Love your informative video. Even things like samples of how much things will cost. The coffee, yes, a little pricey but depending on where you're coming from in the US, it's not a big of a price difference. I'm in Southern California, 2022, and a coffee in a chain restaurant is surprisingly almost $4, free refills, creamer and sweetener included. I expect a little higher pricing when I travel but it's great to have a heads up and that you're letting others know what to expect. Great presentation/filming and editing.
it is ilegal to fly a drone on the Santorini Island, but unfortunatly a loads of people and RUclipsrs ignore this fact, there are signs too, so i don`t understand why they don`t respect the local laws :(
First of all, you are so gorgeous! Second, thank you so much for the helpful video. Were you able to walk all over Oia in your espadrilles? Or, did you just wear them for dinner? I want to look nice while on vacation and don't want to just wear sneakers or sandals all the time. Thank you so much!
Hi Connie, thank you for the comment! I wore them all day, these specific espadrilles are comfortable. They are not to too tall and they are comfy. The only thing is the streets and stairs are old and unstable at times, so just keep this in mind.
Hi Dana, Post Covid, my wife and I are planning a trip to Santorini and Mykonos. We were curious of what you do with your valuables when you going swimming at the beach?
Hi Dana Your video is so informative and I explained so well. I feel like I can go to Greece alone for first time. I am super interested in the hotel you stayed at which has the interior pool and possibly how much did you pay. Thank you.
Thanks for your video and tips.. did you book everything yourself or use a travel agency. I am planning on going on May, did you stay in Athens too ? Do you have a hotel recommendation there?
I planned everything myself with lots of research. I also did not stay in Athens, was there for just a few hours on a layover before flying to Santorini! hope that helps
@Dana, do you regret staying at Syros Suite? I guess it doesn't have an external pool, right? Only that inner. Is it worthy? I am deciding on which suite I should go for...
The Syros Suite only has an interior pool. I did not regret it because it was such a unique styled room with large terrace. However, if you want an exterior pool (which are larger) to be in the sun then I would take the exterior.
Hi Dana, I'm going to Santorini and Mykonos in July 4th week. I'm flying out of Newark. Should I fly straight to Mykonos and then take a ferry to Santorini? I will stay in Santorini for 3 days and then take a ferry back to Mykonos for 4 days. Thank you for any advice. I'm also staying at Christos Apartments in Oia.
Yes! Ideally, you would fly to Athens and then fly to either island. Option 2 fly to Athens and then ferry to Mykonos then ferry to Santorini. The flights to Athens are more frequent and typically more affordable. As far as flying from the mainland as opposed to ferries. The ferries are long and sometimes choppy and flying is much faster if you want to maximize your time in Greece.
Hi Dana, that's a great video and really informative. I visited Positano last year and I know you have done a video for that area too. How did the two compare in your opinion? And love the cats!!! Regards, Amer.
Ah thank you so much. Aren't the cats the cutest. I just love this question because both are sort of similar destinations. Both have amazing views, great food. The only reason why I liked Positano a bit more was it felt authentic still, not too crowded ( so hard to get to) and I love the lush landscape of the Italian Coast, trees and flowers. I am headed to the Ionian Islands in Greece this year and am excited to see what that is like compared to other places in Greece.
Thank you Dana, your point about being authentic is very interesting, just hope Positano stays that way! Look forward to your review of the Ionian islands. Next time you visit Positano, be sure to add Ravello to your itinerary, it will blow you away...
I heard that the shops close during the low season. And they open from May till September. Do you know if they will be opening April since it’s ward this year
In Santorini, the "high season" get extended every year due to its popularity. While some places may be closed, I am sure during that time you will be in luck!
This was a very informative vlog. Thanks for posting and sharing your experiences, insight and advise. I can't wait to surprise my wife with a trip to Santorini. Those pools looks epic...😍 PS... Cat lovers rule🤘💯🤘
That’s true most things start closing but in late October and it depends on the weather it’s crowded but not as crowded as pre-pandemic so it will be nice
U did pay way too much for a flight from Athens to Santorini. Even though summer months are considered high season that doesn't necessarily mean more expensive. I paid less than 100 euros from an island in the ionian to Santorini for 2 people with return. My hotel cost around 300 euros for 2 people for 3 nights. It just takes thorough research
Yay! Good video and some useful info. Just as a tip on making your speech more interesting - use change of intonation and pauses, put some feel into it.
I rented a ATV and drove throughout the Island and spent just some time in Fira, but I don't have too much footage of it. You can see what I did beyond Oia here: ruclips.net/video/8rHRis0uyEQ/видео.html
Hey very interesting but you speak too fast for someone who is not familiar with the island and wants to enjoy a video . It is as if you want to fit a lot of information in a short video. It is better to make several videos than speak too fast.
You did an awesome video, straight to the point, thank you for all the information.
👍👍👍👍👍
I love how informative these videos are; it's nice to see the place but sometimes just listening to someone explain these things is fantastic!
Thank you for this! I always like knowing about the places so I can plan trips easier! Glad you enjoyed
I love the cinematography and how informative you are! I definitely need to go to Greece asap!❤️✨
Thank you ! Yes Greece needs to be on the list!
you captured such great footage!! also this was SO informative- thank you for your knowledge 🙏🏽
Thank you I am so glad you found it useful!

Hi there,.love your video so informative. Did you bring a drone to your trip? We're there any problems launching the drone?
Great information! Thanks for sharing the details.
This is such a comprehensive guide! What was your favorite thing about Santorini/least favorite?
Thank you so much! I just loved the views in Santorini, they were so surreal, the least favorite part was the crowds.
Great video Dana. Going to Santorini in June & chose to stay in Oia.
Love the video, were there any problems using the drone?
Best video well covered. everything we need to really know in one video. Keep up the good work🥰😍

I love your vlog and I can’t wait to see more ! Could you please tell me which camera you’ve used to shoot the video ? 😊 thank uuuu
Thanks for all the info
What was your preparation for using your drone? Did You do any kind of registering? Or should I not worry about that? Any tips are appreciated.

Hi Dana, do you do private tours?
Thanks for your video and tips.. did you book everything yourself or use a travel agency. I am planning on going on May, did you stay in Athens too ? Do you have a hotel recommendation there?

I want to live there
how did you get drone shots they are banned on the island?
Magic
They just simply ignore the laws, i was there yesterday, everywhere there are signs that is not alowed to fly a drone, but we saw 3 people doing it.
How much is 11 euros compare to U.S. Dollars?
Aprox $13 USD
Greece doesnt use Dollars. Only Euro
Donabate2 >What does your statement have to do with my question...🤔
Santorini is located to the south of the island !!!!!!! very confusing comment, what did you mean by that ?
Thank you for the feedback! I will consider it.
Gyros is not Yros ,with G 😮
Ducati do oia is expansive as hell
I love cats two I have. 3
