I got the shavent and I love it. Since I live in germany it is the lokaly produced option for me. And you can repair/replace every part at home so there is as litten waste as possible. The shave is great and for me it is rallye easy and safe to change the blades. There is a video on RUclips that shows you how. It takes less than a minute. But I'm sure the leafe-shave is exzellent as well!

Thanks for stopping by. I think I need some practice with the Shavent. I used it this morning and got an excellent result. I applied as litttle pressure as I possibly could - maybe that is the trick.

Morning Johan. Wow, that Shavent did a real job on your dome, ouch🤕🤕🤕 After looking at the pro's & con's of these two razors, I think I will be sticking with the Leaf. Reasons, easier to load and use, easier to clean, life time warranty, no fiddly parts etc Like you, I love my Leaf for head shaves. After watching your comparison video, I think I will give the Shavent a miss👍

If you have a Leaf you don't need a Shavent. Although "need" is relative I guess... Thanks for watching Gary.

    Hello Johan, very good video!
I also own both razors and I absolutely agree with you!
The Leaf razor is definitely the better one!
He's much, much gentler even with all three blades!
The Shavent is extremely aggressive! Inserting the blade is easier with the Leaf, no unattractive center bar, does not clog up so quickly because the distance between the blades is larger!
In my opinion, the leaf is also more beautifully processed, better chrome plating, no ugly burrs! And as a bonus, the Leaf is available in 7 colors, also in Germany!

Head "Ouch", done that couple of times with a cheap supermarket cart that clogged, never again. Used slim Gillette DE best part of my life. Great comparison Johan, still like the Italian/German design. Purchased a Broman exactly 12 months ago, for travelling, still not tried it: for obvious reasons. Have a good day and weekend. Even if you can't recycle the spent blades, it's still less wasteful because you end up with just metal parts that are not as harmful to the environment as plastic waste.

I think these cartridge replacers are better for the environment regardless of your ability to recycle. it's just even better if you can.
basically even throwing dull razor blades into the landfill is still much better than cartridges, because razor blades are just metal, the material is not a pollutant. unlike plastic they will rust and degrade over time.

Looking good there keep it up, reminds me of my first strait razor head shave. Side note, a cartrage razor on the head is fine, but rounding off with a electric shaver. Eks Braun series 5 or up. The head shave dosent feel edgy sharp or jagged is maybe the right word. I may be doing it wrong but i treat it as a head massarge! Debatable,
