Awesome video Michael. Just purchased new set of T300 irons. Spent about 2 hours trying different clubs and the T300 fit my profile and needs perfect. Michael I'm 71 years old and I couldn't be more excited as I gained 17 yds by the numbers. Love the look and especially the feel of the ball leaving the clubface. Something else always been flat ball stricker and the T300 increased my launch angle significantly.
Nice review as always Michael. I guess Titlelist will phase out the AP series. These new irons look sweet I can see myself with the T200’s. Or a new car, both will be the same price! Cheers.
The biggest gripe I've had about the AP1's is the cavity at the back which seems to collect half the golf course and is a hassle to clean out. And it looks like they've persisted with that irritation in the T300.
I have a set of 718 AP2 irons, great clubs, and would not change for the equivalent new T model as what we have here is just a slight aesthetic change with a new name.
Funny, A few years ago Cobra marketed irons with a giant lump of metal sticking out of the underside of the hosel claiming it helped golfers close the face by acting as a counterbalance. now we have to apologize for its presence and assure people it wont be on the production irons. Cobra sold a ton of those irons:)
I like the T200 irons. Not a fan of strong lofts, more of a traditionalist. If I were to get those I would want a 5 degree gap off the the 7 iron, which I would want at 31 to 33 degrees.
Coming from Callaways, deciding if Callaway, TM, Titleist, Ping or another maker will work, plenty of options. I was going to buy Callaways based on a quasi-retail fitting. I wasn’t satisfied given the difference in shaft options and high price. Decided to try hitting T200 and T300 8-irons to compare. T-300 oversized head is different compared to traditional head. I wanted to see if that would help with the even wider cavity. That design gives less chance you will strike the ball thin. So the design is functional. Loft change makes it a club stronger and getting use to it. Most amateurs will struggling with shaft options.
Woulda loved for you to hit the t300 8 iron and compare its numbers against the t100 7 iron !!!! I think spin and distance much closer but t300 much higher and more forgiving w larger sweet spot!
I got fitted today for T200's great sound feel and I like the looks of them. But who really cares what they look like ? it's about performance ! if you want to be in a fashion show go too Paris .......
I'm curious - why go for the 200s when the 300s offers (1) same spin rate, (2) same dispersion, (3) same descent angle and (4) MORE distance? Wouldn't the 300s be the better purchase?
honestly think that the 718 ap lines look better than these new T's. Love my ap3 and feel like the t200 have a thicker top line compare to ap3? maybe its just the angle from the recording
Great testing, as ever Michael. I think the T 200 is much better than AP3, especially in feel. A head to head between T200 v PXG 0211 would be very interesting.
I have a USGA handicap of 9.2. Using Titliest T2 driver with 11.5 degrees. I hit the ball 250-260 yards. Club speed about 100 mph. I am 67 years old. Which iron set would be best for my game?
Nice, thorough review. I’m curious as to how they compare with the 718s & 716s in same categories, including feel. Have played the 716 & 718; finding the 716s to be the better club.
mizuno was much better when tested. the t100 has too much loft on some irons and spin waaaay too much. but, if you need help with spin the t100 is a better option than the mp20's
Hi Michael, I note you never discuss the price of the clubs you review. Okay I accept price can vary from different suppliers, but surely making comparisons between clubs should also include the price?
I would be Interested in trying the T200, but once again I don't think I can get past the looks. I didn't like the look of the AP3, this is slightly better. Probably going to stick with mizuno.
Hi Michael, great review! Seeing that the t200 and t300 gave similar spin rates and comparable dispersion figures - wouldn't it be reasonable to just get the t300 as it gives a bit more distance? I'm a 5 handicap and I currently game Epon AF305 - but I often wonder if a FULL GI club would be beneficial for my game. I don't normally shape the ball - I only have a stock fade that I play with. My 7i carries around 160-165 yards. Would you say a full gi club (T300) be beneficial for me?
@@MichaelNewtonGolf Reading thru the comments below - I can see there's a lot of "they don't look good so I won't play them" mindset. We all want our irons to look good - but at the end of the day, doesn't performance trump everything?
Everybody has a different swing right ..... I hit the 300 and 200 . I was hitting the 200 longer straighter and felt like they had more forgiveness . They just felt better .
At least their numbering system makes sense now, AP2, AP3 & AP1 never had any logic to them. But from the rear, I can't say that they appeal and T300 looks distinctly odd that button!
I like blended sets. I think this was done on purpose. That is a negative in my mind. It will probably push me away from them. Still a AP2 fan. Same irons as they have had for years with a slightly different look.
However, some brands have had their PWs at 43-44 degrees for a while now. Just look at Cobra S2 Forged from 2009 as an example. I bet you, that 7i does not give you the same forgiveness or carry numbers. It’s probably as nice on pure strikes, if not better, than these new models. Depends on what you want to improve, I guess.
"Our new game changing technology allows you to hit your 6 iron the distance of a 4 iron. It's loft is 23*. This is a huge accomplishment and couldn't be done without this game changing technology." -All big brands, probably
I think they all have the 'game improvement look'(ie: ugly Nike Slingshot look). Hopefully they look better in person. Titleist looking like game improvement... Say it isn't so. I'll keep my Cleveland CG16Tours for yet another year, thank you.
It's about time the R@A and the us pga standardised the lofts to irons +/_ 2 degrees NO 7 iron should be lower than 32 degrees. This will or should stop the manufacturers telling us that these new improved technologies make these new irons longer when in theory they are not ,may be more forgiving bot not longer including shaft lengths.
Maybe it's better to just remove the nos of the irons and just put the lofts instead? Like, "i used my 43 on that last pitch" or "i think I'll use my 31 for this shot". haha
Those are UGLY as F....I've been a Titleist supporter my entire life and its such a shame to see my favorite brand just throw out new models for no reason other money. I always bragged about my Titleist because they didn't make new iron s like rabbits make babies .i.e. Taylor Made and Callaway. Absolute rubbish...spend the time on R&d refining the ap line and the tmb.
I wouldn't buy any of them as have a full fitted set of AP3s HOWEVER the T200 & T300 are just crazy strong lofted, such low lofts on irons don't give extra distance to recreational golfers they just make them unusable!
same clubs same feel for the last decade.. You'll just be paying for the new designed back of clubs... "new technology" has always been a marketing scheme to give you a false sense of confidence..
No doubt that these are amazing clubs but I’ve gotta say the look of them compared to what has been released recently is very poor. Don’t really look appealing at all

I’m just getting use to my P790’s and now these come into play,,,,, gee thanks guys!

@@per_growth looks I suppose
Nice detailed review of these new irons 👍
Hello there, I am a total beginner, which set would you recommend and what style of shaft, thank you
Wouldn’t be surprised if the 718 AP2 outsells T100.
honestly think that the 718 ap lines look better than these new T's. Love my ap3 and feel like the t200 have a thicker top line compare to ap3? maybe its just the angle from the recording
that exact comparison video coming this week
Michael Newton Golf Appreciate it man ;)

Just compared the numbers with your review of the 718 range. Looks like the T-range comes out short overall🧐
Bet my clubhead speed was quicker when I filmed the 718 range
Cant see your clubhead speed in the new video, but big differences in ballspeed, spin etc.
the comparison videos are dropping this week so you'll see the results with the same swing speed.
Looking forward to that👌🏻
Forget about the lump on the hosel, what's the purpose of the sundial on the T-300?
Great observation lol
Didn’t look like you had any difficulty stopping the t300 on the green to me 👍🏻
Michael, great video. How do the T100s compare to your old Wilson V6s or the new 620 CBs?
How does the T300 compare with D7 on feel, power, and forgiveness? Many thanks!
I like the look of the t100. Ive also been looking at new apex im looking for more distance control
Daniel Winterbottom I switched from AP3 to the Apex 19 combo set. Wish I hadn’t. Save your money.
I have a USGA handicap of 9.2. Using Titliest T2 driver with 11.5 degrees. I hit the ball 250-260 yards. Club speed about 100 mph. I am 67 years old. Which iron set would be best for my game?
What distance? Hit a 6 instead of 7?

718 ap2 and ap3 comparison videos coming this week
Would love to see a comparison of T100 vs Mizuno Mp20 MMC 👍

So the t200 is also for beginners?
I enjoyed your review but the T300 could use better cosmetics.
I had the AP3, nice looking clubs, these by comparison look awful. Look like The Terminator made them
Wait so you made them?
The T200 simply blows away the AP3, which felt pretty average and clicky.
Is the Bridgestone TOUR B JGR HF2 Irons on the review schedule? Thank you.
Everybody has a different swing right ..... I hit the 300 and 200 . I was hitting the 200 longer straighter and felt like they had more forgiveness . They just felt better .
T100 looks nice but I think I’ll be looking at picking up a set of 718 AP2’s
I play off about 18 , what club would be beat out of these three
At least their numbering system makes sense now, AP2, AP3 & AP1 never had any logic to them. But from the rear, I can't say that they appeal and T300 looks distinctly odd that button!
Prices? I’ll make a wager right now they have increased substantially.
I like blended sets. I think this was done on purpose. That is a negative in my mind. It will probably push me away from them. Still a AP2 fan. Same irons as they have had for years with a slightly different look.
43 degree pitching wedge is not technology bro . . . . . just saying and it's all companies pulling this S!&T.
I hear ya

To me, Titleist has trailed Callaway and TM in tech fir a few years, but now, trailing in cosmetics and design.
i have to agree. these t-series clubs looks awful
Adjustable hosel or is that just the demos
Answered later lol
I think they all have the 'game improvement look'(ie: ugly Nike Slingshot look). Hopefully they look better in person. Titleist looking like game improvement... Say it isn't so.
I'll keep my Cleveland CG16Tours for yet another year, thank you.
Prefer The look of ap range, but IF preformens is better it still looks fine
works of art...play, or put in the guggenheim?
Never thought I would say Titleist and ugly together. What are they thinking? Ap iron still the best
T200's are nice.
It's about time the R@A and the us pga standardised the lofts to irons +/_ 2 degrees NO 7 iron should be lower than 32 degrees. Bloody hell more irons !!!??? Just too many too choose ... They look very very different for Titleist ...
Never clicked so fast! 1st!!
Yeah ill stick to Wilson

eric crittenden the 2 year cycle is still alive and well. I got my 718 AP2’s two years ago? What’s changed?
T100's yes! The other two look awful.
Is it my imagination, or do those irons have adjustable hosels???
Ah. He explains it at around 11:45.
They are fitting irons which are adjustable to allow different shafts to be be fitted during a custom fitting session.
T100-714ap2
These all blow the AP line away
I wouldn't buy any of them as have a full fitted set of AP3s HOWEVER the T200 & T300 are just crazy strong lofted, such low lofts on irons don't give extra distance to recreational golfers they just make them unusable!
Peter Meaney I even got my AP3’s weakened at order point as I felt the PW and 9 were too strong in my AP3’s Pw by 2 deg and 9 iron by 1.
LOL. Have you seen the lofts of AP3’s !?! They are crazy strong too.
same clubs same feel for the last decade.. You'll just be paying for the new designed back of clubs... "new technology" has always been a marketing scheme to give you a false sense of confidence..
and?
Sometimes you just want a new bag of clubs.
Really not a fan of these. AP2 718’s looks cannot be beat.
No doubt that these are amazing clubs but I’ve gotta say the look of them compared to what has been released recently is very poor. Don’t really look appealing at all
i just got fitted for the T300, and yes i might be a little young. im 12. handicap:4
Ap2 vs t100 ??
Coming this week
Why are you hitting a TM ball while playing Titleist irons?
Because he like these balls maybe sponsors lol
Always loved the classic plain lines of titleist. These are positively ugly, getting worse as they progress up the range.
Sounds like he sharted himself at 4:41.
Lmao I love how these companies are trying to sell us "technology".
YOU JUST MADE THE FUCKING PITCHING WEDGE AN 8 IRON THAT'S ALL YOU DID.
besides being chunky, "game improvement irons" are nothing more than a juiced loft on every club LOL
These clubs do look awful!
U do!!!
Those things are pretty ugly... yikes.
looks awful... totally terrible,, except mb
Awful... ugly club. I love APs, CB, MB but this new look is garbage, won't be in my bag. Sorry Titleist
Hideous is the word
