Batchoy is a pretty underrated savory soup dish from a not-so small city in the Philippines. I don't see much foreigners (even local people outside the iloilo province) eat or try it. Best soup i ever had.
i'm from iloilo and you're completely right about it being underrated compared to other filipino delicacies. it's definitely one of the best dishes we have here!
We're from Mindanao my family always buy batchoy i don't know where my grandma first taste it years ago but when my tita goes grocery shopping she alway write batchoy cup noodles on top of the list its kinda funny to the point we also got addicted to it too
@@applemansanas3246 depends on the recipe and the way of cooking. The original recipe and most of the carinderya that sells batchoy in iloilo (especially of course in La Paz) serves amazing batchoy. Never missed on the flavor.
ahh pancit canton.. would always eat it when i was younger when my mother didn't have any motivation to cook dinner.. just something quick and easy and voila! pairs very well with eggs ofcourse
canton with eggs is something i havent tried for ever in my life (sure i did it with indomie but its bc it says it pairs well with it sooo) but i will def try it if my fam is not being judgemental with me
For some reason the sweet and spicy pancit canton goes super well with a sunny side egg, the yolk tones down the spiciness and it's so good. (I aswell put some cheese heheh I'm hungry now :') )
Ayy all those are my faves, I see you are a person of taste 😌 Only thing is I would have liked to see your reaction to the Sweet and Spicy Pancit Canton 😆
Philippine noodle dishes are very underrated. Those are one of the best native noodle dishes in the world. Aside from the flavors in the video, I love pancit canton extra hot chili, beef pares noodles, bulalo noodles, pancit palabok and pancit bihon
Try all the Lucky Me Pancit Canton flavors. I personally recommend the Sweet and Spicy flavor since most of my foreigner friends prefer it more than anything calamansi.
You have dancingbacons pouring the sauce and seasoning mix onto the plate, meanwhile how I do it, I literally just pour everything in a boiling water, mix, and then eat it. I used the seasoned water as soup base. Yes I have zero culture, I apologize in advance if my way of cooking the dry noodles offended anyone 😅
You must try the real “batchoy” here in the Philippines! so nice to see that you have tried those instant foods. Hope to see your partner’s reaction to those food because my daughter loves to see her reaction! 😊
Dancingbacons is the best and im glad you try the filipino food and im so happy that you try the filipino foods and i love carbonara too and pancit canton is the best 😃 much love from Philippines 🇵🇭❤
wow! another wholesome content - love nissin pasta express, i miss eating them (i love both flavors though) and also lucky me pansit canton, my childhood fave 🤧 thank you for making your 🇵🇭 fans smile today. 😍
Yayyy another video love your videos dancingbacons and im always watch your videos andyou makes me happy with your videos and i been watching you for so long and im looking forward to your videos!❤
I lived in Cebu during the pandemic I tried all of them in that time lucky me has great other flavors too and the best cup noodle also but I haven't been to Japan to try they're cup of noodles yet just the stuff we have in USA
When i saw "Filipino" i clicked it right away hahahaha thanks for trying our instant noodles and featuring it with you channel. Looking forward for more other videos from this channel. I sunscribed here not long ago because it's so interesting channel for me.
I'm so glad you get to try out our instant noodles from the Philippines! :D ❤ 🇵🇭 Tho I gotta say, I prefer the sweet and spicy flavor for pancit canton. Especially if you fried up a sunny side egg on top 😋 (I highly recommend it please)
I wish I could get more different ones then what we have in our shops in Devon. I must try and find an Asian style shop out there. Not too keen on those glass noodles myself but that's me . Thanks
2:23 - watching this while eating the content you review. yes i am eating lucky me's batchoy instant noodles (but in a small cup). i instantly thought i would watch this again, so that would be fitting. 😉 again, thank you for this wholesome content for your 🇵🇭 subscribers of your channel! 🤩💖
This is how i made them (y'all can try this if you want) While the noodles are being cooked, I added the powder and oil into my serving bowl- BUT! I took 2 table spoons of the pasta water, then I finally mix it till a smooth creamy like texture forms. Drain most of the water and dunk the noodles into the bowl, i added a pinch of pepper or extra shredded cheese and it was amazing :3
@@iginiomassimo5499 dude it's called "instant" yeah it can offend some people but we all gotta be honest here, we are all lazy and we just need a quick comfort snack.
I cook 1 baked mac and 1 mac and cheese variant of that lucky me pasta so it kinda solves the "just add cheese" thing. I also cook 1 carbonara and filipino spaghetti of the nissin ones, it tastes better together for some reason.
Idk if its another way to do it, correct me if im wrong but you're not supposed to just ready the packets in the pancit canton by mixing it until the noodles are cooked, you have to wait until the noodles are cooked, drain the water, put the noodles on a plate and THEN pour the powder and sauces on the noodles, then mix
I'm glad you have tried these best instant noodles and tbh they're my favorites so great picks! I have a bit of an advice though, when cooking the Nissin Carbonara, try cooking the noodles for less than a minute and it's better that way 😉
Pancit canton is so famous. I suggest you to try the sweet chili flavor. Add a little butter and have it with bread its the best combo. P.S. Pancit canton has like 8 or more flavors
We've had instant noodles here in Turkey for a while now but it's still quite low key. It's sold but not really hyped. But we're catching up 😊 thank you for the video
We just happen to have an Asian market in town run by Filipino folk. Will have to see if they have those Lucky Me! varieties. The carbonara meat bits should be bacon, or fakon if they are TVP-based instead.
For Me pancit Canton is really addicted food,my favorite flavor is extra hot then I put real calamnsi on my Pancit Canton its so delicious the sour from calamansi make balance the salty ness of the seasoning

Cooking it is a bit of a fuss. And the OG version contains offal which might be off-putting for a lot of people.

Some Batchoy's flavor is bland

Yeah i agree
I’ve had better noodles, but you know I’m still digging in when my Filipino coworkers bring some. I just love noodles.
Try all the Lucky Me Pancit Canton flavors. I personally recommend the Sweet and Spicy flavor since most of my foreigner friends prefer it more than anything calamansi.

It's not dry noodles anymore tho🍜💃
it's gonna taste a bit bland if you do it like that haha
Hey it's you again
those noodles are meant to be eaten dry, if you make it into a soup itll be bland
All of those noodle meals looked really good. Thanks for sharing.
FINALLY, a good comment that has nothing to do with pride and reputation
You must try the real “batchoy” here in the Philippines! so nice to see that you have tried those instant foods. Hope to see your partner’s reaction to those food because my daughter loves to see her reaction! 😊

The instant carbonara is one of my favorites. I usually add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese and black pepper to enhance the flavor :)
I lived in Cebu during the pandemic I tried all of them in that time lucky me has great other flavors too and the best cup noodle also but I haven't been to Japan to try they're cup of noodles yet just the stuff we have in USA
Pancit canton is the best! You should've choose the spicy one since it's the best flavor so far! I'm Filipino btw hehe

How's the carbonara taste? It looks a little crumbly, but it looks delicious! I want to eat it all❤️😍
it tastes really good
i mean, putting the seasoning and oil on the plate is not how you add them so maybe she did wrong there
THAT WAS NOT CARBONARA how can you call that mess like this, carbonara is better than that shitty imitation
This is how i made them (y'all can try this if you want)

We just happen to have an Asian market in town run by Filipino folk. Will have to see if they have those Lucky Me! varieties. The carbonara meat bits should be bacon, or fakon if they are TVP-based instead.
I eat that brand of baked mac as well. I just shred some eden cheese on it and put a bit of butter while it's hot when I make it though.
