- This week was a rough one. Dylan is working through an injury and we are being very careful not to make it worse. We are, however, building something to help brand our business while we continue to take on more client projects.
Now more than ever, we want to help people of any age start making and building with their hands. That could be getting to share something new with someone, help someone overcome a fear and gain fulfillment in something they built, or continuing someone's passion for building.

I hope you heal up soon
my oldest son (12 years old) has taken an interest in the projects I make. He really likes sanding (I know, he's a keeper isn't he, lol) and finishing. So I've been trying to get him an involved as I can. He's very nervous around the saws, but he's coming alone. He's comfortable with the band saw, ok with the chop saw, but he is flat out scared of the table saw. I guess I'm ok with him not wanting to touch the tool that causes the most injuries, lol. It's amazing to see your kids get involved in making things, even if it isn't the medium you use. I love that you want to help you kids learn how to make things!
Dylan hope you shoulder is doing better. I just also wanted to say that I think Molly and your self are too amazing young people and that this world needs more outstanding young people like yourself with such high standards and expectations of yourself you just don’t find young people with such great work ethics so many young people need to take lessons from you guys. As an old guy I’m just blown away by how you guys run you business and the standards you hold yourself to. I’ve learned so much from watching your videos keeping up the amazing work. Your family’s should be so proud of you too 👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻
Definitely Show more of the sawmill and how you guys setup your kiln and saw.
Your health is your number one asset as a small business owner. If you are injured you must take time to heal even if commissions are delayed. Good customers will understand. Your health is one place where it is ok for you to be selfish. Take care.
The sawmilling can be monotonous but if you have some logs that could get you some nice quartersawn lumber for future projects that's not something you see being done very often. Most sawmill videos show slabs or flat sawn boards being milled. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Your timbers for the sawmill shed and wood storage shed will be interesting to see. A transformation from the logs to a structure.
Thanks for the episode.
Ouch! Get well soon Dylan! 😬😬🤞🤞
More sawmilling would be great, I love seeing what the trees look like inside.
Love to see you guys working on your sawmill
Love your shows and I love doing woodworking
Would love to see the sawmill videos. It’s so soothing to watch the cuts. Also always fascinates me how trees turn out into some amazing slabs. Matt Cremona makes those all the time and sit there for 40 minutes watching it.
Thank yall so much for the Doggie Ornaments. It is going to be the perfect gift for my Mother and my Wife!
Thank YOU!! So happy you like them🤗
Hope you heal up soon, Dylan. Having had my share of shoulder impingement and a torn rotator cuff, I know how painful it can be.
I wouldn't mind seeing some video of your saw-milling process. I'd like to get to the point of having a mill myself, but we'll see since also having some sort of tractor is a necessity for getting the logs to it. Take care~!
Moin Dylan, grüße aus Hamburg Germany. I just stumbled on your site and am impressed with you guys, keep up the good work! However; I've got to post you this 'old people' s wisdom' thing; it will always give new projecs/ideas/ways to express yourself and make money at the same time/sense of pressure to accomplish something etc., but you've got but ONE right shoulder.... To carry a lot in your future, you'll need both in working order, prioritise please mate. All the best and I wish you all the patience you need. Get well when you get well
When she talked about passing down skills to our children, it sounded like a hint. Is this duo about to become a trio?
Not quite yet🤣😅
Please give us some more sawmill content !
Would be interested in seeing continued updates on the sawmill in addition to your regular content.
Heard!
Feel better soon. I pulled a muscle in my arm recently. Feels better now but weird stuff like brushing my teeth will set it off again.
I hope the shoulder heals up for you. Please bring on the sawmilling videos definitely enjoyable
Hope you get better soon. You may want to try acupuncture. I have a bad back with arthritis and acupuncture has been amazing. With the saw milling, maybe show the build and mix in the way you mulled the particular boards your using so it s a blend of both. Thank you for the video and hope you feel better soon
Got it! And thank you!
I hope everything gets better soon! And that dog ornament at the beginning if for my black standard poodle!!! Thank you guys so much.
I love all of your videos, also the ones with the container and the mill. So keep on going. By the way, I am from the Netherlands and I envy the space you have around the house. Be careful with the shoulder, Dylan.
I like the saw milling stuff. It would be great in incorporate it into you other builds
I just got over a shoulder impingement in my shoulder. My doctor actually told be about Bob & Brad on RUclips. I got some exercises from them (easy, too!) and before I knew it, the pain was gone. Take care of yourself! Molly - you're a champ!
Bob and Brad! They’ve helped a lot too😅
Really enjoy what you are doing and your attitude towards working and making a brand of that. Take care of your shoulder and give it time to heal, this will help you in the long run. Thank you for sharing all with us.
Love the sawmill vids!
Good video Dylan & Molly :) I pray you make a speedy recovery Dylan! Thanks for always sharing with us!💖👍😎JP
Get yourself better. I dealt with shoulder pain for over 3 years only when lifting above head. Wound up being complete tear of rotator cuff and torn bicep tendon. Had surgery last September and it’s new again. I’m 64 so what’s a few more screws in my body. lol. But in all seriousness get it checked out before it could possibly get worse
Take care of yourself, great messages in this video for all levels of creators.
I Love The Saw Mill Making Your Own Lumber Is Great
🤗🤗
Dylan, I hope your shoulder heals up quickly. I so much enjoy seeing your videos here. It is so refreshing to see our young generation working so hard and being so thankful for all they have. I know I am truly blessed to have lived a great life in this wonderful and beautiful country of ours! I wish you and your family a very Happy and blessed Thanksgiving!
Love the sawmill stuff!
Also btw You should go see a physiotherapist. 😉
Keep up the good work !
❤️
Really tough working through pain, hope you show it whose boss soon!
I hope so too! Thanks
Great video, lots of work. On the mortis/tenon joints, may be easier to router the tenons to fit into the round mortis holes. Just sharing to make things easier. Take care of yourselves, both of you.
PS. I understand it's easy talking from someone in a country where healthcare is organised differently than in the US, but trust me when I say I was your age once and I had my share of physical challenges. Patience is the hardest to learn, and yet the most important in my view. Take care you two. and keep up the channel
Even though this is 8 months old, You can schedule (Christie says MAYBE)a home pickup from USPS and save the drive.
I’m by no means giving medical advice here lol, but I’m getting over the exact same thing with my shoulder. It’d go numb in certain positions and it hurt like the dickens. I had to hold it next to my stomach like you were doing just to keep it from tingling. Even just clapping sent a shot of pain. I used a shoulder brace to help, which it does, but go see a doctor regardless.
Great video, sorry you hurt. What brand and model are you headsets that you are using in the shop. Also we would love to see more of the sawmill.
They are the isotunes Aware. Here’s a link: amzn.to/3SPUBO5 I just got them, so don’t have a full review on ‘em just yet.
@@Woodbrew Thank you.
One suggestion, Please roll up those sleeves when running machines! Thanks you!
Just curious why you don't use the CNC to make your mortises? I've had good success doing that.
yes on sawmill thanks
Thanks!
Take it as easy as you can. It's not easy, but your health has to come first.
I have been recovering from accute shoulder pain and have been going to physical therapy for it and it has been a tremendous help recovering. If you are able. I highly recommend doing that or at least check out Bob and Brad who have some good videos to help. You will need to keep from using it so much to show time for healing. I hope you get well soon, i know the misery you are experiencing
Bob and Brad are the go tos🤣
Dylan I prayed for you that God would healed your arm. And God bless you.
Having had a shoulder injury, the best way to heal is to wear a sling. It reminds you not use the arm. Also important is to get a diagnosis so you know if you need surgery or just rest.
Definitely! It’s been getting better, so that’s a huge relief. Still working on resting and taking it easy though.
If you prioritize your clearing with Solar in mind, then you will be able to build your Array to gather power in every Sunny day, Winter and Summer. Talk to your friends at Ambition!
You might want to find a good physical therapist. The right exercises can make a world of difference!
Sawmilling is pretty boring, it would be cool to incorporate it into your builds, though. A new take on 'farm to table' LOL
More sawmilling ok.
G'day Dylan, me again.🦘
I fully understand why you want to keep working but you're no use to Molly with one wing. Give that shoulder time to heal mate.
I know when you're young you think you're bullet proof but take it from an old bloke, your not.
If you don't look after it now it will follow you for the rest of your life.
I love what you kids are doing, it's wonderful.
