Discovered it and cleaned it on a progressive geo Ragley hardtail and flats a couple of months ago. Super fun. Love this stuff. Great job Progressive Trail Design, and MW, great capture to video as well.
It's a fun little trail. Cleaning it going south to north is one thing, and doing it without stopping to catch your breath at all makes it a reasonable challenge. Now...cleaning it from north to south is a different animal, and it's on my list to do when the trails are good and dry. A few sections stay wet a lot of the time, and even a slightly wet tire doesn't work well on those rocks even when the rocks are dry. If you like that one...go do "Here's Johnny" on the west side of Coler Bike Preserve. it's MUCH longer, and has some much tougher spots in it.
I'm assuming you'll be out blasting it this weekend? :-) When we see rocky chunk, we're like flies to day old meatloaf. For years we have been riding some alternate lines at Blowing Springs just to keep those skills sharp for when we travel. Now...we're starting to get this type of thing here locally, which is amazing. We are SO LUCKY to have what we have! On an even better note, word from Gary Vernon is..."Get used to it. 2018 is going to be like X-mas every month with what is planned."
Oh yeah! We hit some Coler goodness this morning, then this and Choo Choo for a bit, finished up with the Rail Yard. Heading to do some B40 in the morning. It really is incredible around here! I can't wait to see more!
NICE! I'm going to Coler early, then off to film some of the local Cyclocross race at Mem. Park. I don't understand the allure of that, but we have some buddies who do it, so we gotta go root 'em on!
Very well made. Not very big, but fun to ride and you have to be committed on the run-in. There's a little gap jump just after it that I didn't clear...not enough speed, but I'll be working on it the next trip!
Yessir....cleaning it from end to end is a good challenge for most riders. I think people are envisioning forced drops and things like that, but the main line is all roll-able. It's a technical beauty!
All of the trails on the channel, minus a trip to Moab and two heckle videos from great trails at Ponca City, OK, are from Arkansas. The particular one you referenced is in the Slaughter Pen trail system in Bentonville, AR....the Nortwest corner of the state. If you want to see the newest stuff, look at the latest videos from DH 6 and DH 5 from Lake Leatherwood at Eureka Springs. I can't emphasize enough how incredible the new trails that have opened here in Northwest Arkansas are. Tons of people from out of town are coming in and saying that there's no reason to drive out west to hit the resorts any longer. No elevation effects, trails that have all the gnar, big jumps, berms, big drops, and rock gardens that are on par with anything at Angel Fire, Trestle, etc. We've had great XC trails for years now, but now we have all the gravity you could ever want as well.
Yeppers! None other than Gary Vernon (Walton Family Foundation Trail Coordinator) was there ripping it as well, and he was the first on record to clean it, which just so happened to be on his first attempt with it all open. The more exciting news is...he said all of 2018 is going to be like X-mas every day with all of the new stuff coming to the NWA trails. BAM!!!! Double gnar fest!!

Such a rad spot!! Way to make it look easy. That is some super technical trail for sure!!

So stoked dude
The stoke is real! :-)
So much rowdiness! I'm riding it tomorrow morning! I've been dying for a trail like this around here.

Nice! Good work on that off camber drop
Thanks man! I love that trail.
Wish it still looked like that
As a matter of fact...it got cleaned up today! So hopefully it will be in good shape for a bit!
And yes....it's a little more chunky in person than on the GoPro. ;-)
Where are these trail
