Catching up on some videos I missed over the last few weeks. Got to this one and I have to say, that brisket looked absolutely incredible. I've had Texas BBQ from Terry Black's, The Salt Lick, Longhorn's and a few others. The brisket (and beef ribs if they have them) are always the star of the show. So when I say this brisket from Horn's looked better than anything I've ever seen or had from legit Texas BBQ joints, that's saying A LOT. When she cut the brisket and squeezed it, it looked like a god damn sponge it was so juicy. And you couldn't even pick the meat up without it falling apart. I think I heard you say they smoke it for 18 or so hours, that's one of the longer smokes I've heard (usually 10-12 hours AFAIK) but wow. The ribs looked incredible (and had a serious jiggle going lol) and that sausage holy smokes. Burnt ends are kinda hit or miss for me, but these looked legit also. The sides looked good. I did not expect a place in Oakland California to have seriously legit Texas style BBQ. Like, I'm super impressed.
Completely related to the introvert conversation. Some people have a hard time understanding that, but there are people in this world that easily give too much energy and need to walk away to recharge. Great conversation, the food looked... wow... 💛
While your in California, try the best taco spots in East Oakland. El Asedero Poblano & Tacos Mi Reynita hand made tortillas any meat you want with diced onions & cilantro add guacamole add sauces squeez of lime bam bussin
The Brisket juiciness shows how well the flavor and texture works together.the Mac and cheese put together very well.there are people working there as a team to cook great barbecue,it takes love heart understanding on how to put together great barbecue,your meat and chicken,makes the perfect meal,but the sides help the flavor of your meal go a long way.
