetpack and a laser canon against bots for some time now, paired with: Explosive Crossbow & stim pistol (for quick ally pick-me-up's) HMG emplacement, 500Kg/OPS, Jetpack, Lasen Canon. Wielding the Laser Pointer of Freedom became natural to me when the jet brigade came about, now I'm so used to the timings and knowing when it's worth overheating and reloading, that I don't usually pick anything else against bots. The 500 paired with a grenade can deal with an entire patrol with nearly 0 risk to the user, and the EMP nades themselves can save you precious seconds to jetpack to safety, or even herd Hulks to dispose of multiple at once. The range on your support is 200m and will melt anything with a vent or sensory array (eye), gunship jets and is virtually always ready, just pack a good primary to compensate for the lack of group damage (LC won'tlast you an entire fight if you're surrounded, that's where the EMP + jetpack combo comes in clutch). Definitely gonna try the smokes! probably not the heavy armor, 1HKs are okay and deserved in my books, just gimme speed lol
Fav loadout used a long time ago against the bots was a one handed main, grenade pistol, the grenade is up to you stun does well with this setup take what you like. Strats - Bal. Shield, The sniper rifle & or the quasar cannon, The Mech (heard there is a new one out now,) And Orbital Strike & or strafing run. It was a loads of fun, the shield could protect you and provide enough distraction so your team could assault a point, also there is nothing I find as much fun as staring down the bots behind a shield, The mech you drop in to walk through enemy lines spreading Democracy with a smile. Making loadouts and just having fun was something I loved doing just seems the weapon makers for the divers are cutting corners
For me, the best build for the bots is what I call heavy assault knight. I take the ballistic shield for the back slot, using the crossbow and dagger as my two main weapons and the quasar and some thermite to take out anything too big. By primarily using the dagger laserpistol, I can conserve crossbow shots for striders and berserkers, who are just annoying to deal with otherwise. By otherwise prioritizing missile weapon targets, I can simply walk slowly through a hail of laser fire and pick off the enemies by microwaving their heads with the dagger. With heavy fortified armor I feel like an unstoppable force on the battlefield. For the remaining two strategems I take the 500 and walking barrage, the former for eliminating detector towers, the latter for clearing large camps and other problem areas.
Here's a bug loadout for ya, viper commando light armor, jetpack, stalwart (on lowest rpm) explosive crossbow, senator, thermite grenades, orbital railcannon, eagle 500k. The viper commando ergonomics passive makes the stalwart (on lowest rpm) a 250 rnd assault rifle, this is your primary weapon for light armored enemies, explosive crossbow for medium armored enemies as well as bug holes and patrols. Thermite for chargers or other heavies if necessary, orbital railcannon for the emergency situations, say you get surprised by a charger or a bile titan shows up and nobody else can take it out. And the eagle 500k for multiple uses, can be used on bile titans or impalers, can be used on bug breaches or use it to soften up heavy bug nests before finishing it off with your crossbow. The senator, well it's just there because there's no other sidearm I trust more than the big iron.
Jetpack is awesome, opens up a different playstyle. Great for tactical retreats, sabotage bases (quick access, but especially escape while hellbomb goes off), highground ambushes, closing the gap to assisting teammates in trouble... the list goes on. Can't believe how many ppl I know that never use it!!
I find running the Liberator Penetrator is a pretty decent weapon against the bots. It's not the most powerful in terms of killing potential, but being able to rapid-fire at an enemy that gets less accurate the more bullets you fire in its general direction makes me feel a lot safer on the battlefield, and it can still hurt devastators too.
I will say, in regards to the DSS and the criticisms... there is a difference between dying because of something stupid you or your actual squad mates did that you can laugh off... and dying repeatedly due to something completely outside of your control. The orbital bombardment of the DSS is the latter... it's just not fun. It's fun and funny when _I_ or a squad mate drops a 380mm bombardment in a bad location and then we all have to desperately run for cover before we get blown up... that's funny and fun. But the whole map just being bombed and there being nothing you can do and you just hope and pray that you somehow manage to achieve objectives without losing all your reinforcements within the first 5 minutes of a mission because of it? Sure, it's 'thematic' and 'lore accurate'... but it's not fun. And it's only funny like the first two or three times... not dozens upon dozens of times. Thing is... I would actually like the orbital bombardment map trait if they just toned down the amount of time it lasts and increased the down time between each barrage. But the few missions I played before I avoided any mission where it was present like the plague, the bombardment is constant, lasts for a long longgg time, and has like maybe 10 seconds of breathing room before the next one starts. It's just too much. However... constructive criticism is key, not just whining and crying. The DSS concept is great, Arrowhead just _reallyyyy_ needed to hammer out the kinks in it first before they brought it into the game. That rant out of the way, love this video like I've enjoyed all the others you've made I've seen so far. Just recently subscribed so glad to see you're still making Helldivers content and can't wait to see what you'll have once the Illuminate come out. Semper fi
It could probably use some tuning but I've started dabbling with a jet pack build for bots. Gear: Heavy armor (pref. with +grenades), Thermite grenades for hulks/fabricators, Verdict and Reprimand. Stratagems: Commando, Jetpack, 500kg bomb, and E.A.T. (Optional, depending on teammates and mission) Original idea was to be able to bounce between "backline" scouting and nuking cannon towers, gun ships etc before jetpacking into the front and drawing fire away from any teammate in need.
I like how the bot loadout is just Eravin's recommended ghostdiver loadout except heavy armor instead of light armor lol. I love how making one item change and a mentality change can make the game fun in a whole new way. Love your stuff Kai. Thanks for continuing to stay positive and have fun fighting for super earth!
We are living the life of a Helldiver and this is how Super Earths Weapons development test new weapons.. I think blowing up the Moon was an accident but they had to play it off as intentional.. Remember when they first released the Eruptor and Air Burst rocket launcher ? Ahhh sooo many sacrifices...
The main reason why I and others feel disappointed really is because we believed it was a more controlled way of getting those bonus stratagems for missions. aside from making a huge difference in the taking of planets they are also just really fun and allow for more wacky builds. Recently when the 500KG was free to use for everyone it was a great time to experiment with lesser used orbitals and eagles, same thing with the recent free airburst. (overall though i think the DSS is good simply for making defense missions more lenient for those of us who cant play 24/7)
I can appreciate that sentiment. I suppose I just EXPECTED it to be like this, since Super Earth ain't exactly known for their commitment to preserving the lives of their troops.
I have absolutely been loving the super space station. Makes every mission a cake walk. Between my favorite loadout and the dss doing work, I barely had anything to shoot at.
Love the new jump pack. Aginst bots, I can scoot in, take down a bot fab with Commando, then scoot out, all in a few seconds. Often find myself running around taking small outposts very quickly that way, while the rest of the team get main objectives or (the less objective focused) take on prolonged firefights in the middle of the map.
I feel like the Orbital 380 Barrage being super inaccurate and killing the team more the enemy is incredibly accurate to the lore that's been established in this game. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out later that "the gunners weren't given any kind of scope or targetting system and are literally eyeballing it aiming at the mission area from orbit."
Leading off with the fact that I greatly appreciate you staying positive and doing your part to keep other people positive too. That said, my problem with the DSS is that it we fought for it, we paid for it (and continue to pay for it) and then it turned around and blew us up. With enemies, that's what they're there for. When teammates screw up, you can laugh at it, or at least yell at them a bit and get back to it. When you screw up, you can learn from it. The DSS isn't any of those three things, which is why so many people have such problems with it. Then contrast it with Eagle Storm which is everything we wanted and more, only complain there is I don't have a chorus of tomboys filling my comms.
To add to this, there are multiple ways the bombardment system could be designed to not blow us up 17 times per mission. Having the missiles be guaranteed to land at least 40 meters away from us instead of just gently nudging them 2 meters to the side, having it bombard bases and large enemy groups that are loaded but really far away from us, letting us guide it ourselves with map pings or just giving us the 380 barrage stratagem for free. Another thing I haven't seen anyone mention was it being "soft-rigged" as the eagles cost rare samples, which people are obviously less likely to wanna part with, and the blockade, while only costing req slips, had a much lower "percentage donation cap" for the first few hours than the other two leading to the bombardment being basically guaranteed to come first regardless of what what we did.
the DSS barrage is a mechanic - the irony of discussing this in Kai's comments is that by staying within a certain range of your squad that you don't get hit. It really is a great effect from the DSS, its just that we haven't learned it yet. I didn't die more than 3 times in a match that whole bombardment. Even had a 1 death mission too, and that was me not noticing a teammates eagle at extract, not the DSS....
The thing is, there is no way to make the DSS both safe and spectacular without turning missions into snoozefests in which most enemies are deleted before you even engage them.
15:40 I've been getting the same glitch. One time I was trying to recover my stuff and an entire armored column was headed that way. I crawled as close as I could only for every bot in the patrol to just pop out of existence.
The bot loadout is one of my favorites, however, I suggest the Commando. Just shoot twice when you need to. Calling them down more often is worth scrapping the Quasar's charge-up/recharge time.
The community is very reactionary. Sometimes it’s warranted and other times it’s not. And I definitely felt it wasn’t after I tried to play around the DSS and the loadouts. Similar to what happened towards the end of Miridia where people changed loadouts to take on the specific task. Hell this is definitely a case with the warbonds as well. Instantly going how the changes with gas and the war bond became worthless. Meanwhile in my load out against the bugs I take the dog breath and gas grenades to make my mix set of gas and fire to exterminate the bugs. Probably the most fun I had on the bugs side with that load out.
I've been off-and-on running a build similar to what you got on the bot front. Been calling it "Force Recon" since I'm frequently the first to scout out a base, and the one to begin its decommission process. Its very satisfying. Though I've also started bringing in the tried-and-true Precision Orbital Strike of late cause its got such a short cooldown and can make most everything visit that recycling or E-710 facility in the sky. Gotta remember, Speed is the essence of war.
What a wonderful coincidence that this is more or less the loadout and playstyle I've been enjoying the last couple of weeks! On the bot front, I've been running This very similar loadout, and it's been loads of fun. Default Light armor, Scorcher, (Anything smaller than a hulk dies in two shots or less, and you can empty a battery into a gunship or the vents of tanks and Hulks for an incredibly satisfying primary weapon kill), Senator for "Oh Crap" Heavy armor piercing, and Stun Grenades (They make heavy devastators and Hulks almost trivial, even if you're bad at aiming like me). Stamina booster while buddy brings the Stim Booster, Jetpack, Quasar, Eagle Rocket Pods for quick heavy kills when your Quasar is cooling off, And a Machine Gun Sentry to cover my flanks or provide an invaluable distraction when jumping onto an objective. (Throw it on the other side of a Hulk and patrol and get those sweet vent shots and easy kills as they're all turned away from you.) With this loadout, I can one-two Punch my way through just about anything other than a factory strider, and quickly run away if things get too hot and rely on my teammates to fill the very small gaps in my capabilities.
I love your videos and that you focus on fun and teamwork, reminding everyone that it is a co-op game, plus you brought me back to the battlefield sir!
Excellent start rationally discussing the DSS and drama in general, I've landed up only really following you and Eravin because you both avoid the drama and rage bating. On topic, this loadout is what i ran all lasr night but with the DCS and Trailblazer as I was more Ghost Diving than Shock Troopering(?) But sometimes i want to jump the bots and lay down some hurt so the small tweaks here help a lot.
The best thing about helldivers compared to other games is where getting killed by "friendly" fire is funny once in other games. And it's always funny in this game
The thing I diskile the most currently about the DSS is the time it take to move. By the time the DSS jump to a new system, the situation can have massively changed from the moment you voted. Having the DSS locking a system before an onslaugth is possible, but having it intervene in a defence already started is near impossible (unless the defence as a 48 hour time). I'm pretty sure high command will fix everything soon enough, and I will distribute democracy in the meantime. I will try this shock trooper build on the terminid front, it look pretty fun.
This is literally the loadout I’ve been bringing on bots since the Jump Pack buff. I run purifier instead of crossbow and I rotate between OPS and laser
You are a beacon of hope, 07 I just loved the game loop from day 1, nothing like holding a 500 surrounded by foes, knowing your death is about to inflict countless others.
The comment about loadouts is so true, though... I was playing with a couple new buddies last night, and I showed them the charm of the SA-04 Combat Technician armor. Medium Armor with the Scout passive? Delicious.
I was running jet pack and grenade launcher long before the Creek. It was fun for about 2 minutes, until I ran out of ammo. Praise Liberty for the upgraded GL!
Honestly recommend swapping the gattling barrage for the orbital gas in that bug loadout. What it does not kill outright, it will confuse so you can jet to safety or drop that 500 Kg on the mass of disoriented enemies. It will also close bug holes in a pinch (bot fabs too!) if you happen to be out of grenades. Its fast cooldown is also a plus. Also, the Arc Blitzer has been a favorite of mine since it came out (yes, even before the buffs it got) and it goes with me to both fronts. Zap, zap, dead bug/bot.
Most randoms actually dont run antitank, I always try to fill in for what the team is missing and I always end up having to be the anti tank guy. I'd love to run jetpack and grenade launcher.
High mobility and walking barage is good. throw and run in the same direction as you walking and you basicly get 120 that follows you and blows up the bugs that fall in behind you
Let's agree, Space Marine 2 was high and hype because of Helldivers, Helldivers returned and Space Marine 2 is now faded into the background and only Warhammer fans care about it anymore, but they finished everything already so they really don't have any reason to play it.
grenade launcher needs a serious buff. It hasn't really had an update since the game launched. I would take it way more often if it packed more of a punch, or had better range, or had a larger AOE
I have good news! Pretty much all of those were buffed a while ago. It has more damage (the same as an impact grenade, but with less penetration), an extra belt of ammo, and a bigger AoE! Give it a shot, it's better than you think.
My usual favorite bug option is very similar, but with a supply pack. Saturation bombardment with the grenade launcher is a joy. If you're WISE with your ammunition though I guess you could bring the jet pack instead. I suppose.
The bot build is similar to mine. Only differences are light scout armour and instead of orbital laser I use precision strike- It is OP, able to take out command bunkers and detector towers.
I enjoy the chaos of the game, don't get me wrong. I just wish the 380 DSS worked like the Eagle Storm. The Eagle Storm is a perfect implementation. It works well but still has a chance for hilarious deaths. The 380 just feels like an inconvenience. But I definitely don't mind it quite as much since we have a shield bubble
I've been running this on bugs for a few weeks now, except with the Exploding Crossbow and Stalwart for extremely good effect. I'll have to try out the GL and Blitzer, but the feeling of chewing through hordes of bug chaff with that little buzzsaw of a gun is extremely satisfying.
I am surprised not seeing a variant of my early days build as that was when I was all in on shock tactic, although I did not bring a jetpack because I did not view its past mobility as sufficient to sacrifice more firepower Now though jetpack and 3 eagles is my standard for a shock build as that allows me to cover everything I need covered and is enough AT to let me pick smoke grenades over thermite when facing bots
I agree that the "newsdivers" set expectations way too high with leaks and speculation. However I feel like it's reasonable to expect something that is described as helpful to not kill you instantly every minute and a half. The DSS is great, but the planetary bombardment is not. With that being said, I believe you're the best that this community has to offer in terms of attitude and content! Keep it coming!
I hope it didn't come across as me defending the aim of our 380 gunners. I was tryin to point out that death is a part of this game, even when it feels cheap. I fully expect command to alter the bombardment to be more fun in the future, but I do no think this was a case of them not testing it before hand. I think they did it on purpose to sow chaos on the battlefield, but a lot of their players didn't appreciate it (which is also fair).
@@CommissarKai No need to worry about that. You made it clear that the citizens manning the presidential cannons were inept (quite humorously so I might add). Thanks for taking the time to reply. When I made this comment I was in a mood, sorry! 🤦♂️
My usual bot loadout is similar to the one you suggested, except I trade the Explosive Crossbow for the Diligence CS. With the Quasar and Strafing Run, I have no shortage of fabricator destroyers, so I use the DCS for taking out troopers at a distance, especially those in fixed machine guns. I'll try the Jetpack + Grenade Launcher next time I drop bugs!
1:38 “Every death is either a lesson in humility, or a lesson in taking a joke”
Great bit of wisdom right here

The scouts of the 222nd iron brigades approve these videos. It's good to see others helping those understand how to deal with these bots!

Love the "Reject Drama" bit at the start. Thanks for not being one of the drama queens out there.
Once again proving that you're THEE one true helldivers channel. While others farm hate, you farm freedom and democracy goddamn it

Absolutely. Get the little flamethrower sidearm, too! And the white helmet looks really similar! I love it.

As a MG enthusiast, jet pack pairs well with the MG 43 and HMG. You can reload them mid jump, which cover for their primary weaknesses.

(I prefer the salamander heavy armor)
Primary- torcher
Secondary- senator or grenade pistol
Grenade- incendiary
Strat 1: flamethrower
Strat 2: eagle napalm
Strat 3: orbital napalm
Strat 4: shield pack generator
Booster: vitality or spicy stims
This is a great meme build and is good for holding the line against smaller enemies setting up a barrier between you and your squad choking up bottlenecks, and clearing bug holes.
Ngl i loved the DSS blowing everybody up constantly. Was super funny and great time chatting with other players during missions
"Reinforcements are a resource - use 'em!" ~General Brasch, (probably.)
Sucha refreshing take on this topic.
The Whining and Winging was unbearable.
I love the other DSS stuff. But the orbital bombardment just feels not only not fair but incomplete. I just don’t play on any planets with the bombardments.
STRIKE AT ZERO-HOUR
WITH OVERWHELMING FIREPOWER
THEY'RE FUELED BY THE FEAR IN THEIR ENEMY'S EYES
Violence of action is a great tactic - hit hard, hit fast, first in, first out. loving the way you teach strategies to new players!
Lol
I've been rocking the jetpack and a laser canon against bots for some time now, paired with:
Explosive Crossbow & stim pistol (for quick ally pick-me-up's)
HMG emplacement, 500Kg/OPS, Jetpack, Lasen Canon.
I used a similar loadout before the shield started acting funny, but I used laser cannon
@@RevanReborn3950BBY I loved using the supply pack with the laser cannon, Sad to hear the shield is acting funny nowadays
@@Toothless_Cowboy supply and laser cannon is my favorite support weapon/backpack combo right now.
Do you have a video on the Liberator Concussive? If you don't, it'd be interesting to see how it compares to the Halt.
That is a good point. Lib concussive would also be a good option
(Optional, depending on teammates and mission)
Original idea was to be able to bounce between "backline" scouting and nuking cannon towers, gun ships etc before jetpacking into the front and drawing fire away from any teammate in need.
"Fleet Admiral, Jetpack Joyrider"
peak comedy
I like how the bot loadout is just Eravin's recommended ghostdiver loadout except heavy armor instead of light armor lol. I love how making one item change and a mentality change can make the game fun in a whole new way. Love your stuff Kai. Thanks for continuing to stay positive and have fun fighting for super earth!
Eravin might be rubbing off on me a bit. I basically took his loadout on bots and made it loud. You'll never catch him WILLINGLY wearing heavy armor.
My favorite loadout for bots is the following rhyme:
“Airstrike
Laser
Jump pack
Quasar”
It’s a great bot loadout. Very fun.
Always love seeing these new tactics for fun!
People forget there is more than one way to skin a bug. If it can be fun and effective then it can be put to use.
Just to augment the Jump Grenadier build, the Expanded Radar Boost prevents getting cut off or caught by surprise by an enemy patrol
I wouldn't be surprised if we find out later that "the gunners weren't given any kind of scope or targetting system and are literally eyeballing it aiming at the mission area from orbit."
there wasnt enough budget for better systems or gunners.
@@ibtzkhaan3434i literally did not die to the DSS's bombardments. shield backpack and fortified heavy armour ❤
The thing is, there is no way to make the DSS both safe and spectacular without turning missions into snoozefests in which most enemies are deleted before you even engage them.
Arc Blitzer is my favourite primary for fighting the Jet Brigade. When they jet to me, they get blitzed without me having to worry about aiming.
Default Light armor,
Scorcher, (Anything smaller than a hulk dies in two shots or less, and you can empty a battery into a gunship or the vents of tanks and Hulks for an incredibly satisfying primary weapon kill), Senator for "Oh Crap" Heavy armor piercing,
and Stun Grenades (They make heavy devastators and Hulks almost trivial, even if you're bad at aiming like me).
Stamina booster while buddy brings the Stim Booster,
Jetpack,
Quasar,
Eagle Rocket Pods for quick heavy kills when your Quasar is cooling off,
And a Machine Gun Sentry to cover my flanks or provide an invaluable distraction when jumping onto an objective. (Throw it on the other side of a Hulk and patrol and get those sweet vent shots and easy kills as they're all turned away from you.)
With this loadout, I can one-two Punch my way through just about anything other than a factory strider, and quickly run away if things get too hot and rely on my teammates to fill the very small gaps in my capabilities.
I love your videos and that you focus on fun and teamwork, reminding everyone that it is a co-op game, plus you brought me back to the battlefield sir!
You should do a whole squad build with an arc thrower guy, a guy who covers bot drops, a guy who focuses the objective, and an anti tank guy
love when i discover a combo then youtube validates it. Jet pack + Grenade launcher is so fun on bugs.
Jump pack, flamer, strafing run, airstrike,
Blitzer, nade pistol, gas nades
Extra nades light armor, become an aoe/wall setter.
Crossbow, senator, thermite, jetpack, arc thrower, eagle airstrike, gatling sentry
The only in-expendable Helldivers are John H. and **The** General
You are a beacon of hope, 07
I just loved the game loop from day 1, nothing like holding a 500 surrounded by foes, knowing your death is about to inflict countless others.
The comment about loadouts is so true, though...
I was playing with a couple new buddies last night, and I showed them the charm of the SA-04 Combat Technician armor. Medium Armor with the Scout passive? Delicious.
Everytime I watch Mr Kai video, I watch it all the way to the end, very enjoyable and high effort content ❤
I was running jet pack and grenade launcher long before the Creek. It was fun for about 2 minutes, until I ran out of ammo. Praise Liberty for the upgraded GL!
The loadout you described for the bugs was exactly the same loadout I had before for bugs
This has been one of my favorite loadouts since mid-April.
I use this build daily and love it. I swap the Laser for a Walking Barrage (bots) or Napalm (bugs) to get more uses per mission.
Found my new favorite Helldiver RUclipsr
Most randoms actually dont run antitank, I always try to fill in for what the team is missing and I always end up having to be the anti tank guy. I'd love to run jetpack and grenade launcher.
Love your content mate, please keep it going. s2
High mobility and walking barage is good. throw and run in the same direction as you walking and you basicly get 120 that follows you and blows up the bugs that fall in behind you
i played shock trooper yesterday had a lot of fun and did a lot of work really fast
Let's agree, Space Marine 2 was high and hype because of Helldivers, Helldivers returned and Space Marine 2 is now faded into the background and only Warhammer fans care about it anymore, but they finished everything already so they really don't have any reason to play it.
Finally, someone talks about my beloved grenade launcher
grenade launcher needs a serious buff.
Literally the exact loadout I always use on bots
My usual favorite bug option is very similar, but with a supply pack. Saturation bombardment with the grenade launcher is a joy. If you're WISE with your ammunition though I guess you could bring the jet pack instead. I suppose.
Wow... never had a helldivers content where the builds were fitting so well with how I'd like to play this game.
Best regards, Sir ThxALOT!!!
Your take on the DSS is refreshing to hear.
Love the positive message in this. So much ragebait out there, but I just wanna kill some bots and bugs
I am surprised not seeing a variant of my early days build as that was when I was all in on shock tactic, although I did not bring a jetpack because I did not view its past mobility as sufficient to sacrifice more firepower
Now though jetpack and 3 eagles is my standard for a shock build as that allows me to cover everything I need covered and is enough AT to let me pick smoke grenades over thermite when facing bots
I was wondering about a shock troop set up not too long ago. Good to see the thought reader prototypes are working out well for Managed Democracy.
