Hey AI bot, I have a follow up question.
What about when Kane comes back? How do they have room to commit when they are up against the cap and have resignings they need to do?

Don't want them for that price even if oilers could find away. Losing them would/will suck but keeping them may be worse. FTB!

Keeping both would likely mean since concoction of LTIR, a cap trade, and maybe a couple players getting sent down to the minors.
The easiest fix is let STL have Broberg and keep Holloway. The clear over pay on him is a lot more manageable.
Either way, Edmonton is either losing young players (which that team needs because they're aging) or well overpaying them. Cagey moves from Armstrong.

You're absolutely wrong because with surgery the oilers can't hold Kane out past Dec. The NHL has to clear the ltir as well as other doctors. You have to really research what you talk about even with kane on ltir they are still over the cap and force them to trade at least one player if they go with just leaving Kane on ltir they have to play the beginning of the season with three less players meaning they would have nobody to substitute and wouldn't be able to substitute anybody throughout the season making them very vulnerable this video is a joke people

The oilers can hold Kane out until he is better so you are wrong…you cannot force someone to play until they are better and Kane has a lot of issues!

So if the NHL clears ltir for Kane it could be a way of keeping both players?Although matching at theses prices worth it?

Edmonton does not have alot of good young players coming up threw the system.A good time to keep some youth in there system.

@@dianedyck3474 no the NHL doctors and the doctors outside the NHL have to approve that he is not able to play. There are doctors who are not part of the oilers organization that could say he is well enough to play which is what keeps the oilers in cap hell so no I'm not wrong this is why the oilers still need to make at some cap space in case that happens otherwise when he comes back oilers will play very shorthanded

@@dustheg well with hernia and hip issues, Kane getting surgery will put him out for a while, thats a fix to start the season and deal with that issue when he becomes fully healthy. even with him on LTIR, they still need to move Ceci or Kulak out if they were to keep them both. You can also obtain more LTIR cap space if injuries happen throughout the season for more than 10 games i think (could be 8). theres ways to wiggle around this situation in the future whenever kane is healthy

I would sign both and if needed trade one or both denying the Blues any opportunity to sign them. Of course the Oilers haters like Toronto and Vancouver are with glee seeing the Oilers in this situation. Watch out it may one day happen to you and then we will be the ones laughing
