- Wimbledon 2024 starts Monday so it's time to do power rankings for the women's top title contenders. World number one Iga Swiatek hasn't played a match on grass this season, while Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka suffered from physical ailments in their grass court leadup tournaments. Coco Gauff had a decent run in Berlin but has never advanced past the quarterfinals at Wimbledon.

Iga fans will not tear you alive for this one. We know full well she's far from being a favorite here. Heck, she probably knows this herself. She'll play because, of course, she will - it's a Slam. But the only thing she thinks of right now is the OG.
+ 1on this … Iga is not favourite-many of her fans re aware of her situation ( any tournaments played, other priorities, not easy draw etc.) . Im not sure Cocos fans re aware about her chances though ;). I d put Meddy & Jess higher than u did
I feel it can be for some random again, maybe Andreeva, Raducanu, Osaka or Andreescu
Oh, oh. Chris, you've made enemies here in Poland xd, I gave you a thumbs up because I like you too much and I like your analyses, always accurate (; But this power ranking.., Brave xd
i knew it was gonna ruffle a few feathers… but i did add the disclaimer at the start!! 😭
No he didn't lol its his opinion
To become an enemy of Poles, he would have to try harder.
@@ChristiansCourt Chris After the draw, I will start to convince myself about Iga's place in your power ranking xd I would give it a 5 myself, considering how difficult Iga's draw is and Coco's is easy. Of course, I will verify the court... But it's difficult for Iga to win the first round... vs Kenin (:
Good analysis. While Iga skipped the grass tournaments she has probably been training and playing mock matches several hours a day on a grass court.
I like how everyone over estimates Rybakina every grand slam it’s not her health because she was healthy both slams this year to much lower ranked players. Let’s see how she does this time. Also Iga made it clear her main focus is Olympics but I will never underestimate Iga, she won Wimbledon junior title years ago so she can win this too.
Andreeva will make a surprise on Wimbledon this year
Makes sense
As for Wimbledon 2024 women, I wouldn't count out Paolini. For every player who will meet Iga at this year's Wimbledon, it will be Dead End. A street you can't leave without defeat.
Saba and Rybakina will play final.
Sabalanka will win the tournament 🎉
Rooting for Anna Kalinskaya....
I have Coco third right now, for Americans behind Madison and Jessica . Rybakina and Sabalenka aren't healthy, Ons is a choke. My pick is either Iga or Madison to win.
I'm rooting for Ons Jabeur. Hopefully she wins a slam before she retires and has a family. But I'd be really glad for Emma Radacanu, Madison Keys, Paolini and Azarenka to win or at least have a memorable tournament :)
I would not place Vondrusova this high even though she is defending champion she hasn't been playing well recently the rest we will see how it goes
Iga fans aren't delusional about her chances of winning. we're realistic if not pessimistic lol
Hope Iga skips this tournament and goes to Paris. Saba is injured and said she wasn't even sure if she gets on court for her first match.
Coco Bean for the 🏆🥇
Swiatek Grass form - 6 points....LOL!
she hasn’t played on grass this year! 😭
@@ChristiansCourt but she has improved her serve a lot on grass it does metter
Pegula became the first top 10 player in history to be defeated by Raducanu after holding a match point at that 😅...She's gonna be ridiculed for this for the rest of her life 🫢
What if Emma goes on to win multiple majors. Are you still going to ridicule Jessica then?
@sensitivewsm Raducanu just lost her following match...how about she beat another top 10 player for the remainder of her career before dreaming about multiple majors 🤣
@@sensitivewsmLol
You forgot the /s at the end.
