Schmincke masking fluid is great it washes out of your brush with water. You don’t need soap on your brush either. Steve Mitchell from mind of watercolor tested it on his Chanel a year ago.
Yes you have to thin bleedproof white with water, otherwise you can’t use it, it’s too thick. I have it as well, when it arrived I could hold the bottle upside down and it won’t fall out. Whenever you use it you have to stir it and make it the thickness that you want. I have a bit of the stuff in another container and thin it in there so I don’t have to put water in the original jar. That way I keep the bleedproof white fresh in the original jar.
By the way, the painting is awesome! I need metallic watercolor in my life. 😮
I love the bird. I absolutely love the metallic paint. I have the metallics in gel pens. It just adds that cool touch. Very nice.

Hi i am going to use Cobra water mixable oils but do not understand the fat over lean and if it still applies to W M oils
I don't use water mixable so I can't say for sure. What I do know is you don't want a layer that dries faster on top of a slower drying layer. That can apply to oils or acrylics, so I would imagine it would apply in your case too :)

Have to say I would have liked a more traditional transparent watercolor look. This could've been acrylic.
