Great Interview! Last year i attended the HHC and left there feeling a bit empty. Many of the folks that attend this comp have a level of custom mods to their revolvers or pistols. I feel like i shot pretty well in the comp for my first time. For my practice and load workup, i spent some time at my local range... however, was out on the 100yard range with my Smith and Chiappa. Other folks on that range were pretty interested to see this guy with a handgun on their 'rifle' range. I'm setting a standard out there that 100yards is very very achievable with a handgun now.
Anyway, after i left the HHC, i started to search for an 'upgrade'. I was steering toward a Korth but ran across an article about the Spohr. I do not have nearly the experience or expertise of Chris Rhodes when it comes to knowing what to look for. All i knew is this new Spohr was milled and the limited info and searches led me to take a risk. I also got the 286 Comp in .357. I waited a few weeks and when it was delivered... I WAS HOOKED! Very very high tolerances and quality build on this beast. I took a risk buying 'sight unseen', but clearly made a great choice!
I'm anxious to hit the HHC next week and see if i improve from last year. Lots of very good shooters out there but the event itself is welcoming! I encourage both the Spohr and HHC!

@@tomreiter9842120 per division (ie 120 for iron, 120 for optic, but only 60 for rim and single.

Best revolvers in the business...my 4.0 has been flawless just the same. Thank you Mr. Spohr, for bringing these to the US.

Do you see any difference in accuracy between the L model and competition models? Also what optic mount are you using? Anything that’ll fit a 686 frame?

Sorry I missed this. Yes all S&W optics mounts will work.
Zero accuracy difference between the models.
