Yes I agree with you it’s a fantastic place to ride in the dales and prefer it over the lakes as it’s a little quieter, I did the fleet in September and oh boy it’s tough indeed & the descent back into hawes hit my pb speed at 50mph and that was with brakes while passing cars proper scary stuff . At the top that’s the highest road in Yorkshire . Another Brilliant road I would recommend is up and over lamps moss from Kirby Stephen and also the descent of b6255 past ribblehead back into ingleton is a rush , top video daz cheers pal
You should work for Yorkshire tourism Daz, some of that footage was fantastic, truly spectacular. Great to ride in winter when you get far less traffic and the views are just as good. Love the double act 😂
Thanks for your kind words, I think the HR department would sack us by the end of the week for talking nonsense though. It was a great day out on the bike this one and definitely a ride to do another time in summer maybe
Another puncture ? Piella Bakewell had 28mm Gator Skins on her bike , she road on cobbled streets hit a wall and still did`nt puncture ! Thanks for the ride Mr Daz great content as always.
Ha ha, he was probably thinking about that but I have to keep him on task otherwise things get out of hand quickly 😂 It was a great ride though and I'm so glad we got out this way. It's God's own country for sure.
Thanks for taking the time to put together such a great documentary of your ride. Fair play to Mike for keeping you to the script. Your rides are a tonic at this time of year.
Thank you so much David for your kind words and support. The videos do take some editing but it is all part of sharing these great rides now for others to hopefully enjoy and offer some inspiration .
Thank you Julia😁, We always try to capture these classic cycling rides for the keen cycling enthusiast and give people something they can take from our experiences which offers the them some inspiration.
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures it’s K Daz, Audax. I have a some rides planned before and will only start if I feel 100%. It goes from Mytholmroyd to the east coast and back!! Fingers crossed 🤞 Really enjoy your videos, keep up the great work 👍
Mike can normally sniff out a black pudding at 30 yards but the cafe wasn't doing breakfasts by the time we got there James. Mike is now the holder of two crowns, the king of Black puddings and the King of Punctures.
Daz that cafe at the start of your ride in Settle is fantastic you missed the killer hill just passed the bike shop I rode up it a few years ago on C2C great vid keep them coming
I'm liking the Rubino Pro Endurance at the moment Jimbo. I will sacrifice a bit of top end speed ( not that I can tell ) for a reliable ride out in winter and this place is absolutely stunning too.
Cheers Jay, I'm trying to make inspirational cycling videos with maps and overlays and Mike has other ideas 😆. I think the battery goes flat on the camera because of all the out takes we have ...
That little back lane from Kettlewell to Grassington is the nicer cycling route. The only time I'm avoid it is when the farmers are trimming the hedges. Puncture heaven then. I'd also take the small lane to Hawkswick, it leads to Arncliffe but in my opinion is a nicer road for cycling. Great riding. Buy Mike some tyres.
It's just a wonderful place to cycle Vinnie and I know what you mean about the farmers cutting the hedges, my issue is when they leave the roads full of cow poo, but that's country life for you.
Hi Daz brilliant video again, brought back some memories that did used to do the 50mile circuit of the dale's starting at ingleton and back over Ribble head. Thanks again take care Bill.
Great vlog and amazing scenery. Really was brilliant to watch!! Im lucky living in Lancaster as Yorkshire Dales National Park on my doorstep as is the Trough of Bowland.
nice route, try using a tube and remove the valve core and put 50ml of tubeless sealant in the tube. i do this and when i recenetly changed my tires i had 3 massive thorns which the sealant had sealed up without me knowing.
Hi legend When you did LEJOG & JOGLE what would you say if you could only have chance to do one way. What way would it be and why. Many thanks and keep this great channel going 👍🏻
That is a great question Andy and I don't think I could answer it to be honest. They were both two excellent cycling adventures where I experienced some extreme weather and saw some amazing views. The first ride (LEJOG ) will always stand out because it was going into the unknown so to speak which then sparked the JOGLE and NC 500 rides. The United Kingdom has some amazing counties and stunning scenery and it's great to take them all in on these epic journeys . Thank you once again Andy for your kind words too - MrDazP1
good stuff daz, 1st seen that fleet moss climb the kelloggs tour 1987 think rooks lead sid barras through mad crowds only they didnt have a massive butty belly full , wouldnt fancy it after that haha

@ajfiest oh wow ! That's great to hear.

How did you get on
Do you have to let your tyres scrub in a bit before you get maximum grip? Motorcycle tyres are a bit slippery for the first 1-200 kms..
Yes I know what you mean and I never trust brand new tyres. I tend to give them a good wipe with degreaser before hand but these felt pretty good from the off.
Aye up pal. When tha,s back ont shiny stuff ? Regards
