I bought several pucks of the old tallow formula back when I could. I tried the newer formula without tallow and didn't like it nearly as much. But that was back when they very first made the change. I've heard they have tweaked the new formula since I tried it so maybe it's better now. I absolutely love the tallow MWF and I'm glad I stocked up on it.
As soon as I heard that the MWF formula had changed, I ordered a couple of pucks so I would not miss out. Turns out the new stuff showed up. My comparative test results were similar to yours. I’d be hard pressed to identify one over the other in a blind test. So now, I have enough good soap. For the record, the MWF bath soap I ordered at the same time still contained the evil cow fat. 😎 Nice shave, happy summer!
It only gets 77 degrees F. in Sweden? And thats hot? We call that beautiful weather. It's 93 degrees F. here, in southern Illinois, USA, Right now. That's 34 degrees C. 🥵 It's going to get a couple of degrees hotter the next few days. How cold does it get there? Oh, I have ordered some MWF soap, but it's not here yet. It's still near Chicago. It'll be here in a couple of days. I've never tried it. I hope it doesn't melt in this heat on the way here. 77 degrees hot, please.
Hello Mr Butcher, I am interested in two things: 1. how slippery is the new version of the soap compared to the tallow version; 2. what is the smell of the new version of soap compared to tallow soap? Please carefully analyze and respond. Also, please provide a link to the Swedish soap shop you mentioned in the video. I'm not from Sweden and I'd love to get to know him. Thanks and handshake Wojtek
Oh, poor Johan! You lost your house slaves😂😂😂 I only clean the sink in my downstairs bathroom, as my youngest does the rest. Upstairs is cleaned by my eldest.
Loved the joke! And, yes, this is where I come to hear a good dad humor. Oh, I enjoy the shaving content too :) MWF isn't for me. Not because I have difficulty lathering it, mostly because I much prefer to enjoy artisan soaps from around the world; which are just stunningly good. A notable exception to this is, Tabac, which of course, everybody loves ;-)
Having enjoyed more than just a few shaves with both formulas, I still can't consistently tell them appart in a reproducible way. Stay sharp and well hydrated 😁
Nice joke Johan! I recently had a MWF sent to Japan from the UK. What on earth is the old recipe or the new it? I'm new to it, so I can't tell the difference. I'm going to try it now, so I'm looking forward to it. From Japan
A bit of a rough shave but that’s just how it goes sometimes. You know how I think about Mitchell’s. Too much effort without the reward so I put a Haslinger puck in the ceramic bowl. Blasphemy I know. Good joke. Once My wife tried to put gas in the car with the green handled pump and wondered why the nozzle didn’t fit and drove away. Well it’s diesel fuel honey. (I drive a regular gas car.). I’ll just do it. Take care!
Engineers all go to heaven .That would make a change from being so shafted on earth? ( the curse of working with your hands ) Glad youve got some warm weather, like us in the uk , its unnatural 😂 . Soap isnt as big a deal for me , its the blade that counts ,as you proved with the Weck .
Fact First: 25C = 77 F = 297 K Joke: The logic was doubtful in this one. For the AC to cool, ther engine part has to be placed physically outside Hell. and he didn't escape? We'll leave it there, ignoring the problems of god suing someone and going to court, needing a lawyer and judge. On the positive side: I tried the Hernö Old Tom Gin (The one with the white cat's face on the label; no 30048). Nice it was too, great as backgruound to a kind of a weak tasting mixer. I didn't get all the nuances that's supposedly in it, but that's just me. I'm planning on trying the very local one, distilled in Bergen, Bareksten's Old Tom (their Botanical Gin, available at Systembolaget [No 82546] is really excellent! - and the 46% abv helps dull the alum pains).
very good show

I also love tallow in my soaps!
Fortunately, they last a long time

Wool fat is a clue. From the sheep's wool
Thanks Bill. You too!
You always make great lather Johan, slick and thick!
Thanks!
thanks for the video Johan !! have a nice weekend
Thanks, you too!
Nice shave Johan, my wife predominantly fills up the car.
I only drive it maybe once or twice a week.
Have a great week.
Very best regards Gordon 👍
Thanks Gordon. Take care!

Well, we're more used to the cold. I live in the south of Sweden where it doesn't get too cold - 0 F is about as cold as it gets here.

Hi Wojtek,
To be honest, I really can't tell the difference on either 1 or 2. The scent is soap and sheet mixed.
She Swedish shop is shavingroom.se

God job training the kids

Yes everyone loves Tabac!
People whined so much about this soap until they've completely ruined it.
How do you fill up an electric car? 😂😂 Nice shave Johan.😎
Not much space for petrol

I will continue to use both to see if I notice any difference
It's 34c here today, and I just did 100 sit-ups without sweating😂😂
I don't do sit-ups no matter the temperature.
@@Shave_n_Butcher 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣like my wife. She is more into sit-downs

They have replaced beef fat with palm olive oil. The lanolin is still in it and this is one of the things that makes this soap special.
You almost hit.. about 77/78f..
Now to me that's winter 😂
But, if the humidity is high, 80f can be very taxing on ones life.
I will probably never learn Fahrenheit degrees
So the result: it's the same..... Any difference in $$? When I shave, and then exercise.....it hurts.....that salt in the sweat.
The trick is not to exercise...

My wife's car is a diesel and I guess she's worried she would put petrol in it
Hahaha... funny joke. I also found the new 2024 palm oil MWF as good as the old tallow one. Take care brother 👌😎👌
Thanks mate!

Thanks for the logic. It would appear the joke wasn't made by an engineer.
Great gin advice!
