A few things I'd fix in this video:
    1. Please eat the rice with spoon, it's so much easier
    2. Gado-gado literally means "to mix", so you should serve it mixed with the sauce or tell them to mix it up themselves for the true gado-gado experience
    3. (Edited, thanks for everyone fixing this!) Nasi lemak is primarily Malaysian, but there are places in Sumatra that eats Nasi lemak as well. The video, though, shows a traditional way of serving "Nasi Uduk" or rice dish with variety of sides on it, so maybe it's not the same dish in the video.

Australian guy living in Jakarta here.
First thing - Indonesians do NOT use chopsticks. They use them in a Chinese restaurant (just like we might) but otherwise it is always fork and spoon. (Fork in left hand, spoon in right). At home, they might eat with their right hand (and if you go to a nasi padang restaurant, you are expected to eat with your hands).
Secondly - Nasi Lemak is NOT an Indonesian dish, it is from Malaysia.
Thirdly - the standard soy sauce here is "kecap manis", which is a really thick and sweet soy sauce, with a thickness comparable to Heinz ketchup. The thinner soy sauce that westerners are more familiar with is really not common here at all.

Locals from Medan in North Sumatra, to Riau, Riau Islands and other parts of Sumatra, have enjoyed Nasi Lemak and its other variants through local adaptations. As an Indonesian who currently living in Australia.. All I know is that most of popular Indonesian foods are influenced by Indian, Chinese, and Middle East cuisines but then when I decided to go eating those countries authentic foods in Australia, I thought they probably would just taste the same but then I was so surprised that the flavour was very different from Indonesian cuisines and It’s not really suited with my tongue. Indian and middle east food is too much of spices (especially the use of coriander) while Chinese food just has different aroma and sometimes too sweet compared to Chinese food in Indonesia

    - Most of Indonesian foods are eaten using hands or spoons. If you eat noodle, that'd be okay to eat with chopsticks.
    - When you're eating Gado-gado (mixed vegetables), you're supposed to pour the peanut sauce to all vegetables and then mixed all together
    - Regarding nasi lemak, if you're visiting northern part of Sumatra Island, possibly you could find one. But most of Indonesians are eating nasi uduk which is different at all in terms of vegetable and meat

Btw this is Nasi Uduk not Nasi lemak, in Jakarta no one sells nasi lemak on the roadside/Street and in the video it can be seen that he is in Jakarta

Yeah, actually nasi lemak is same with nasi uduk. Just nasi uduk not international name 😅

Cuman mau ngasih tau Faktanya Nasi lemak berasal dari Uduk diubah menjadi nasi lemak oleh Malanggsiia supaya enggak ketahuan. Ingatlah makanan Malanggsiia banyak dipengaruhi budaya Asing seperti China Tiongkok India Bangladesh Nepal termasuk Indonesia.

Chopstick? We Indonesian eat with spoon or barely with our hand. Gado gado is delicious if all the ingredient totaly mix with the peanut butter.
