Also I discovered after doing some research is there are two different types of ferries: slow and fast. So if you’re on a time crunch the fast ferry is the best.
Great video. We went to the Mediterranean on a cruise and visited Athens and 3 Islands. We want to go back, and just visit Greece, and this answers how to get between islands. This was a great video to start planning my trip to Greece.
I’m just now getting to watch this and wanting to plan a trip to Greece thank you so much for all your input I’ve been watching your videos for other trips as well and they are so super helpful❤
And i have some questions. - printing the ferry tickets. Do they just do that at the hotel it you ask? - the catamaran price you mentiones is that including dinner (the lobster pasta 😍)? Or is dinner seperate? - how long do you recommend staying in Milos?
I love this video as I saved it 3 years ago. You gave some really good information. Did you book everything yourself or through a travel agent? Im looking to book my trip for 2026 My 45th bday and my son's 21 bday.
Dana..my wife and I are planning a trip tp Athens..Santorini and Mykonos in the end of May 2022. So I have been watching a LOT of vlogs..blogs..yadda yadda. I really like the ones from Finn..but yours are really great ! No crappy music..no way too much " look at me " stuff..just great information. Well done !
@@DanaBerez not so sure. been thinking to go to Positano or Greece. but from ur videos it makes me think to choose Positano as my honeymoon destination on October! :D
Great idea to only do 2-3 islands. It bet the travel days can take a while. Would you do the same islands again? I have been all around Greece except for the islands
Thanks for all the info, what is the name of the ferries you took from island to island? I love the 3 deck ferry but I wanted to know the different ones you used please?
I am traveling to Greece in the next two weeks but unfortunately i am a pretty bummed as the weather in April is pretty cool.😢so coats and heavy clothes for us. 😣 We are going with friends and didn’t do enough research for ourselves but looking forward to island hoping.
My friends are wanting to plan a girls trip to the islands. We want a mix of party/a few chill days. Any recommendations for a more party-esque island?
Do you have info on what it would be like to visit Greece (especially the islands) in mid-late November? Is the weather okay? Are lots of things closed for the season yet?
@@DanaBerez it will be for a week and is Athens, Oia, Delos, Santorini, and Mykonos. Yay!! I’m glad you are going again! Which islands will you be visiting?
@@DanaBerez Dubrovnik, Split (Both 'Game of Thrones' filming spots) choose one or both depending on time....then choose between islands Hvar, Korcula. Take a bus from Korcula old town (which is called mimi-Dubrovik) to Vela Luka and a 15 min boat trip to the island of Proizd), Vis (Momma Mia location)....some other smaller coastal cities are Zadar, Togir and Omis.... To me, Split (Diocletian's Palace) is a must since there are ferries to several of the islands...Dubrovnik is next (walk the city walls)....I'm sure you'll do enough research to figure out which places are good fits for you!... Definitely consider chartering a small yacht (with meals) since there are so many small uninhabited islands and coves to choose from....I know you and your companion like wine, seafood, ice cream, so you'll be completely satisfied there (lots of Italian food there too - great pizza!). Prices are good especially compared to Amalfi (and you won't find crazy crowds of tourists (except for Dubrovnik) The waters are crystal clear like in Greece, but you'll see lots more greenery... (June and September are ideal, but if you really want the warmest water, go in July or August (a few extra tourists)...Make sure you arrange at least one Peka dish (a day in advance) at a good restaurant. Your airbnb host or hotel can do that. It's usually lamb but you may have other choices...
Completely forgot!.....You must visit a place called Plitvice Park....can drive from Split (3 hrs) or Zadar (2 hrs)....get there early when they open and plan to spend the whole day (there are small hotels and airbnb's within a walkable distance if you decide to spend the previous night there, so you'll be there, well rested, first thing in the morning).....you'll never forget it!...search all these places on youtube and google.
Thank you I hope you can plan soon. I stayed at Ducato hotel in Oia and Melagochori www.booking.com/hotel/gr/santorini-mansions.en.html?aid=1494169&no_rooms=1&group_adults=2

This is great, I'm booking my honeymoon ad didn't know where to start. Thanks
Did you stay at the same hotel the entire time? Or did you stay at a different hotel for each island?
Amazing! Super helpful!!!
Hey Celi thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed obviously this video was before the pandemic but other than that the tips still apply.
Which island was your favorite
looking to plan a trip in coming January. Any tips? 🙂

Mykonos is definitely more party, and Paros has some parties in the square in the town of Naussa and these islands are just a short ferry away!

Where did you get the rapid test before returning to the u.s.?

The weather starts to be not so great and the islands are mostly closed as the season ends around the end of October.
I will also be visiting in mid November

Would you recommend flying in and out of the same city, like Athens? Or paying a little more to fly into Athens and out of Santorini?
In and out of Athens

No, it was a layover
If I look at the woman, I would say she isn’t nervewrecking but calm, not stressed, nice wording but kind of empty with feelings.

Theres 1000s of islands in greece been to mykonos 20 times ..but they priced themselves outta orbit...still fun but really not worth it
MAM WHICH ISLAND YOU,VE VISITED WHICH ONE WAS AWSOME
I visited Santorini, Milos, Paros, and Mykonos! they were all awesome for different reasons!
Yeah not a bad effort but should have been 4 times longer to really get into a Greek trip
Next time try mainland Greece. Trust me, it's better.
Do you loved sailing across the islands ??
In Mykonos, two drinks and some sex?

Snacks 🤣

I know. I hope was watching the captions and I saw that too. I was wondering what exactly were they trying to say? LOL
