Dragon is actually completely viable in gen 7, particularly in the Ultra games. In USUM, you can get both Noibat and Bagon before the first grand trial
I have tried Dragon only in Ultra Moon and constantly whited out at either the water trial or the fire trial... it would take incredible rng imo just to get past those
In gen 6 you can catch a riolu in route 22 to the right of Santalune city-so that’s right before the first gym. If you have the patience for a 5% encounter and then walking/skating for the friendship
Best Pokémon are Crobat and Gyrados because : Can be encountered in almost every games Insane stats available super early Can switch in on lots of attacks
“Poison is a bad typing!” Crobat in nuzlockes and most poison types ranking high on their respective tiers on smogon: I miss the part where that’s my problem
@@HomeCookinMTG Yeah, in gen 1 it doesn't even have intimidate still it is Kinda OP. Massive Special to use Water STAB, one of the strongest hyper beams etc
@@unmployedvillager7341 I think Gyarados is actually the most fair and gens two and three when he can’t really take advantage of his water attacks very well, And on top of that bite and crunch are both special so he can’t even really take advantage of those very well
You could do an all ghost run in Alpha sapphire but it would be a struggle. You would need to swap your starter to a ghost (if you wanted to) solo first gym. Catch a Sableye in Granite cave lower level before gym two. For your third ghost before gym three catch a Nincada and evolve to level 20 for Shedinja. There is three ghosts before gym three. 😆
I think I would have placed Normal in V-Good instead of EZ Ws since it resists nothing (aside from Ghost immunity, but how often will you face Ghosts?) and is super effective against nothing. But other than that, I think I agree with you on most of these and I understand your reasoning for the others.
I think the thing that pushes normal over the top for me is the sheer amount of normal types you can get in most gens and the coverage those Pokemon get. ESPECIALLY normals from Gen 1. They can learn it all. Either way, I think if there was a tier in-between v-good and ez I would have put them there, so I get your point
I agree with the placing, personally. One of the goats in lots of my runs in Chansey/Blissey. The busted HP stat with high Sp Def plus amazing coverage potential with the wide TM base makes both (especially Blissey IMO) so amazing…couple that with soft boiled and you have an almost unbeatable mon if you use it right.
I will say though especially in the early stages Butterfree is a monster and can get you through some of the hard early fights in galar I'm not sure if it applies to other games shield is the only one I've played (besides shining pearl)
I agree that poison is very good. I just did a monotype nuzlocke of fire red with poison types and didn’t lose a single mon until the champion battle. Haunter/Gengar and tentacruel can basically sweep the e4 by themselves, and you can also bring Venusaur, muk, nidoking, golbat, and even beedrill for alakazam
I agree more or less with this tier list except for the Rock type placement. It is almost as impossible as an Ice type run. Not many options to choose from early on and most early gyms are going to demolish the Rock types you have. Examples: Gen 1 - Misty and Erica Gen 2 - Chuck and Jasmine (more doable than most gens) Gen 3 - Brawly (probably the most doable run if you can get past him) Gen 4 - Gardenia Gen 5 - Clayton ( past him probably doable) Gen 6 - Korrina ( not only the gym but the fight with two Lucarios before that) and Ramos Gen 7 - Only one option on first Island, Rockruff. Then there is Hala. In conclusion, the Rock type is really bad unless you modify the run.
in gen 6 it is a complete easy run with only steel types i have done it you get your first enc as riolu in route 22 and immediatly can be evolved to lucario before the first gym and then it is a easy run you get mawile steelix (if you allowin game trade there is a girl in cyllage who trades luvdisc for steelix)and honedge before the second gym and honegde line literally sweeps the whole kalos line by itself so what you said that the steel type run in gen 6 is not viable is completely wrong
Will you be going back to streaming once you have got the fatherhood thing down or do you think you’ve found your groove and know what you are doing from now on Bubba?

OOooooof. Tbf, that's an easy one to forget, but yeah you got me

I think I mentioned it probably being viable in 6 and up with some slight modifications, but if I didn’t I super agree with you

Yeah. It’s not great vs the first gym, but I’m sure you can make it work
same with black and white 2

Agree. They’re both really solid
Yeah I’m to the point where if I’m playing gen one I have banned Gyarados from my runs, Snorlax as well. They’re both just unfair lol

gonna be honest dragon city literally gives you so much stuff that those 30,000 gold aren't gonna matter much in the long run but cool game

I'm also a new father! Started my first nuzlocke the day after he was born, Sept 21st! Finished it last week.
Aww congrats! 🥰 on both fronts! Mostly the first one. But isn’t the Locke community awesome?!
I'd switch the Poison and Psychic but otherwise, great list
I want to see a fan made game with the gym leader order based on this. Let's throw players for a loop with dragons at the second gym.
I will say though especially in the early stages Butterfree is a monster and can get you through some of the hard early fights in galar I'm not sure if it applies to other games shield is the only one I've played (besides shining pearl)

Thanks for the info
Of course! :)
Many of these just depend on the game your on. A fire type run is either borderline impossible or so ez you’d beat it with your eyes closed
I would only add that on Gen 6 you can have in theory a Psychic starter with Fennekin because of the final evolution 😁
Poison is so slept on, great video, very well thought out and it really shows your expertise on the topic!
Ghost four gen 7 would probably be possible, the haloli cemetery has quite a few.
In gen 4 empoleon is steel type so as long your ruleset would be okay using piplup and prinplup during the run
Oh, that’s true! You can also get Shieldon pretty early and Bronzor not *too* much later. This is now a run I am looking at, haha
Congrats My Guy
