As a Briton, today is the first day that I realized that Louie is British!. Winning this title has got his name in to the British sporting headlines for the first time this morning. Can't wait to see him in this years British Olympic trials.
Yeah, it's the 5th main story on the BBC website right now, only behind the Challenge Cup final, the French Open final and stories about England and Scotland before the Euros.
@@unconventionalcrosy52 Louie has a good top end bro again remember Noah 9.88 his top end was 27.1 to 27.2mph one of the fastest ever for him I don't know the splits yet for Louie
Horrible technique though - looks like he was falling forwards the entire race. I'm amazed that was sub 10. Wonder what he could do if he fixed his form up.
Next for Louie, the British Olympic trials and a great showdown with Zharnel Hughes. then hopefully a place in the Team GB squad. Get him on the last leg of the relay.
Also Jeremiah Azu is another challenge for him, as he’s ran 9.97 the other week! But I would like to see Louie on last leg, at least in the first round, due to his top speed. As the past anchor Prescod is kind of inconsistent but he’s tan 9.93 in the past, and NMB hasn’t returned to his 2017 form yet (9.99). Ideally it’s be Azu, Hughes, Kilty/Amo-dadzie, then Hinchcliffe/Prescod.
A lot of folks didn't really know who LH was until these championships. Well, he transferred to Houston from Washington State University. So he never left being a Cougar, he just went from WSU to U of Houston! Louie made a lot of improvement over the last 2 years. I saw him at the Mt. SAC Relays in 2022 where he came up short, but here he put it all together.
Thank you for the coverage @NCAA Championships. I wish the main commentator would tell us more about the athletes. The winner is a Yorkshireman and a former golfer, with British and Filipino heritage.
They have made Nigeria’s Olympics team. They have a huge dilemma with the individual places though, as they have just a huge depth at the moment. Only Ashe has so far qualified for an individual place.
So you named specific countries but all the separate African countries are just the country of Africa in your eyes 😂. Sir it's not too late to delete this ignorance.
His teammate is selfish and didn't even dap him up or nothing. I'm glad his teammate didn't go to the Olympics. Jealousy and envy is almost the dame as murder in my book.

Promotion picture Really stupid to show winner crossing the finishing line Spoils enjoyment of people who do not know the result Simply show the athletes at the starting blocks
I hope he would run for the Philippines in future Olympics if he desires to give his mom's country a big gift as no Filipino athlete ever qualified for the Olympics in the last 50 years.
Was wondering why his accent sounded like he's from the UK... Turns out he is haha. Wishing him the best success in what looks to be a promising career!
Imagine you’re going into your Senior year where you plan to dominate…then out of nowhere a sophomore transfer comes to your school and beats you in the last two races of your career and he’s your TEAMMATE! Shaun Ashwanganyi must be going through it.
@@mertholomy8414It has to be mental. I think he is bothered having to share the spotlight on his own team when he was accustomed to being King at Houston.

@@jimduncan-qw6xoThere is zero way he’s Mexican, very clearly a Wasian . ( White and Asian). The Surname Hincliffe didn’t strike you as a Briton? LOl
He was born in Sheffield. His time would have beaten Carl Lewis in the 1984 Olympics and Linford Christie in the 1992 Olympics.

Wow. It was one of the most evenly balanced 100 m finals. The top seven were within 0.10 s of each other.
His starting and form can get so much better and thats scary! This is exciting!!
With choppy form and as a sophomore holy smokes! He about to be something else for years to come!
