- This week we are fixing a transmission leak that is very over due. Our new gas tanks came in and we are installing those as well as the newly cleaned and painted drive shaft. It's looking like a truck again!

As frustrated or exasperated as you may feel, take solace in the knowledge that a lot of men could not do a 10th of what you accomplished just in this one video! Take pride in that knowledge and in a job well done, Dylan - you did great! You and Molly BOTH did great! Thank for for your work and your content - it is appreciated!
Aww thank you so much! I think we need to take more time and say, wow we did that more often! Thank you thank thank you for watching our videos!
I loved how the music was playing, then it stopped, followed by a random sneeze "ACHOO!!" and the the music continues where it left off lol I had to rewind as I thought I was hearing things at first! Awesome fun.. 🤣
😂😂
You guys have inspired me to keep moving forward on my 93 f150 I've been slowly rebuilding it but the lack of tools times and funds have made it quite a challenge but it's my dream truck and I have made great progress on it this truck has been a learning experience for me I have done everything on it my self because I can't afford a mechanic.
Nice job on the truck Dylan & Molly :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍😎JP
Thank you!!❤️❤️
@@Woodbrew Your very welcome ' Have a great week!😎
Young man you are so talented and you aspire people. God biess
Good on you Dillon for taking such a deep dive. It will serve you well the rest of your life. I started on a brown 71 Camaro with a straight six 250. It was such a great engine to learn on. Well done
Very nice!!
I enjoy watching you work together. Good teamwork! When Dylan was under the truck, and trying to take a nap, Molly laughed so much, the camera was shaking.
Hahah thanks for watching!
Thanks for including the under the transmission chat. Perseverance is not always easy, but it can be rewarding. Good job.
❤️❤️
You guys are amazing! Hope you’re having a great and productive week!
Thanks so much! Hope you are as well!
I am super impressed and more than a little inspired to tackle some of the things I have generally farmed out to professionals. Y’all are an awesome couple and hard workers to boot who are not afraid to show all your steps along the way warts and all. Thank you tons for your great content. I wish we had more young folks like you in this country and this day and time. Keep pressing on.
😭😭😭Thank you SO MUCH!
You two are just so cool! I'm getting so excited for you guys! Can't wait for next week to see it run again!!!
The excitement is real!
Nice work y'all.
Thanks!
Great job. I'm sure it will be nice to hear it run again!
DEFINATELY!
Great job you two! The hard work is paying off!
Thank you so much! We are getting there🤗
WOW!! So amazing!! This a great series! I can't imagine the research it took to learn all of this. You both have patience through the roof. It proves with determination you can do anything. Can't wait to see it turn over! Well done!!!
Absolutely! Dylan has been researching for MONTHS. You’ll love next weeks video!
Love your can-do - don't give up work ethic! Amazing job! Molly, you rock! 👏👍💪❤😍💕😎
❤️❤️
Nice job .....its getting there !
Very much so!
One thing Dylan. If I was doing all that u are doing. I would look into getting rid of the mechanical fan on the front of the motor and change it over to a duel electric fan set up mounted to the radiator. It will slightly help in power and fuel efficiency because u are getting rid of one more thing uses engine power to move. Would be a good thing to look into. Glad to see a younger person wanting to take the time and learn more hands on stuff. Instead of just take it to a shop and pay someone else to do what u can do at home with some time and patience. Keep up the good videos.
Good
I love a good restoration, the downside of going this route is the lack of crash safety. An older truck like this is very poor in any type of accident, modern F150s are relatively good
This truck being purely metal, the other car will get the worst of it😂 Dylan has already got run into in the truck and nothing happened other than the other car driving away with a busted grill and gosh knows what else
I wouldn't replace any of the sensors yet. If that compression test you did is any indicator the engine needs a rebuild. Easier and less expensive is to find a good running junkyard engine with good compression. Do a quick swap and drive it for years.
I believe the device you used to fix the threads is a helicoil. They work great, relatively. Over all, it is better than the alternative.
Yes!
0:02 Grammar Police.................."We're starting UP, up, up, up......... exactly where we left off!"
It would be interesting, when it's all done, to know your projected time investment vs actual. Then, assign a similar $ per hour or day as a pro mechanic in your area to see what it could have cost (maybe you're already doing this). Just a suggestion. Thanks!
Interesting! It would be nearly impossible to know exactly how much time we spent because of how sporadic we work, but we could most likely figure out an average. We want to try and do a cost breakdown as well!
@@Woodbrew And the work tasks were so intertwined. Normally you would not take the bed off to pull a gas tank. But you took the bed off so you could work on many things.
The satisfaction of doing things yourself and realizing you can do it is priceless.
If I may ask, where did you get the new bumper? I'm looking to replace mine and it's the same as yours. Love the vids, you both are awesome! Truck looks amazing.
Thanks! We ordered it off of Amazon. You need to get the bumper and the mounting kit.

I want an ifix it tool kit but I'm to poor lol. Can't even get my mum's house fixed and we really need it done.
Here is a suggestion, as you said Phase II, front of truck. But let’s change that Phase to is front of the truck underneath. Then Phase III is working on the engine, incl the plugs, works, sensors, etc.
Haha we are just kind of going for it! I think we might come back to the front underneath another time. Get what we need to get done to get the truck running again for now and work on the exterior, that is going to be a task as well😅
Have you considered building a pit to drive your truck over, depending where you locate it you will have easy access to the under carriage and you can put electric sockets in so that you have lighting and beams so that you can jack the engine up to get at other things more ease
Not a pit, but if/when we build a bigger shop we will mostly likely put a lift in there!
soooooooo....... while the bed is off, has making a stakebed out of it crossed your mind yet... which one would be more convient for what you plan to use the truck for?
Talked about a flatbed, but I think we will stick to the bed we have for now and especially with this truck!
Link to the fuel pumps and assembly?
I also have a lot of costs, but no sponsor.
Ironic that the most expensive part of this job yet will come when you fill the new gas tanks with fuel.
😂😂 And that is the truth!! It’s going to hurt😅
Is there anything you can't do?
Better yet, is there anything Dylan won’t attempt?!
