Buy the cup wire wheels. The ones you have are supposed to be used on the edge not on an angle. Those are more for pipe welding, cleaning slag in between two joints of pipe. Also, get the coarse wire ones.

When you were torquing the lug nuts I thought, man, I've never torqued a lug nut in my life. Then you said "Ya know, this is the first time I've ever torqued any lug nut on any vehicle I've ever owned." hahaha

Wire wheels. OH YES, I definitely recommend. PFERD, they make the ABSOLUTE, best wire wheels, actually they make the very best grinder attachments period.. They also have the very best flap discs for getting into the corners of where you were something together. Or just a metal corner in general. Great work btw.

Looks awesome! I'm learning a lot.....at your expense. I would have them send a replacement tank. That part is too risky to take a chance on. Keep up the good work.

Hey, just a thought. You could always stand the fuel tank up on its end, with the dents. And put a couple gallons of water in it. Set the tank in a piece of cardboard. And watch it too see if it leaks. And if it does send it back. And if not then stand it up where the opening is at the lowest point and leave it for a couple days to dry. And then go from there. Like I said, just a thought.

Great progress (including setbacks (to be expected)). I appreciate you are sharing the entire journey, not just the good parts.

You are doing a fine job, love seeing some one thinking of the underside for a change, and doing it right. Rubber spray sounds great. Want to see more of the truck video.

Well I must say, you certainly decided to go all in on this project but that's a good thing. I don't like to have a vehicle payment, so once I get one paid for I just do what it needs maintenance wise and hold on to them for some time. Your truck will serve you well with all this work. Great job you two

We learn for our errors and never forget doing it the best way to learn and I think he had to push your park break in so far because anywhere in your video I didn’t see you adjust the brake pads after installing them you should’ve put the brake drum on and spun it and the brake shoes should be adjusted out until they are just starting to touch the drum would be the proper adjustment to start with otherwise when you put your foot on the break you have the possibility of pushing the plungers out of your brake Wheel cylinders

I am amazed at how clean that frame was before you started it. Could only wish to find a truck in that great of condition in Canada. Keep up the good work.

You really need to pull those drums back off and clean the surfaces with brake cleaner. This will remove all oils and stop them from squealing later. Way

I'm restoring my 1992 F150 Custom that my dad gave me in high school. Use the wire cup brush, they last longer and are a lot better.

Bro that’s beautiful, I’ve got the same truck but mine is a 79 , one observation, like mine you’ve had bed rails , how come you didn’t put the bed rail back on ?? That’s one thing everyone in Australia tells me is the best part of my truck , the bed rails are a beautiful factory accessory and it would look awesome back on the truck , but that’s just my opinion all the best from South Australia 🇦🇺
