i mean most of our (I'm Indonesian) traditional foods are wrapped with either: 1. leaves (usually banana leaf, but it can also be other large leaves like lotus or dried leaves like Palm leaves.... depending on where you are and the type of the snack) 2. corn husk (typically for Dodol) 3. non stick paper (this way or packaging also applies for our main courses) the other is presented in carton boxes inlaid with baking paper (i.e Martabak Manis) or again, banana leaves. the major downside of this way of packaging is that it cannot be kept for too long. Dodol is an exception since it is sorta shelf stable for about a week max. but others will spoil in a matter of 24 hours, sometimes less. you will see these types of packaging in local market, but you won't see much of this in airports except for immediate consumption or domestic flights.
That giant silverqueen chocolate is worth either a quarter or half an average salaryman's monthly income lmao. Can't complain tho, looks like it could feed your family for months or your entire extended family for weeks.
That giant Sliver Queen bar would give you enough chocolate to use in baking for at the very least six months to a year. I'm talking cakes , brownies, chocolate dipped fruits maybe chocolate covered yogurt clusters.

The giant Silverqueen tasted better than the normal-sized bar because the chocolate bloomed in the normal bar. In other words, the cocoa butter melted and the recrystalized giving the chocolate that white blotchy, dull look. There’s nothing technically wrong with it but it lost some of its quality.

In countries with a lower cost of living, they can manufacture and sell things for less because wages are lower and the cost of products to make the gods are lower. The prices on this video are about 1/2 to 1/4 what they would sell for in the US. The average American would not be able to afford the biggest bar.

Giant candy bars are somewhat common to see in US stores around the major candy holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s Day, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that big. 3 pound (1.36kg) Hershey bars aren’t too hard to find, and 5 pound (2.26kg) ones do exist as well at around the same cost as this one. I have no idea how I would ever actually eat that much chocolate though. Trader Joe’s also regularly sells 500g “Pound Plus” bars that are pretty good and around $6 each.

hey some tips for storing that chocolate is if you have the space, the freezer or the fridge :) you can chip away at blocks using a butter knife just be careful of where you do it since the force might break weak tables. and it it develops chocolate bloom it's edible it might be a different texture and kind of ugly though. but bloom is totally safe to eat. you can also melt this chocolate down and put it into different molds and stuff if you want to try fun shapes :)

The 3kg choco looks good the smaller version is too bright. It means that the chocolate got too warm somehow. Like when you store the candy close to a heat source.

Oh I just heard that name! I wanna try it too. For Indonesian like me Silverqueen are the most popular chocolate in here. When I was a kid my teacher or mom will give me the mini size silverqueen if I get a good score in school exam. It's an old chocolate brand.
What make Silverqueen so expensive is because it contain cashew nuts inside it. And cashew nuts itself is already expensive here in Indonesia. Thank you and good luck to you!🙏🏻

Monggo is one of the best local produce chocolate in Indonesia, and yes you are correct! The volcanic salt is indeed the best! They also have the one with 100% dark choco, no sugar or whatsoever

you can reheat the bloomed choco and mold it again so its lose the bloom

The 3kg choco looks good the smaller version is too bright. It means that the chocolate got too warm somehow. Like when you store the candy close to a heat source.
I've actually tried that silverqueen choco before tasted like milk tea

Oh I just heard that name! I wanna try it too. For Indonesian like me Silverqueen are the most popular chocolate in here. When I was a kid my teacher or mom will give me the mini size silverqueen if I get a good score in school exam. It's an old chocolate brand.
Once i put beng beng and silverqueen in the freezer and waited till it was frozen and when I ate it, it was much more delicious than the warm one😋

They do! If you live in a country with target, around Christmas they'll have extra large ones. They aren't just minis shoved into a big box either. Or Walmart's website sells them all year round.

Monggo is one of the best local produce chocolate in Indonesia, and yes you are correct! The volcanic salt is indeed the best!

Beng beng is my epitome of growing up, from childhood to adolescence, from local warung to Indomaret, always there and never got bored of it. Still kinda sucks they stopped making the hazelnut ones tho
