Hi everyone! I did this short tutorial on the best features of Procreate I use every day for my personal and client work! Helped me lot, and I hope it helps you as well :)
Thank you for the procreate tips. This really helps me, especially for the unwanted smudge part. It happens to me most of the time and I can finally relieved after watching your video. 😁💕👍👍
Hi Danii! Thank you so much for the comment, I'm so happy this was helpful! I love all those easy and quick ways Procreate has to help speed up the illustration process! I would love to do more videos like this one after Procreate 5 is out:)
Asia! Thank you so much for these tips. One of the most useful that I have seen for Procreate in a long time. Especially useful for beginners like myself! I have been bingewatching your videos and I love your illustrations!
This is so incredibly helpful and valuable content and presented in such an efficient and concise manner, without having to watch a half-hour long video. Thank you so much! I was only struggling with that first problem about the first tip last night and here you have answered it for me. Plus I didn't know about most of the other tips!! THANK YOU! Keep up the brilliant work.
Leysa thank you so much, I’m supper happy it helped! I know the feeling of looking for something and running into a long tutorial🤗 so I went straight to the point 😊
All of these were so helpful! I also like the pacing of your video! And of course, the art work is awesome! Tip #6 was something I needed. Thanks for the help! Now I can avoid unwanted lines lol
I love your channel. I have been wanting to try illustration on iPad Pro and watching your videos has been so inspiring. I hanged been painting in acrylic and watercolor for sometime. I had only used procreate to try alternative color schemes or fix problems. I am so excited to give illustration on procreate a go. Thank you so much!
Hi Debbie.. I'm so happy that it helps and you get inspiration from my videos, that's the main reason why I do them, to share and inspire :) all the very very best
Thank you for sharing these tips! They were very useful! Especially the first tip! I've been colouring in those lines for a few months now but thanks to you, now I can work quicker! Also the dragging a bunch of layers to a different canvas was 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽 never knew that! And also the reference photo! I forgot about that option! Anyway thanks for sharing your videos with us! Cant wait to learn more 🥰💯🙏🏽
Hi thank you so so much! So happy that it helped, that’s so cool! Those ones were my favorites :) and I’m thinking on doing another one like this video with more 😊
Your channel is a goldmine. Discovered you a couple of hours ago, already seen 8-9 videos :) Really cool and helpful information. I foresee that i will learn a lot from you in the future, as i am now a subscriber :P (my sister too:P ) Wish your channel success. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this✨ as a artist going into digital the one thing I find frustrating is the time it takes to do something I want to create on the page compared to layering with paint for example. I am also trying the nomad sculpture app, I would like to use my art from pro create into the app to make a 3D version but I’m not sure I am biting off more than I can chew right now
Very helpful Asia !! As always i loved the beauty of the video but I knew 3 or 4 of your tips so it helped me a lot! I would like to know how to save the illustrations. I know that now we can save in layers in pdf? What kind of external hard drive do you use? Now they say iPad can export to pendrive but I tried different cables and doesn’t work. It’s a little blurry all that area. So if it is an interesting topic to talk about, I would love to know!
Hi Lis thank you so much! So cool that it helps ;) for external storage I use a Samsung T5 SSD 1TB and works amazingly! I export from Procreate my backups there, or if you need the PDFs or psd files as well :) you can also use Google Drive when exporting your files as alternative
Great tips, If i want to make an adjustment to a line / shape (mainly regarding the sketch layer) is there any way to change that line or shape specifically after have made many lines or shapes afterwards without having to erase all the other work? Like maybe somehow select that line specifically some how ?
I have to confess I didn’t know some of those procreate shortcuts. Very helpful! Do you ever vectorize your illustrations for client projects? I would like to know more about that, if it’s something you ever deal with. Thank you!
Hi! thank you so much! I'm so happy you found it helpful :) about converting raster to vectors, I didn't had to deal with this with any of my clients so far, and I think it's mainly because of the many small details I include in my work. I did though receive a few offers for vector illustration work. I will for sure explore it more, and maybe Procreate 5 has something cool around that (?) :)
@@AsiaOrlando Affinity Designer for iPad is really cool, it's like Procreate (and nothing can top Procreate in my opinion, but) you can draw just like in Procreate in vector mode. It's only something like $35 if you wanted to check it out. I like it, but still stick with Procreate.
Hi Leysa, yes I'll definitely have to try that. I'm thinking on exploring vectors next year and Affinity was on my mind. I will give it a try :) thanks for the tip!
Hi 👋 to be honest I have my iPad plugged while I work; and the pen holds all day long, never had to charge it mid work .. but i always make sure that if I go somewhere I leave it charging :)
Asia Orlando, that is actually the most obvious solution. I think because at the moment I’m just taking my iPad around to different parts of the house. Haha might need to get use to working from a desk. Plus I’m using the iPad Pro and pen just before second Gen. :)
It might be as well that the iPad battery is not as strong as it was, really common with Apple :( I have the 2019 model and I’m thinking on getting the new one soon hopefully:)
I like to paint my shadows all on one layer, I generally switch the layer mode and lower the opacity at some point. I try to do all my shadows all at the same time, but sometimes that just doesn’t work out. Is there a way I can select the original shadow color after the fact, without having to go back to the Normal layer mode and upping the opacity to 100%?

Hi Alaa, I don’t think that’s possible when working with rasters. Only with vectors I saw that, like in Affinity Designer 👍🏼
I have to confess I didn’t know some of those procreate shortcuts. Very helpful! Do you ever vectorize your illustrations for client projects? I would like to know more about that, if it’s something you ever deal with. Thank you!

THANK YOU LOVED IT. The gesture control options have changed can you tell me what to press to avoid the smudges with fingers please thank you
Hi Patricia thank you so much :) you can find the option under settings-prefs-gesture controls-general and “Disable Touch Actions” :) hope it helps
🖤
Can you import from coolors straight into Procreate?
Hi Erik 👋 to be completely honest I have no idea :)
I import work then import background I need help with transparency so I can see
My issue is keeping my iPad and pen charged while I’m working, I feel they run out too quickly. What do you do to solve this problem?
Hi 👋 to be honest I have my iPad plugged while I work; and the pen holds all day long, never had to charge it mid work .. but i always make sure that if I go somewhere I leave it charging :)
Asia Orlando, that is actually the most obvious solution. I think because at the moment I’m just taking my iPad around to different parts of the house. Haha might need to get use to working from a desk. Plus I’m using the iPad Pro and pen just before second Gen. :)

im sure the 2019 model ipad pro is quite adequate for a few more years ;)
I like to paint my shadows all on one layer, I generally switch the layer mode and lower the opacity at some point. I try to do all my shadows all at the same time, but sometimes that just doesn’t work out. Is there a way I can select the original shadow color after the fact, without having to go back to the Normal layer mode and upping the opacity to 100%?
Hi, I don't think that possible, besides working the shadows individually :(
I’m so glad I found your channel ! Love from Taiwan🇹🇼
So glad as well 🤗 love back from Amsterdam :)
