    • @bangalykaba1154
      @bangalykaba1154 Месяц назад +2

      If you think about it, every coach has a ‘system’. They have a way they plan out their year, with the different phases, you have the different workouts within the phases, and then also the way that coaching conducted all ties into the system. Not to mention, the type of athlete that’s commonly recruited. Sone schools may focus a lot on having already fast guys, while others may really be looking at guys who might be overlooked, but they know they can develop them. There’s more factors, but the takeaway is every team has a system, it’s a matter of how methodical and thought out the system is.

      There’s 2 factors 1. ncaa transfer portal favors college guys ( using a 4yr Sr ready to run now) over developing high schoolers who” probably” run 9.8 but might take 2 or 3 years but they won’t take the chance .
      2. The landscape of being an “American” professional runner isn’t financially attractive vs NFL and NBA or even social media streamer which have bigger upside and generational wealth opportunities.

      Men's 100 Meters Final Results
      Louie HINCHLIFFE: Houston [SO] - 9.95 (PB)
      Favour ASHE: Auburn [JR] - 9.99
      Kanyinsola AJAYI: Auburn [FR] - 10.01 (PB)
      Godson OGHENEBRUME: LSU [JR] - 10.02 (10.013)
      Saminu ABDUL-RASHEED: South Florida [SO] - 10.02 (10.019) (PB)
      Wanya MCCOY: Florida [JR] - 10.03
      Shaun MASWANGANYI: Houston [SR] - 10.05
      Zachaeus BEARD: Northwestern St. [SR] - 10.10
      Lance LANG: Arkansas [SR] - 10.15
      It looks like Carl Lewis' had mixed success as a sprint coach. After all these years Maswanganyi had less success while Hinchliffe, who was lifted from Washington State after last year actually won. Amazingly, he does not appear to have West African ancestors. I haven't heard where his dad is from but his mother is Filipina.

      How is it questionable? They have those West African fast twitch muscle fibers, are recruited to the best schools and get the best training. What raises my eyebrows is Louie Hinchliffe. Not that I think this guy from England is doing anything shady but he's the first non-African or athlete with a lot of African ancestry to be tops in the finals. Huston pirated him from Washington State. Of course, his time was equaled by one of the Nigerians.
