Some of the best sounds I’ve heard on the channel. Hearing it in context, there is nice clarity and articulation of notes. Thank you for sharing, Justin.
you sir, are a great guitar player. i'm not particularly into worship music. but i can spot a good guitar player as a full time musician for the last 25 years.
Hi! Very informative video as always. Can you also feature some budget-friendly MultiFX/Amp modellers like the NUX MG-30 or the Valeton GP-200. Like, on how we can tweak/use it effectively for praise and worship?
Liked that board with the MXR Timmy and DOT. I have both of those and love them. I have a Nobels ODR1 mini that I haven’t even tried yet LOL. Tremolo picking and taps!! … I must have missed the part with the pinch and picked harmonic arpeggios and Jeff Beck-ish trem arm gymnastics. . Respect! Keep up the great work! Love your channel.
The MXR Timmy and Duke are going to be on a nano board for another video idea! And now that you mention it, I probably did do pinch harmonics during the night. The next video with footage from the same night has dive bombs and a Satch scream!
I researched all the modellers and came to the conclusion the Stomp HX XL is the perfect form factor. Its the best of a smaller and larger unit. Has just the right amount of footswitches. The tones are as good as all the newer modellers. Perfect as an all in one unit or just add an external drive or midi switch to unlock much more potential. The screen is the right size. You dont want a huge screen that can be easily smashed at a gig. It is quite simply all you need.
i think the hx stomp XL is the perfect in between for tone and capabilities, you get a awesome tone of the helix system and the ability's of the hx stomp, but with all that extra space and room for an all in one, now for a pedalboard i personally will suggest the hx stomp for the size and the fact that as you said that you only use a few effects only due to the fact that you have other external effects on your board, conclusion if you want an all in one, this is an awesome and budget friendly pedal for you, if you want it for a pedal board, it would be better to get the regular hx stomp so that you can get the capabilities of the helix software but in a smaller more compact form. P.S love the content bro, I'm always checking to see what's the next video you put out, its a real inspiration, God bless you👍😁
Thanks for the kind words, and for your ideas, they’re well thought out! Admittedly I put the Stomp XL together more for an experiment, it is reasonably better as an all-in-one.
I run a mini board with the stomp, ditto plus, jhs notaklon and a Dunlop volume mini. But the xl seems tempting for when I just want to bring and use one unit since it has extra switches for me to toggle drives and a looper but still not that familiar with hx ecosystem so just gonna put in some elbow grease into learning it first before I consider if I really want to change to one single unit 😅
Nice mini board! How are you powering it? This is giving me the creative fuel to think about a video exploring the Stomp XL as a true all-in-one (expression pedal doesn’t count, does it? Heh)
I having this problem , i think is digital cliping because there is a noise distored on the signal even if the chain is empty with no amp , cabs ,od , and efects . I have low output pickups . When i use dotted 8 delays the repets are with just distored sound , not with the sound of the note. Do you have any idea why this is hapening
That does sound like an issue. How are you listening to the unit? Rule out headphone or speaker issues by using other sound sources to see if the distortion persists. Then check if it’s the headphone or the main outputs that are causing the distortion. Are your outputs sending line level and it’s clipping your amplification? Try switching to instrument level.
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar Ok, I hadn't thought about that, the truth is that I'm using an inexpensive 5-channel PA and the inputs are 1/4. I've been using it for several years with the headrush stack with the hx effects and it sounds incredible but apparently the helix works differently.

Thank you for the kind words! Half of that clarity comes from the Majesty, which I was surprised took to the worship music genre so well.
I just started this video but already loving that hero shot. Lighting is on point! Guitars in the back...chefs kiss!
Thanks Jimmy! Aw thanks! It's my new basement space. I had my interior designer ensure we had a TON of lights.

Thank you for the kind words! I've been playing guitar for around the same time (25 years) but never had the chance to do it professionally.

Hi! Thank you for the kind words. I'll probably be looking at a Hotone Ampero Mini or something similar. Thanks for the idea!
Tone is one of the point 🤌🏼
Coming from you, sir, that means a lot!

@@AllAboutWorshipGuitarOh Yeah! My son blessed me with a Satriani and Vai concert recently. Afterwords had me looking at ‘JS’ guitar lineup LOL.
Love that JP Majesty guitar! Amazing content as always. God bless!
Thank you! I love it too! Too bad it’s a loaner for me, I was legit sad returning this!

Or add on an expression pedal, and you get a mini Helix!
@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar exactly. Dress it up or dress it down. It's great.

@@AllAboutWorshipGuitar I kept it really compact so I'm using the eventide power mini by cioks!
