  • Is your shower head leaking water and you have recessed thermostatic 1/4 turn valves? Well I'll show you how to get at the replaceable parts and how to refurbish and/or replace them.

Thank you for this video. I had a couple of plumbers looking at the leak, one saying it was too complex and the other saying the whole system had to be replaced and had to knock down the wall to do so. A friend helped me change the parts as per your video and it saved me lots of money and unnecessary building work

Exactly what I needed to know! Many thanks!! :-)
The retaining screws for the valve knobs I changed used flat head slots rather than 2.5mm allen key. Better if you haven't got a 2.5 allen key to hand but I've got over half a dozen 2.5mm.

Thank you very much for the video, my top valve got so loose i couldn't turn of my shower anymore (thought i'd hav to call a plummer to come fix it). Your video showed me how to open it up so as to just tighten the loose screw inside.
    Thanks a lot dude

Thankyou for the video. Any chance of you measuring the width of washer/gasket that you replaced, i noticed there was a red and blue, if you still have the spares still. just so we know what size to look for. the majority sold are 1/2 inch but the description mentions that they are for taps. Not sure if they will replace the shower washer. Thanks for your time and effort.

Cheers, I'd have never have got to the valve without this video. My Allen key was 15/64 😂. One problem, the sealing face that the valve seal sits on is showing signs of pitting, any idea on how to smooth it out a bit with the restricted access. Thanks for the video .

Thank you for the video. I also have a problem with the diverter leaking on the top of a three valve system. My issue is that the sleeve is a lot longer and goes into the wall. the plumber has unscrewed it so it will come out about a 1/2 inch but no more. Do you know how to remove it? It's a Hudson Reed Art shower the we purchased in 2016. Thank you for your help.

Hi Tom, I have had a drip on my rain water overhead shower for some time and recently I fitted a new handheld shower head and hose but now both heads drip. Until I saw your video, I thought it was the shower heads that were at fault. Can you please tell me what the middle valve is for-could this be the cause of both drips? Your video is excellent thank you, still learning at 74 years of age. Marlene

Any tips for not being able to unscrew the early part with the pin wrench? We have tried but the whole piece (including the narrow rod that protrudes furthest and turns the dial) turns a small amount but does not unscrew.
    Any help gratefully received
