Really love this, i have been really trying to focus on training, eating and focusing these next 6 to 9 weeks before our first practices and first indoor meets, and this is so much inspiration, i'm focusing mostly on the 100m this year. Recently i have been lifting very heavy so getting back into just speed training feels super nice and seeing this is great motivation and a great reference point to see what i should be working towards. I have no doubt that we see a 19.9-19.8 outta you this year!!
Your first few starting steps have improved significantly, good drive phase mate. Keep the arms swinging a bit more, you can squeeze a few more inches on each step.
Happy new year Joe ! Woohoo so excited to see what this training camp will be ! 😃 ☀ Btw, what are your shoes ? flat and spikes ? You're doing so great, keep going !
I’m feeling great about this season, I’m not sure exactly what I want from the 60 as I’m focusing more on the 200m, but I think around the 10.0 mark in the 100m would be what I need to be able to go sub20🙏🏼
I find its easy to get carried away indoors because you're essentially accelerating downhill and hitting a faster pace than you realise with less effort. Then you end up trying to maintain that faster pace which can backfire on these repeat reps.
Okay, because if you start from the 300m mark it's run using the same lane but from the 400m starting point you break into lane 1. But the marks can be different in your track.

What are the sets and reps usually like on your gym exercises?
It depends on the session, right now we are going for lower reps and focusing on power, sometimes dropping the reps each set until as low as 2 reps
great video once again! how many time did you take in between the 300's ?
Thank you! check out a couple of the other comments I answered it there🙏🏼
You guys need to compete with Callen Walker.

Big things coming this season. Also are your goals to run sub 6.6 in the 60m and sub 10 in the 100m?

Indoor 🔜
🔥
Curious what the rest times were for the 300s?
The aim was 8min but I had to take a bit longer before the last one after pushing the pace too much 😅

Joey how much rest between the two reps of the 300?
❤
🙌🏼
Is that some upcoming merch I spot? 👀
👁️⏳
Joe, what's Louie's height and weight?
We miss ur vids man
It’s good to be back🔥
How tall r u mate and what weight do you aim for at indoor season?
5”10 and around the weight I am now 69kg
Shouldn't those 300m reps be run in the same lane the whole way?
Outdoors you do, but indoors the stagger is set up for a break into lane 1 at the halfway point
Okay, because if you start from the 300m mark it's run using the same lane but from the 400m starting point you break into lane 1. But the marks can be different in your track.
Look like you've lost weight, how much u weigh now ?
Yep I’ve leaned out over the last couple months, around 69kg at the moment (same weight as when I ran my 200m PB)

Pretty sure they both train under Richard Kilty.
How do track and field athlete get funded in uk ? Do government fund you guys or private sponsors.
@@ayushsingh8087 Athletes can be funded through both but generally private sponsors is the primary source
@@joeferguson200damn so if an athlete is not able to get a private sponsor, then it must be very tough for him to afford training and diet .
