Man my heart literally skipped a beat when you took that hit on the hood panel! I just knew that something cracked on that one but it didn't... I would still be sick to my stomach if it were me putting that flaw on such a beautiful red carbon ( and brand new) panel the first run after installing them for sure.
Yeah it sucked for sure. I’ve taken a red sharpie and covered it. Now no one even notices it.
@@ExocagedRC little tip, next time you get a deep scar like that on the clear coat try filling it in with clear nail polish and once it dries completely you can color sand it down with 1000 to 1500 grit wet sand paper and polish it back out with a good cleaner wax or polishing compound like a body shop does full size cars. Maybe polish with Dremel if finger isn't fast and enough pressure.

Those panels look Awesome! I tried 3D printed panels and cracked the hood. So, I think Lexan and wraps might be where I do going forward. The reverse crash you did, that's what happened to me and I dropped mine off a 25' cliff.

I like the vitavon parts that I have purchased, they are impressively good in quality and performance.
I just picked up the 2.2"×3.0" wheels for the Baja Rey. However I plan to use them on a Rock Rey project.
IMO they are almost too pretty to bash. I suppose time will tell. 👍👍

Looks like a candy red? If so normally in the automotive world you would spray the panels silver then lay the candy paint over the top,the more layers of paint the deeper the candy red will become. Looks Awesome 🔥🔥🔥👌

A bit of polishing wax will keep those scratches to a minimum. The gloss does look naice.
Quick question: what’s 2 red flashes on an Axe ESC mean? Manual doesn’t say. Happens when I punch it in high gear with 10 degrees of turbo timing. Battery is a Fantom 3s.
A Google User I honestly don’t know. I’ve never noticed it.
Exocaged RC: Well thanks for replying 👍. I’ll bet it is an overcurrent warning since this Fantom battery actually pumps out some serious amperage. All 3 cells are under 1.0 milliohms and it uses 8awg wiring LOL!!
It also fits in the front battery tray of a Traxxas TRX-4/6. Fantom 5000mAh 3s with Japanese Lipo cells. Using the ‘stock’ 12t Hobbywing pinion, I can crawl slower than a sloth, yet hit 22mph in high gear on pavement!!! BECAUSE OF YOUR advice/testing/videos, I have this wonderful AXE system! Thanks!
Exocaged RC everything works perfect if I turn turbo timing down to 9 degrees. I think 10 simply makes the battery dump, which is fine for most of these Chinese batteries, but the Fantom can actually keep up hahaha.
Exocaged RC FORGOT TO MENTION that everything still stays cool. Only the motor starts to get slightly warm, so I’d say it is staying under 120F. I’ve got the Traxxas volt/temp sensor thing coming in the mail, so I’ll be able to closely monitor soon.
Hey Exocaged RC, man i have ran into a problem with my losi super rock rey, whenever i run it upon giving it throttle it diffs out and throws a lot of the power to front left wheel.it almost seems like the power should be even upon accelerating but its not. Would you recommend changing the diff oil in the front to a thicker oil or the rear. I Haven't seen any videos with anybody changing the center diff oil, what would you suggest. It runs fine other than the diffing out under hard acceleration.

Some say longer is better and some say shorter is better what is your prospective
Jason Smith sr in regards to wheelbase, it depends on your terrain. For what I’m doing here I thing shorter would be better with the 1.9’s. With 2.2’s the longer wheelbase is better.

lmao the $80 carbon panels are twice the weight of the stock ones.7:31 really? it got damaged that bad from that? wouldnt buy these if they cost half as much. they weigh twice as much as stock and are gonna look like complete shit after a few hours. these would have to cost significantly less than stock panels for me to buy them. i dont see any positives.
