I was watching this when my wife said “who wants to film themselves cycling and who watches this crap anyway? " She then paused for a couple of seconds and added," well look at you. " Another great presentation.
Ha ha thanks Vinnie, You can tell your wife that I share her sentiments. I still can't believe that people watch half of the stuff I put out there, especially when me n' Mike are chatting utter nonsense . All the best mate and have a wonderful Christmas ...
Tell Mike he's not allowed to say 'cycling heaven' now for the next 10 rides! Another cracking route and video. It really is, ahem ... cycling heaven up there. Pen-y-ghent is just one of those fells you can't stop marvelling at when you're on those roads.
Hey up OMC. I will tell Mike, don't you worry about that, he he . I totally agree with you about Pen-y-ghent too. It looks super impressive from all angles and having walked all around these fells with the pooches for many years, it's great to ride through the valleys below and admire the Dales from another perspective. I will keep an eye out for you on the trails buddy, you never know we might cross paths one of these days.
95 miles.......Wow! Iv'e just got into Cycling on my new Cube Hybrid Electric Bike..........and I'm really proud of doing 30 miles!! .......with some assistance. Nothing but admiration for you two!
That's great to hear. I think that e-bikes definitely have a lot to offer for people who are wanting to get into cycling but are concerned about the distances. Let me know how you get on too, I have heard that some of the newer models have excellent ranges now from the battery technology.
@MrDazP1adv3ntures ahhahah yeah I've come to that realisation, he's a super fit guy tho kudos when kudos is due ...that without black pudding 🍮 hehe...stay safe guys x
@Geoff333 when Mike keeps up a regular training regime he becomes a very strong rider. He tends to stay at the back quite a lot, wheel sucking, and taking it steady, but he can turn a big gear and hold a good pace. It's nice though to go for a ride, have a laugh and then, if we want to, we can go a bit quicker.
Yes great to see you back sir it’s been a while like , now we’re approaching the shortest day this video was a nice reminder of what’s to come next year as the days will get longer/ warmer again so cheers for that , yes I’ve also done that newton descent & it’s fast and that right turn bridge comes up real fast . And thank you for making me want to get back out there 🚴🏻♂️😃
Only a few more days to go and we are over the hill - so to speak buddy. We did a ride on Sunday and went over Grindleton fell which brought us out on the fast section into Newton in Bowland. I just love it out here. All the best for 2024 and here's to lighter nights and warmer days.....
Great ride there Daz, I cant remember if I suggested The Lambing Shed for you previously so apologies if so I cant remember it being that expensive! Saw your message about your change of circumstances. You will manage to sort a work/life balance soon i'm sure. All the best to you for Christmas and for 2024.
Hi James, The Lambing shed was a great cafe and I am looking forward to editing it in the near future. It was a tad on the pricey too but nevertheless it made for a great day out in Cheshire. Can I Thank you for your continual support and comments and wishing you all the very best for 2024 buddy.
Great video as usual Daz with the bog standard ace route. Its a nice part of the world we live in with the Dales, Trough and Lakes all not too far away.
Hi CDW, I never get bored of riding in this area and we are getting the knack of creating rides off the hoof, so to speak. The camera never does it any justice but every visit to the Dales leaves a long lasting memory. Thanks for the comments and Seasons greetings....👍
It's a bit lumpy Andy for sure , which is why I try to keep getting the miles in through the week in order to enjoy these kind of rides. A tail wind always helps, which I'm sure you will appreciate but the legs and lungs need to be used it 😫🙂
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Yeah. I usually try to get regular miles in round extended commuting to work on road or on the gravel bike in winter, then do longer rides at weekends. But the weather really has been appalling for the last couple of months. Resorted to a cheap smart turbo and Zwift. Ho hum. Hopefully some decent weather soon....
Turbo trainers and Zwift definitely have a place for all year round fitness. I personally don't use either so on some of the really really bad days on my daily commute, my average speed can be 11mph or even 10. (Point) something ! That means fellow Zwift users are doing a 20 mile work out in an hour whereas I'm taking 2 hours. And I hate riding hard to go slow.....☹👍
Great video Daz, some stunning views. £8 in that cafe compared to Knutsford 😬. A very nice part of cheshire but very expensive. Will we see another video before Christmas 😁🤞
Thank you Jay, I am trying to back off on the editing time a little bit on the next one and will try to get a sneaky video out ASAP. They just seem to take for ever to put together these days. Either way, have a fab Christmas and seasons greetings from this end..
@MrDazP1adv3ntures i can only imagine how much work goes into the editing. With the actual filming, i don't think anyone's doing it as good as you. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and New Year, daz 🎅🥳🚴🏿♂️
You would be impressed with this part of England buddy. It is all limestone with gritstones higher up and occasional siltstone. The ice ages shaped and carved the hills and valleys for miles n' miles. Seasons greetings to too pal 👍
Hello and thank you for sending us a message, it's greatly appreciated. There's never a dull moment when you are out with Mike but we also take our cycling very seriously 🙂 You can't beat a day out in the Dales for sure 👍
This is pretty close to where you go pal so I'm sure you will easily find it. We have got a few more days to the winter solstice and then we can look forward to the lighter nights and spring ...
It's always a bit of a daunting prospect early on in the season when you don't quite have the fitness but once it's there, you can hit 100 miles and still have a smile on your face week in week out. It's just breaking the ride down into chunks. I must admit though, I was a bit peckish at 50 miles...
Hope you both had a lovely Christmas with plenty of black pudding for Mike, you two are more entertaining than the bloody tv. the storm ⛈️ clouds have more interest….but will it ever stop raining ☔️…. Risley has been flooded for weeks …. ‘Happy New Year’ 🎉

Very nice. That's a conniving little right-hander in an otherwise sweet hill a 10:47 - I feel very timid about it now I've seen it. One of those that looks tame, but suddenly has an extra several degrees of turn that you don't expect, and looks like a bit of adverse camber there too ? Wicked!

Nice ride, looks great route, there’s no way I could do that many miles, my knee hurts after 40 mile 🤮 you don’t even look like you’ve both broken sweat 😂
Hello Mark, we have to keep training through the week to be able to do these kind of rides and smile whilst we are doing them. Once you have got the "Bug" it's a great feeling to get out there and just ride your bike all day long
@@MrDazP1adv3nturesI’ve just bought an indoor trainer, to see if I can improve by summer, I did Otley to Burnsall on my gravel bike which you can see on my channel, never again or at least on a gravel bike, I was knackered, think it’s cause the gearing was similar to a mountain bike and took more effort, I’ve just bought a trek Domane AL3 hopefully will be lots better for the roads, but thinking of getting something better next year,
A good road bike can make a big difference when you change from an ATB or gravel bike, you can literally find "free speed'. I like to use my hybrid Frankenstein bike in winter because it's simply designed to get you from A to B. It's great to then get on a full carbon racing bike and feel the difference instantly. It is like night and day .

A lot of the guys like the latest units because they have connectivity and offer features such as power meter reading and ability to link to your phone to receive messages. I personally don't bother with any of that nonsense. But it is perfect for others.
