Finally got my Sandman K in hand a few weeks ago.
I was shocked at the sound reduction. I considered it hearing safe on my 7.5" 300BLK.
I shot subs and supers, and didn't need ear pro at all.
You wouldn't want to shoot for hours without hearing protection, as with any high-intensity noise, but an hour out plinking, no problems.
It’s what I’m planning on getting for my 8” 300blk.
Great vid! If I may, when mounting or removing the can, you don't need to loosen or tighten the collar. Just ensure it's in that start/stop position like you showed (before mounting), slip it on, and turn the main body. Same for removal, just turn the main body and it'll stop where it needs to and will be ready for mounting the next time too. In other words, direct manipulation of the collar is not needed during normal install/removal.
so, you're saying adjust it to where it would be a tight fight, then slip it on and rotate? do you know if it will/would fit on a DD M4 .300 blk PDW??
@@paulm8059 Just ensure that with the suppressor off the rifle that the collar is turned counter-clocwise until it stops. It's a hard stop, not a gradual tightening. The start/stop features on that collar will make contact with the detent ring that spring is pushing against. That's its normal state and how it goes on the muzzle device, and that's how it'll come off the muzzle device. It'll be ready for the next time you mount it. All you should ever have to do is turn the body of the suppressor to tighten, and then again to loosen it from the host weapon.

On your DDM4 PDW, it may depend on the barrel length and rail lengh. Normally Dead Air products will easily mount to DD products. The PDW has a barrel that is set down inside the handguard and it will depend on the internal diameter of that. If it's greater than 1.5" then you should be good to go. If it has their linier comp on there then you'll have to remove it. Threads should be 5/8-24 which is industry standard.
this is the one I got for my 10.5" 300 blackout, now to just have my stamp come back... the waiting SUCKS!!!
How you like it?
Should have shot one round without the Suppressor to really hear the difference then soot with the can on????? My opinion!
I just recently bought the sandman k, you didn't change out the very tip of the Suppressor did you? I just want to know what I should do to mount this on my 5.56 and my 30-06 Weatherby
Sounds loud on video.
they all sound the same on his videos. Even in videos on my iphone there's a big difference in subs and supers
Backpressure
It’s a small suppressor. It’s not going to do a fantastic job.
Question 1: if I wanted to attach this to a DD .300 PDW, will I be able to mount it? (It looks like I wouldn't due to the tightening ring or ratchet portion... there would be no way to tighten with the shrouded rail system.)
Question 2: Is there a threaded option for this suppressor?
Retard with more money than brains
Very helpful review, thanks!
Have you used this can on a SCAR 16 and was there any blow back on the weapons that you shot this can on?
Pure Awesomeness
EastTexasOutLaws :)
I have a few rifles. One In particular has a 7 inch barrel. Would this perform well with a barrel that short?
Will a 16" mid-length ar15 non-adjustable gas block run this silencer well and cycle?
Yes it will
If I have a 10in handguard and a 11.5in barrel, will there be enough room for it to fit or will the rear of the suppressor be impeded by the guard?
forrestgumball both the sandman S and L fit my 11.5 with a 10 BCM KMR guard without any issues. I’d imagine it would be the same with the K.
u dont want a can this small on an 11 inch barrel bro.... people keep thinking this can is gonna be good for short barrels but its not gonna compare to a longer can... shorter barrel longer can...longer barrel shorter can. You break that rule and your rifle will be a flaming dragon thunder machine!
@@al1engreyassh0le4 Dead Air eBrake tames those flames, and you can put the 5.56 FH cap on the end of it. I have both cans and keep the K on my 11.5”. They only have 3-5 dB difference at the ear depending on 5.56 ammo.
How were the subsonic 300 blackouts at your ear?
TayTas44DD not very quiet because they never are
TayTas44DD I'm curious to that as well
he's very biased against 300 blk. good 300 blk subs are about like shooting 9mm subs. it's not 22 lr but it's a far cry from 5.56 and in my experience a good bit quieter than 45 suppressed
Can it go on an AK or does come in LH 14x1
great review, thanks!
This better than the Surefire Socom 2 Mini?
Goes deaf from supersonics and short can. Thinks rest of shots are quiet. Seems legit.
yootoober49 “goes deaf” is something you hallucinated. Stick to reality if you’re going to comment
The Wound Channel I'm just sayimg- if you keep damaging your ears by shootimg without ear pro- You Will be deaf - then all guns will be silenced.
i know right, what a piece of garbage lol, but he got it probably for free for advertising so he doesn't look the gifted horse in the mouth
I don't think its fair to call it garbage. Its a fact. The shorter the can, the less internal volume there is for the baffle stack. If your after ultra quiet then look elsewhere.
That Logo would be sick if it could be ceracoated onto the can
You could put the sticker on the can, then ceracote it, then about halfway done drying *carefully remove the sticker
Does the comp perform better than the flash hider with the can on?
I have read that the comp does help a little
Where’d you get that pistol grip?
The hexagonal one
Nice flinch at 8:11.
lol
Can doesn't seem to make any difference.
How many baffles in the K?
3
ONLY $699.99 Wow
For hunting and one or two shots, it'd at least take the edge off... can't ay I'd want to mag dump and AR without protection, though. Still, better than nothing at all.
What a loud sound it make no difference !You do need ear plug!
Are you wearing ear plugs?
akaTheDevil doesn’t seem like it
Jealous of you my friend. I have one in prison and only have the pictures that I took of it from the dealer. hopefully, early next year, I will have it in my hands and on my ar. Thanks for sharing the video.
same here. 570 from silencershop is too good to pass up
Dave Webster same here got mine from Silencer Shop. Bought it even when it wasn't in stock. I also have the Mac Brothers 762s in prison as well
Love your videos.......but watch that flinch ..lol
jerome tredinnick yeah I’m the only person with a flinch, it sucks :(
that ain't quiet bro! dammm
ears ringing = irreparable damage
Nah, I'm 64 and go to a dozen rock concerts a year, sitting close without protection. Ears ring every time and no hearing loss whatsoever.
The shim package was not good. need a better variant. it comes with 1 .09 5 .005 and 3 .003 04 .0004 shims. Im still using old school calipers. Should have some .0025, ..00350, .005 and .075
Wow still sounds loud on video but looks cool tho
7:40 my phone's ears were ringing from that shit bro, i think you may be deaf.
Practice not slapping that trigger man!
TOO LOUD for me...
Freaking loud for pete sakes
Loud af
Holy crappers I'm freaking deaf and thats way loud. Sandman K won't buy it.
