Hi everyone! this is the first of a series I'm building on tips about how to find your own style of illustration. Let me know below if this was helpful 😀
Such beautiful work! I wish I was that adept with digital art. I've watched a few videos, but that last bit of being silly with your coffee cup was funny, first I've seen you smile and seem more real!
Hi, Asia! I love watching your videos~ This especially came in handy because halfway through painting, I sometimes get lost on which color to pick next haha! This really helped. To answer your question at the end, I would love to hear more about your story as an illustrator, or how you were able to arrive at your current style. I don't know why but I love hearing about artists' stories. Apologies if you have already discussed this in a previous video, but I'll make sure to watch all of them so I could find them. :D Thank you and keep making great art! You are an inspiration ❤❤
Thank you so much 😊 there’s a lot to say about style, and it’s ever evolving, I talked a bit about this in a few vids here and also in my class, and I’ll probably talk more in future vids
Excellent video! I love your illustrations and the way you do your videos :D. I started recently to use Procreate and following your channel has been one of the most helpful things to feel confident when drawing :B
Danii thanks a lot 🤗 you are awesome 😊 Adobe got really better with that lately. It’s becoming super useful ⚡️⚡️⚡️ I need to try the Adobe Fresco in the next days
i am struggling a lot in picking a color palette for my artworks but your video helps me a lot especially the part where u remind us not to feel pressured or burdened, but to just have fun~~ i will practice hard, thank you so much for this video!
Hi Asia! I am really enjoying your first RUclips videos. It is very refreshing to finally “meet you” after following you on Instagram for a while now. I love all the colors too but I never felt I had a good color picking “instinct” - which led me to create mostly in black and white for years now. I’ve been secretly experimenting with color more lately (the iPad makes it very easy), so all of your tips are coming in very handy right now! Thank you! P.S.: that tiger is amazing ♥️
Hi! Thank you so much!😊 I think it’s all about practice! Slowly finding out which colors go well with you and your work, which ones just feel good! And with the iPad is easy to change them if you want at any time! It makes me very happy that this is helpful, I’ll be doing more and more Procreate video and tutorials now that Procreate5 is about to be out 😊
Hi Asia!! Omg!! I’m so excited to see you have a channel w so many videos. I didn’t know. I want to watch them all. Thank you so much for sharing your process n all you’ve learned. Very generous of you. :) I learned so much already. I’m going to watch this video a few more times. There’s lot of great tips. BTW you are one of my fav illustrators n to learn from you is such a blessing. :) thk u!! 😘
Hi Lisi! This is so nice of you to say 🤗, thank you so much 😊 I’m really happy that you like them and that they are helpful! That’s the main motivation behind my channel, share and help 🤗🤗🤗 and have some fun too!
Asia, your work is beautiful. I think many of your pieces would be suitable as jigsaw puzzles, as they have a degree of detail to them across the canvas, as well as bright, nicely-printing colours.
Yes ir vas very helpful. It gives many useful ideas to explore the color you want to work with. Thank you very much. Are you planning to do videos about analogic illustration?
Hey! The way it works faster for me is to take a screenshot, import into procreate, color pic the colors and save them into a new palette. I adjust the colors values if necessary. Adobe color uses .ASE files and Procreate .swatch so it will take more time to convert and import. I’m lazy that way ☺️

@@AsiaOrlando thaaaanks!!!!

Thank you, you are so sweet :)
Can we convert a photo printed from our mobile into illustration? If yes how ?
great video :)
Thank you so much Phillip :)
Hey Asia,
One question: how do you import a color palette from Adobe Color to Procreat??
Hey! The way it works faster for me is to take a screenshot, import into procreate, color pic the colors and save them into a new palette. I adjust the colors values if necessary. Adobe color uses .ASE files and Procreate .swatch so it will take more time to convert and import. I’m lazy that way ☺️
@@AsiaOrlando yeah, that's easier! Many thanks, amazing video!
Did you learn to create illustrations using skillshare courses or any other platform?
I did a video on that :) In my case I have formal Art education 😊
What pencils did you use at 7:02 ? Love the texture
👋 Fabian; that’s one of my own brushes. I don’t remember exactly which one is it. But it’s either from the sketchbook toolkit or Mix media 👍
@@AsiaOrlando thanks for the quick reply 🥳
Great tips, thanks! Asia what stand you are using for your iPad?
Nothing special, the standard Apple smart cover
