I know many smokers who do this but even non-smokers who think that "it's stuffy with the windows closed". And then complain about their allergies and asthma. Most people lack the ability to think rationally.
So true. I guess they also drive with the window open because the car is steaming up. Not realising it is steaming up because the filter is full of moist matter. However, very easy fix.
