The use of "stickers" that you move around for platforms and puzzles is actually a cool concept, I've never seen one like it, let alone a horror game.
Scribblenauts has that.
Trine kind has the same gimick
Drawn to Life: Two Realms has that too, though the execution is a bit iffy. The first two games for the series were developed by the same people as Scribblenauts.
It's hard to find an original concept these days

To me, this feels like a representation of "can't get water, five nights at freddys will be at the fridge" thing. Like, you have to mentally walk yourself through how to beat all the imaginary monsters just to grab some water, I dunno
You just reminded me of when I was little and I was going to sleep and was thinking "...what if jeff the killer comes to murder me" or when I had to turn off the lights and I ran so the monsters couldn't get me hahah
Bro i was the kid who kept believing in chain messages aka those "share this to 5 people or you will die tonight" messages
And i remember this one about some killer clown statue in the kitchen standing still and silent and bruh it made me go dehydrated for many nights

I like how this reflects the little girl's imagination. It's a really cute game. In her head she uses stickers to fend off monsters and goes out once she finally feels safe. Reminds me of when I was a kid. I only felt safe in the dark if I had a stuffed animal to protect me
what a sweet little game! i love the concept of our protag using the storybook to visualize what she'll do if she does encounter a monster while she's trying to get her water. giving herself the courage she needs to leave her room by herself. and if anything, that's what the point of fairytales usually are.

I can never tell until watching whether a "Cute Horror" game on this channel will actually be cute from start to end, which is a problem because I'm usually a nervous wreck and absolute coward. This game was thankfully quite cute and charming throughout, to the point that I want to play it even after seeing Manly play it from start to finish.

i like how at the stars the menu showed monsters everywhere and the girl was scared and when you finished the game it showed the girl calm and the monsters were gone

This is just adorable. The art style is perfect for that storybook tale feel, the puzzles are simple enough for a game so short, and all the designs strike a good balance of precious and some fairly spooky (for kids at least) monsters.

See my bedroom is upstairs so it's convenient to just have a water bottle in there for when I wake up in the middle of the night. Plus it helps when I have to take Aleve or something, I don't have to walk all the way to the kitchen for a drink and then walk all the way back. Sometimes the lazy way is the best way.
I mean, imagine being half asleep and having to solve puzzles, jump around and deal with monsters just to get some water, this takes a specific kind of determination. Respect.

i expected the kitchen to be the last level where it fools you by thinking you are done with the game by the sight of water but then a powerful boss suddenly summons and you have to survive it
"should've had a mini fridge" youre so true for that, Manly. i use a mini fridge as a bedside table and its perfect because i can just keep bottles of water inside so i dont have to go anywhere when i get thirsty at night
