I am Delaware born and raised, yet I had never heard of the place before but after seeing this, video I decided to give them a shot the other night. It was well worth every mile and penny ! Fair prices, good service, and even better food. I got breaded mushrooms and a cheese steak. The owner told me he had no clue who JL was when he came to the spot, but he is now subscribed to him and his business has been suddenly exponentially higher ever since JL visited and posted. They have been open for 33 years. He told me that he hoped I enjoy the food, well here I am to confirm that I did and I WILL definitely be back when I crave a cheese steak, although I might go Italian next time. He was so excited about the increase in business. I've been going to way too many chain spots lately so it feels good to support local. Definitely check this spot out ! This is why I wanna do food reviews myself. You never know who you can help.
Mike's is right around the corner from me & I've never stopped there. I'm gonna have to try them out. D & H is right there also & I've tried them b4. Gonna try Mike's now! Thanks for the video! 👍🏼
Ok i know I'm going to sound like I'm fangirling, but another video that was so wholesome. Those subs looked good!!! And I love the background music. Such a vibe
I worked at a cheesesteak shop in cali, owner was from Philly, shouts out Don. Anyways this cheesesteak hoagie looks legit. Owner was very particular on maintaining quality and consistency. That hoagie reminds me of that. Even though it’s Delaware 😊
Mike's has the best seasoned cook surface one can find, he was smart and has historic cred. I worked down that way and enjoyed many lunches 👍🏻 Your golf buddy gets a solid 👊🏼
I thought I misheard him as well. I’d love to believe it, but there’s absolutely no way he’s truly a 3.6 handicap after only playing for 1 year. Maybe from the red tees. He must be confused on how handicaps work lol.
Yes exactly. I don't think he knows how handicaps are graded and even off 9 holes it's highly unlikely unless he's a prodigy which he's not. @@josephrandal4720
i used to live a half a block away.. Mike used to have this huge bag of fries. If im not mistaken he is from the chester area and his main issue back then is he couldn't get the rolls he really wanted. Hands down no shop in delaware could touch Mike's. This was in the 90's though so not sure if Mike is there on the day to day.
Have you been to Roman Pantry off exit 4 on 295 North or South? Carney's Point, NJ. Bruce Willis rated them the best on the planet... I'd like to see what you think.
I’m glad to see this place is still around, I lived up the street years ago. Great sandwiches. Cheesesteaks definitely, fresh turkey as well. You bought the right items for sure.
Both of these subs look delicious 😋 & I'm the same way, I gotta to have that extra mayo on a turkey sandwhich & I would have got red onions on the turkey one & white ones on the cheese steak, love my onions.
@@masteryip303 relax man I typed it without seeing the first one….even if he didn’t do it, it doesn’t hurt to give him ideas for next time he’s in Delaware does it?
I have another Delaware suggestion for you. Check out El Salvadoreno Latin American Restaurant in Newark. I drove by that place for years and tried it for the first time this past winter. I'm hooked! Everything I've tried has been delicious. Their food is so flavorful!
I just started playing golf almost 2 months ago. I went from not caring about the sport to an addict real quick. I went almost every day to the driving range with little rest, it got to the point where i strained a muscle near my ribs and now i need to take it easy. This video makes me want to go out to the driving range again lol.
You need to try Ioannoni’s Specialty Sandwiches at 624 e. Basin rd in new castle, de. Its near the Wilmington airport and the dmv. Cheesteaks are next level and so are the hoagies and roast pork. All the blue collar workers are there for lunch. Huge hoagies too.
Ahhhhh yesss. Looks absolutely delectable. Never met a cheesteak I didn't like. Not if they look like those. Turkey looks good to me. Lil Miracle Whip. 😋😋😋❤❤❤
Mayo is most def a must for settin' off a turkey (especially), 🥪 though the cheese steak did appear to be juicier! I wonder what kind of bread they used?
That cheesesteak sandwich looks so good. I also want say JL I’ve been watching your videos since before you had 100k subs. I will say I appreciate how overall your demeanor has remained the same. I also appreciate seeing your family more on the videos too. Have a great weekend😊
Hi JL, 🏖 🏖🏖 FYI -Please head back to Atlantic City - lots of new development going on the Boardwalk. White House Subs still superb opens at10AM (NO WAIT!!!) Please visit Steels Fudge when you’re there!!! Best Cocomut Fudge on the ‘boards! Keep up the great content/fly music. Thx 🌴🌴🌴
Looks delicious, that will be about a days meal for me those type of sandwiches. If I ever visit Philly again, I will make sure I take advantage of the cheesesteaks in that town.
JL I wish G&P's was still around on market street. I would have told you to go there. I'm in the Carolina area and can't wait to get back home this weekend. First State all day❤
I love watching you brother. I have for many years now. I must say that golf is an awesome sport to play. I live in California so we are able to play all year around. I'm a Calloway guy. All my clubs except my driver is Cleveland. Lol! I know... I truly enjoy your videos, and God bless you and your family!
@JL Jupiter I like the Mizuno line. I'm a little older than you at 51. I've been playing, well good dedicated playing for about 15 years. I'm still a 10 handicap. I'm impressed with your 3.6. That's AWESOME!!! Enjoy it my friend.
R u gonna explore ur thing outside the country. Ur video with Mark Weins was great. Time to do it. Also reason I love u video is cuz u support local business.
If I'm repeating I apologies but I'm really curious about your opinion on Tony luke's against John's roast pork in Philly. In NYC I recommend Jacob's pickles on 86th st. and if you want good Dominican food El Malecon in the Bronx. Recommend the mofongo and side of Avocado
All of it looks good JL! It's making me hungry and watching this video late at night but I got to go to bed! But, I can see how you are enjoying it so it must good and tasty!
1:07 I'm not a fan of Cheesesteak Hoagies, but being here in Hawaii now for 3 years not able to find a good cheesesteak, that just looks TOO DELICIOUS to turn down if it was offered to me!!!

I'm not sure what's more impressive, your amazing food videos or a 3.6 handicap after starting just last year! Well done to both!
When he said that at first I thought I misheard him
I had to go back and listen again. Need to get some tips from this man lol.

I am from Wilmington Delaware but live in New York visit Delaware went on vacation I go to casapullas sub shop
as long as it's the casapullas in elsmere the others are franchise and not the same
Both those sandwiches looked ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! 😋
Safe Journey! CHOLULA!!!
That Turkey had time to marinate in all the juice's and oils, that looks amazing.
I used to love Claymont on Philadelphia Pike but Dicostanza's in Boothwyn PA is the one for me and I live in Tennessee
You are correct.

I can't finish looking at this video. Philly native currently living in Ga. Big sigh....gotta plan a visit back home..
A least it not Phoenix az that's worse lol I'm from southwest Philly 😂😂😂
Look like Liscio rolls. I like how they’re constructed and finely chopped beef.
I don’t know Liscio, but not Amoroso role.
@@alans1870 No, it’s not Amoroso.
Mike's cheesesteak might be my favorite in DE. Love your videos, dude. I gotta get back up to Gooey Looie's soon!

Now I want a Philly cheese steak 🤤🥩
Me too.
Monster hoagie and looks fresh from a corner store with solid reputation.
Really nice bread 🥖🥖🥖👍
Extra kudos that they're roasting their own turkey. Both sandwiches looked delicious. 😋 👍
Ain't nothing better than a hoagie with real roasted turkey. Most shop give you that processed turkey. YUM.

Should have hit D and H the Jamaican spot right next to it
Should have, would have, could have... He told you in your first comment that he already had 2 large sandwiches. Calm down, buddy. Geez!
Yessss

Need to get you one of those plates that hook on the steering wheel and keep some paper plates in the back ,to put on top of it easy clean up.
Those sandwiches looks like pure fire. Only suggestion is have them cut it in 4, makes it easier to eat.
That bread 🥖 4 sure looked fresh too💯🤓
3.6 handicap and started last year? There is hope for me!!! Great cheesesteak.

JL Earftd that half of cheesesteak 💪🏾💯
